Great for school and light gaming.

I bought this laptop for school and it has delivered; the 8 GB of RAM is great for all of my classes and work that I need to complete, the i7 while slow for my liking is more than enough for even the most advanced program that I need to use. The 2 GB NVIDIA GT 745, while unimpressive, hardly gets used unless I play a light game so that is simply a luxury. The screen is brilliantly lit for a 1080p TN type panel and the viewing angles are surprisingly broad. The construction feels solid for a laptop made with a soft metal such as aluminum. I do have a few qualms with the system though. The sound is unimpressive, the DVD protrudes out a bit and while it is purely a cosmetic defect it still is a defect. The hinge feels very fragile and I am afraid that it might break under heavy use. I am not a fan of the plastic base, it should have a soft rubber pad that covers the whole bottom rather than individual feet. Now onto the battery and the motherboard, the battery is a 4 cell Li-ion battery that I can only seem to get 3 hours out of and the motherboard only has 2 slots for RAM and not 4 like the spec sheet said. This board is shared with a higher end series with a few things that are trimmed to differentiate between the two. The first of these trimmings is the lack of an M.2 SSD slot that has traces but no connector and the other is the GT 745M vs the GTX 950M. Other than that the computer is very solid and should last 4 years with minor upgrades in the future.

Just purchased a new system but I need an additional video card. The system comes with Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD with 32MB to 1696MB shared memory. What will work with this?

Which Graphic card for a laptop?

I have a Satellite x205-s9810 toshiba laptop and the games im running are not getting the frame rates i desire. It has a nvidia geforce 8700 gt with 512mb ram inside now. would like to run my itunes and the game worldofwarcaft at the same time with 50-60 fps. as i am getting 14 to 30fps now.

Unless you have Thunderbolt 3.0, which you do not. You cannot swap out the graphics of your laptop.
