So I waited for a sale, used some points, get some points, etc. I'm happy I got it because having the sound bouncing off the wall behind the TV was just not working for me. It is just a simple fact these days that now that we have gotten to thin profile, wall mountable sets we now have to also include as part of the process a soundbar. It is the industry that markets it as a add on to keep prices lower on the main unit but we as consumers have to look at the total cost of ownership. These days to keep the price as low as possible to get you in the TV is at a very low margin. The add-ons which are necessary because HOW the set are made & designed TRULY need a soundbar & 5 year extended service coverage. It is with these items the seller & manufacture add profit. I waited for the price to come down on the soundbar but of course had to get the service up front. Had BB price match TV to bring it down to lower price point for lower cost for service $1999 price point is $100 less that $2000 purchase. Hope this all helps. You need a soundbar, pretty much needs to be Samsung for find deal and get this.

Does this tv have a sound only mode?
Would I be able to turn the picture off but keep the sound on? Using this as a bedroom TV so would be a nice feature to just have the sound without a picture.
Sound has been an issue with pretty much all flat screen units. You might want to think Bluetooth speaker from another source depending on what you want to listen to & why...

Easy way is get a Google "Chromecast". It is a small device that goes into your open HDMI input like I hope your cable gets inputted from your comcast cable box. Input 1: cable, Input 2: Chromecast. Go to Google's Chromecast page for more. Very very simple & cheap & you will get far more than just youtube.
