This will definitely boost your coolness factor! Being able to zoom in on a bullet point or start up a video or click a link without touching your laptop is awesome. The presentation I threw together for a few friends went over very well and at the end they were all asking how I was able to start the videos without touching my laptop. I showed them my secret, the logi spotlight remote!!
This device is petty sleek. I have the slate color and I love the way it looks. The (mostly) all metal design feels very premium in your hand and the minimalist design is easy to master. There are only three buttons and the forward button is the biggest one and is the focus of most of the features. There is a plastic area on the back of the remote that is probably there to help with grip (if your hand happens to get sweaty during presentations) and possibly with allowing the long bluetooth range of 100 feet. I wasn't able to test the limits of that distance, I was only able to get about 45 feet away and further than that, I was on the other side of a wall so I can't speak to the 100 foot distance, however, at 45 feet, I had no connection issues. The battery life will have to be taken for their word for now though. They say it will last months and I tend to believe that claim, but time will tell. USB type C is used to charge the device and they included a USB type A to Type C connector which is nice. If you don't have a bluetooth receiver in your laptop, a USB Type A transmitter is included, which is what I used.
In order for this to work, you have to install their spotlight software, which I had some issues installing. It would keep stopping at the 91% mark. After a reboot when it did it again, I disabled my AVG anti-virus scanner and it completed. It thought that the spotlight.exe file was a trojan, so just be aware of that.

Neat Mesh wi-fi system

Let me get the bad out of the way first, my experience with using the app and getting all three nodes connected wasn't the greatest experience. The first two nodes connected very easily and when I got to the third node, I had nothing but problems. The node turned blue saying it was connected, but the app would not register it. After restarting the whole process again with the third node, and restarting the app a few times, I finally gave up. I did test connection with the ethernet port on the third node and it was working fine, but the app will not recognize it, so that is where it currently sits. This node does drop connection once in a while as well, so perhaps I have a bad node. I will call Linksys about it and hopefully they will have an answer for me.
The good, the looks of these things are great. I love the retro-modern look of them and the recessed ethernet, power, and buttons are a nice addition and the cable managing system is a welcome feature. Connection speeds is 100% as described on all of my nodes (even the one that drops connection. I have basically used the system to have ethernet wiring in my house without the added expense. The two nodes have been rock solid with connection, just the third one has dropped once in a while. I currently have my Tivo Bolt and a Tivo Mini connected using these and they work perfectly as if connected via ethernet. (Wirless connection between the two is not supported by Tivo, so this is a way to bypass that.)
Overall I would recommend this to family and friends, but tell them to watch out for a bad node. Hopefully I am just an anomaly in the Velop world.

Pretty good at making coffee!

This is a pretty good coffee maker. I love the design of it and it fits perfectly in my kitch as a modern sort of retro design. It uses a #4 cone filter if you wish or it has an included wire filter that you can use and reuse. I found myself using paper filters to keep the grounds out of my sink. You can easily take the filter out with the bracket that it sits in so it makes clean up very easy. The frother on the side is a very neat addition for a coffee maker. It has a little wire loop circle that basically just vibrates around and turns your milk/creamer into a foamy substance. I found myself doing this with my coffee/creamer combo and it is a nice change for my regular coffee. This coffee maker also comes with a two sided measuring spoon to help guide you on how much grounds to use, a very welcome feature in my mind since I can never remember the correct ratio of water/coffee. However, the biggest feature that I love about this is the ability to remove the water tank and fill it away from the coffee maker. It makes it so easy now and I don't find myself trying to pour water into a little inlet that my old coffee maker had. I am really looking forward to my next cup of coffee as I write this right before bed. I have never had a coffee maker make me that excited about coffee before and it may just do the same for you. My only complaint is that the carafe only holds 10 cups, but it is super easy to make an additional pot that it really hasn't bothered me much.

Lots of shaving configurations

this razor has a lot of different heads for different shaving needs. I really like the beard trimming settings. There are a few different heads and each one can be adjusted further for that perfect trim. I did find it a bit confusing on how to install the guide head for the right trim, but after a quick look in the instructions, I was able to figure it out. Removing the heads to swap out to the different razors or the nose/ear trimmer is a bit tricky, but once you figure out which way to turn it, it comes off nicely. Included are all the heads you would ever need, some lubrication oil for the blades, and a very nice carrying case that holds all the accessories with plenty of room. I have used this for a little over a week and nearly every day and so far I have only charged it for the initial charge and it is still going strong. I really enjoy being able to use this in the shower so I don't have hair to clean up around my sink. I am looking forward to using this alot more and keeping my stubble beard looking its best!

Let me start off by saying that this product has a lot of potential and it will be up to google to implement that potential. Hopefully they support this device for a long long time and make it better. Out of the box though (November 2016) it has a lot of thing left to be desired, as in functionality wise. Google maps integration and email integration is not there yet. You can ask how far something is and how long it will take to get there, but you can't have it sent to your phone in the form of navigation directions. I would find that very useful. Also as far as controlling your smart devices in your home, it only supports a few players at this time. I do enjoy asking random questions, playing trivia games, playing music (speaker is very good btw), and hearing my daily news. The gray fabric goes perfect with the walls in my house and the Google Home fits in well and looks sleek and modern.
If you want a product that is ever-changing and has the promise of doing so much more, this is the product for you. If you are looking for something to do it all right out of the box, you may want to wait till google provides more functionality to the Home in the near future.

Google hits one out of the park

This phone is blazing fast! Applications open up fast and switching between apps is smooth and quick also. The camera is probably one of the best currently out and the low light pictures I took have turned out great. I found that I really didn't miss the optical image stabilization as much as I thought I would. It simply works good. If you like to have movies and lots of music stored on your device I would suggest getting the 128gb version, although the 32gb will suite me just fine. I just have to get used to letting Google photos delete my old photos to make room. It's nice that they give you unlimited full size storage in you photos account now.
Now the bad, I don't care too much for the boring design, I wish it was a little flashier. But to be honest, I will just hide it in a case anyway. I also came from using a Samsung device and I do miss the physical home button and the onscreen buttons are taking some time to get used to.
All in all, this is a great phone and you won't be disappointed with it.

A fast and very impressive router

I am going to be honest here, the last Linksys router that I bought was the WRT54G, which was about 12 years ago. It has served me well through the years and I expect the same quality and longevity out of the WRT3200. This router has some weight to it and it feels very sturdy. Four antenna allow you to angle the signal direction to suit your needs. Setup was pretty simple and straight forward and it walks you through the steps. Very easy for beginners to set up and the advanced features are rich and full of features that the most advanced users will enjoy customizing. I haven't played around with the open-source features, but according to the manual, its ready to play nice with open-source applications. The range has been really good in my large house and I have really good coverage at each of the corners in both the upstairs and downstairs. This is a router that will last you for a while with its fast speeds and ability to handle a lot of devices. I have about 50 devices connected to it and I have noticed zero slowdowns at all. IMO, get this now!

Pretty solid tablet for the casual user

This tablet has pretty decent performance for that it is. I found that it handled multitasking pretty well, but there was some noticeable lag and stuttering with the UI at some points. Over all, it wasn't terrible, but it was there. A lot of bloat is installed on this tablet, most you can delete or disable. The screen is decent and visibility in bright areas is pretty good. Battery life will easily get you thru the day with moderate usage. I really enjoy the design of the tablet, it really feels like a quality product and it feels pleasant in the hands. The rear and front cameras are pretty average and are no where near what they put in the top of the line Samsung phones these days. Over all, I would recommend this to someone who isn't a power user or that requires the latest and fastest tech. The addition of a stand is nice as well.

Great headphones that sound even better

I fell in love with these things the moment I opened the sweet box that they come in. They were super easy to pair with my Note7 and they sound great. I really like how secure they fit into my ears, and I have worn them for about 2 hours at a time and my ears do not hurt after wearing them. You do get three different sizes of ear things and I stuck with the mediums that came already attached. After about 1 hour of music playing (loudly) I had about 90% battery left after a full charge. These will easily last a few workouts. I really like how it will tell you how much battery is left when you turn it on. It will also tell you what device it is connected to, which might come in handy for some people. My only gripe so far is how far they stick out of your ears when you have them in. But its really not that bad. They also come with a nice little carrying case.

Great Product that really is rock solid

Let me start off by saying that I am extremely happy with this product. I was having some serious connection issues between my Tivo Bolt and my Tivo Mini. They would lose connection with each other multiple times a day, requiring a restart of the router and the Linksys RE7000 range extender that I was using. The Bolt was plugged into the ethernet port on the RE7000 and the Tivo Mini was plugged directly into the router. *NOTE: Tivo doesn't recommend or support this type of set up, but wiring my house with Ethernet or setting up the MoCA network were not options. Anyways, I hooked up the ORBI and the only change I made was plugging the Tivo Bolt into the satellite Orbi and after a week, I have had no connection issues. The link between the Orbi units has been rock solid. I am VERY pleased!
SETUP: I found the setup to be pretty straight forward. I first tried to use my Samsung Note7 to initiate the configuration, but the mobile web browser was not liking things, but once I switched to my laptop, it was smooth and easy to set up. There wasn't an app to use, but I used the web link that was provided in the paperwork.
I would highly recommend this to anyone that is looking for a solution for a large house. The wifi coverage is great as well. I am getting a strong signal all through my 2500 sq ft house and all through the .33 acre of land that my property resides on.
Update: received an email today from them with this new information:

you need a tiny star bit to remove it, it will void the warranty if you did a security sticker is installed. IMO, just get the non-heat sink version for your laptop. I was not able to install this in my Asus G15 2021 model due to the heatsink making it too thick.

Does this have the port for the thermometer? I have the smart xl that’s been great but after a year and a half it’s time to replace since we use it at least 3 times a week minimum. But just wanted to know if I could use my old thermometer in this one?

Elite 85T or Elite 7 Pro? Calls and ANC aren't important. I just need bass heavy sound for music. So which one is bass heavy and better? Is 85T better because of big drivers?
not sure about the 85t, I had the 65t and I feel that the 7 Pro has less bass than those.

Is the Elite 7 Pro "vented" like the AirPod Pro and 85t? I returned the 75t becasue I didn't like the plugged ear feeling.
no, they make a seal that does not let sound in. It requires using the "hear through" so you can easily carry on conversations. Your ears will be plugged.

you just need an HDMI connector and it will use the laptop as the source when you select the right HDMI input, there are two to choose from.

Does this oven emit a lot of heat and is the exterior very hot to the touch?
does not heat up that much on the outside. It is warm to the touch but it will not burn you.

Yes, the right dial works as a temp/timer and you just press it to toggle between the two modes.
