This is a replacement for my aging Sony LCD TV which is still working good but I decided that it is time for an upgrade. I intended to buy a Samsung which happened to be out of stock, while looking around I found this TV. I was glad that I went with Sony again. First because of the familiarity with the settings. The picture quality is good especially with blu ray, set up was pretty easy, it connected right away with my home network. The sound quality of the speakers are just normal for TV, most people these days have a decent home theater set up anyway to enjoy their movies.

Works right out of the box!

I first bought the Cyberpower ups battery backup but I got the defective unit so I decided to get this unit instead. In comparison this is 6 lbs heavier than the cyberpower. This APC battery backup works right out of the box, does not have to wait 8 hours to turn it on but still need 16 hours for the battery to be charged to provide power in case of power failure. I have my modem, telephone and router connected to this unit, thunderstorm season results to occasional power interruptions, now instead of having a plain surge protector. my equipments have battery back up too.
What's great about it: Easy set up
What's not so great: bulky and heavy

Powerful but small

I bought this because I have good experience with my upright dyson vacuum. The performance and quality of DC34 met my expectation. I like the hygienic bin emptying feature as always. I wished the power button will lock so I don't have to continuously push on it to power up and wished the battery power will be longer than 15 minutes on a full charge. Good buy!
What's great about it: Good suction
What's not so great: The power button does not lock

Decent fitness band

After almost a month of use, my verdict is in. After downloading the IOS app, the pairing of the band and the phone was pretty easy. The band is accurate in monitoring my steps, the sleep monitoring I am not quite not sure. The switching of mode from sleep to steps is easy. I wish the device is water proof.
What's great about it: easy set up and use
What's not so great: scratches easily

Perfect companion for my Sony RX 100

I originally got the Sony soft case for my RX 100 but I accidentally cut into the zipper so I decided to get this as a replacement. This camera case offers more protection, supposed to repel water for maybe very light rain while out there sight seeing. I like that the camera feels secure inside and when it is in the back pack during transport I have that peace of mind that my camera is not taking a beating. Some people made a comment that the RX 100 does not fit into this case, all I can say is this is the perfect case for it.

I bought this camera for the smaller size and low light performance. I want something with better performance than regular point and shoot but does not want to take those big DSLR's. I had two big european vacations and my regret was the pictures taken at night could have been better. This is an additional camera for me but the way the RX 100 is performing, it looks like that this will be my primary camera and the old Canon will just be a back up. The only thing that I wish would have been different with this camera is the flash, for me it will be better if it is not an automatic pop up flash because of its location. The person taking the picture needs to be conscious that the flash is not being blocked by a finger and it is hard because the flash location is where we normally hold the camera. Overall it is an excellent camera, little pricey but it is worth it.
What's great about it: great pictures even in low light

I use it with:Point and shoot camera
After looking at other reviews I decided to go with this one. I got it for $8 on sale. This is not my first PNY SD card. With the mega pixels of the camera now getting higher, a higher capacity card is a must. I use it with my Sony RX 100 and it works perfect. Transfer rate to my laptop and iPad is fast.

I am skeptical for a long time to switch to harmony remote until I got tired of using three remotes just to watch a movie. I would give it 5 stars but there was no instructions included in the remote so to learn how to use it, I have to play with it or visit their web site. Once the learning curve is done, this device is wonderful! This is a great add on to my home entertainment set up.
What's great about it: Replaces 5 remotes
What's not so great: Needed phone support to complete the set up

Better than S video

Bought this for a DVD player that is not connected to a surround sound system. The improvement in picture quality over S video is really noticeable, the color is brighter and more natural. Definitely recommended for a set up without the HDMI cable.

I have a Sony DSC-RX100. I can't write the date to the picture.
Yes you can, I have the same camera. Look under settings, there is an option there for date and time stamp on pictures.

You can get a cable HDMI to RCA or video components, not sure about the picture quality though. HDMI is the best for video quality, it should be meant to be use HDMI to HDMI

Macbook air will be a good choice. Apple offers discount to students. I personally own a Macbook air and a Macbook Pro with Microsoft office installed in both and they work perfect for me. Macbook air with the SSD is great but storage is smaller compared to the Macbook Pro with hard drive. The 13 screen size is more easy on the eyes. I have been a macbook user since 2009 and my 4 year old laptop still works fast. Before that, I have been using windows and needed to upgrade every two years because the computer speed slows down as software gets more updates. In the end it will be what your preference is. Business and organization the macbook is a good choice, macbooks are ultra portable. I am both a pc and macbook user and my opinion is pc is more compatible for gaming, there are more softwares and gaming accesories available, and unless you buy an external monitor for your macbook, gaming is not really that much fun on a small screen. And if you don't mind doing your spreadsheets and other documents on a 13 inch screen you can never go wrong with a macbook but if screen size will be an issue you have to get the macbook pro or get an imac or just get a pc.
