You get what you pay for. If you want access to a level of service and speed that does not cause you pain then yes you have to pay. There is also the big issue of security. Never, ever do anything on a unsecured internet connection that you can't have the world and everyone you know see it and use against. There is a lot more on that subject. Simply ask yourself what and I doing / how much am I doing it / what is it worth to me to get it fast & secure (internet). Although this kind of applies to the rest of your life as well.
