Their are some good metal infused raps, mostly about racial violence. They do not harbor on girly imagery on this disc, but there is enough profanity to satisfy. First half of the cd is especially strong, but the 2nd half is still good. Ernie C does a good job with the guitars.
If you like Arch Enemy and not still upset over the singer change, then this is for you. Jeff Loomis kicks behind throughout and the vocalist shows she belongs. Great sound and a dvd which has full show and a making of feature alongside 6 videos. Worth the purchase for all metalheads.
Self-titled disc was kept to its simple basics of slow heavy bass oriented crunch to great effect. Vocals are sick and the lyrics are even sicker. For those not heavily into metal, thats a good thing. This will go down as one of their best. While having a radio friendly song, it also offfers some vicious grinds as only a band named OBITUARY could pull oFF. Recommended.
This is NO Micky & Mallory.Just two lowfivehippiesgetting bottom feeding experiences as they giggle from place to place. No realaction orgreatdrama, just basically a collection of scenes that show little concern for their so-called love. I would avoid.
Slow methodicaldreery tone is set for this occult tale.Honestly without giving it away, the end isn't surprising, but the mannerisms ofpeople portrayed backthen are realstiffand rigid. Good watch.
I wont give details about the flaw,it can be overlooked. Filmed to be dreary in image, this film moves somewhat slowly to its climax. When it gets there, there are some awesome visuals and dialogue. The imagery is supurb if you like that sort of darkness. I liked it better than the first movie.
Straight to the point, very few special effects. This makes the last Godzilla seem overabundant in effects. Too much dialogue, uninteresting plot, and it takes forever to get to the issues. I can see why it bombed in the theater.
While a lot of material is here, the new stuff is ok. The funk groove they have come accustom to doing is solid. Two good old style thrash songs for the older fans I guess. Bonus stuff is good too,but most already have it in other live shows or on original songreleases. Worth the purchase in the end.
This Swedish metal band has been around for years. They always were of the melodic sort, but with some good guitar hooks. I forget (and care not to research) the name of the last cd they put out which was the years worst release in metal. This new one is slighltly improved, but not by much. They have embraced the metalcore style with nu-metal writing techniques to try and get the youth interested. FAIL. Sorry, the elders have started to abandon.
This is my favorite of Phil Anselmo's post-Pantera bands. For whatever reason in Phillips mind, he has deleted the 'Ritual' part of the name, but the sound remains similar. Some wild ideas stated very strongly, but not to the point of being vulgar like in the past. A bit more mature disc, but maybe slightly less fun. Still, a good listen.
