Longtime Midwestern band which has gone through many personnel changes only to come back to their roots and leave again, return with what seems to be a quickly put together product. While it is ambitious, it lacks depth. On the surface it is ok. guitars are constantly moving and flowing, albeit fairly simply. Some good power chords here and there. Tries to be epic-but they have done it much better with different war topics before. Vocals are the albums saving grace. Stu does emote and project well and brings what life there is to it. Buy only if you are a die hard fan. Otherwise, you will leave perplexed. Something was there, it just didn't quite gel or develop.
