When America's number-one NASCAR speed-demon is issued a direct challenge from a gay, French Formula One racer with a hunger for the top spot and a mean talent for tight-cornering, the race is on to become the number one-man in all of NASCAR in a full-throttle comedy starring Will Ferrell and directed by Anchorman cohort Adam McKay. Ricky Bobby (Ferrell) is a national hero with a "smokin' hot" trophy wife, pair of abusively precocious sons, and an endless line of endorsement deals filling his mansion with toys and his driveway with sports cars and Hummers. His racing partner and lifelong friend, Cal Naughton, Jr. (John C. Reilly), never fails to provide him with a hand on the racetrack, frequently performing their trademark "slingshot" maneuver to shoot Ricky into first place, leaving Cal in second. While the public loves these buddies (popularly known by the meaningless childhood nicknames they find so exceedingly cool: "Shake and Bake"), a wedge comes between the two, as Ricky Bobby's longstanding winning-streak is broken by flamboyant French Formula One driver Jean Girard (Sacha Baron Cohen), robbing Ricky of everything in an instant as the trauma leaves him unable to drive. Ricky's wife takes his fortunes while Cal takes his wife, and now he's back with his mother (Jane Lynch) and long-estranged father (Gary Cole). Things look bad for Ricky, but his father was once a racecar driver himself, and now with the help of a training montage, a live cougar, and the courage to drive without his gleaming-white Wonder Bread endorsement, Ricky might be ready to face the track again. Sony Pictures' unrated, widescreen DVD release includes many scenes not originally seen in the theatrical version interspersed into the film.

This movie was overrated. I heard that it was roll on the floor, hold your sides, tears coming down your face funny. No. Will Ferrell is an okay actor. The plot isn't great. I give this movie an eh.

The movie followed the books, but I enjoyed the books way more. The acting was terrible for the most part, which really upset me since I enjoyed the books so much. Not a must see movie.

good for the price

Not bad for the price. The best out of the three is the first one. To me it's the most dramatic and the best acting. Kind of went down hilll with each movie. It's the average teeny-bopper horror movie with some female nudity, blood and gore. I think you should at least see the first one if not the other two, so the three pack might not be the best idea, but again, not bad for the price.

Odd movie. Basically a twelve year old boy that has been bulied all of his life meets a "twelve year old" vampire girl who moves in right next door to him. He shows her an act of kindness and then she begins to build his self esteem. He begins to fight off his bullies and fall in love with the girl. They both fight and kill for eachother. Odd. The english is a little rough. There are parts that just make you say 'huh?'. I don't recommend buying it but it's cool to see a Swedish horror movie and how they see vampires.

Not a great movie. There was weird, happy music playing through the whole movie in spots where there should not have been any music. The actors were not great. .

A little slow at the beginning but soooo much better than the original, even with the ending being changed. Makes you think about what you would do in that situation. Would you really let people who SAY they are stranded stay in your house overnight? Twisted.

Before there was the hit TV series, there was the theatrical version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer starring Luke Perry and Kristy Swanson. Fox has done an only passable job on this 1.85:1 anamorphic transfer. The colors look bright and bold but there is a washed-out feel to some scenes and a fair amount of dirt and grain in the image. Audio is presented in Dolby Digital 4.0 Surround in English. This soundtrack is not quite as impressive as a full-fledged 5.1 soundtrack, but it does get the job done for the movie it supports. All aspects of the dialogue, effects, and music are clear of distortion, though a small amount of hiss is present during a few scenes. Also included on this disc are English and Spanish subtitles, as well as a Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround track in English. Extra features are limited, including a theatrical trailer for the film, a four minute featurette, two TV spots, and a few theatrical trailers for other Fox movies.

Not bad. It can't compete with the tv series but it has it's funny parts that with just have you saying 'that is so stupid' and shaking your head, but not in a bad way. It's something you should watch for the entertainment value.

I admit that I waited until it was on DVD because I thought it wouldn't be good, but man was I wrong! Kind of makes me never want to drink again. Incredibly weird situations make the movie hilarious.

what does it mean when a movie is backorder?

i want to buy movie disorderlies but it back order how does that work?
Backorder means that the movie was either in high demand and the bestbuy warehouse ran out, or that the movie isn't requested often enough for them to keep it in stock. To sum it up, bestbuy has to order it from the original manufacturer. You can still order it buy the delivery might take longer than usual. Bestbuy will inform you through email whether or not they can get the dvd, and if it's on the way. If they can't get it for you, you won't be charged for the DVD.
