Iron Man 3 Is A Improvment over Iron Man 2

The first film in phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a improvement over the second film.By being a more standalone story while dealing with the fallout from The Avengers,the filmmakers are able to tell a real character study of Tony Stark.They also found a nice hook to bring Iron Man's main villain,The Mandarin into the film series.As usual the cast is all around great and Robert Downey Jr. continues to own this role.

What's great about it: A fun standalone story.
What's not so great: A little slow at times

A Exciting New Take on the DC Comic Superhero

For fans of Smallville reluctant to a new take on Green Arrow not connected to the former show,you are missing out.This is a very strong first season with great casting and storylines.A very fresh take on Green Arrow.The only limiting factor is the Nolanistic no superpower rule of his Dark Knight trilogy.But this will be changing in season 2 with the introduction of a major superpowered hero.Arrow is all around a great show.
What's great about it: Great Story And Character
What's not so great: Limited by No Superpower rule.

Captain America Is So bad It's Fun

Right up front,Captain America is a bad movie.The acting is poor overall and the film is just plain poor BUT it's actually fun because of it.Especially as a look back at where Marvel films were vs..where they are today.If you go in with the right mindset and maybe a bottle of booze then it may be a fun time.And I appreaciate the bonus featurette included too.I give this a overall Fair ranking due to the fun of watching such a bad film but it is a poor movie.

What's not so great: It is a bad film.

A faithful adaptation of the comci book story.

Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox is one of the best DC Univverse animated films.This is the story the led to the New 52 reboot in 2011 and it is true to the comics.While certain subplots can only lightly be touched on this is understandable for a movie and fans of the Flashpoint comic miniseries will not be disappointed.

What's great about it: Very faithful to the comic.
What's not so great: Some of the subplots could only lightly be touched on.

Evil Dead(2013) is gory old fashioned horror.

The new Evil Dead is one the better recent horror remakes.With a return to the scares of the original film over the slapstick comedy of Evil Dead 2 and Army Of Darkness,we get a gory horror film that acts as a nice companion to the very first Evil Dead.

What's great about it: One of the better remakes.
What's not so great: Predictable conventions of the genre.

The better of the two post earth films of 2013.

2013 had two movies about a post human life on earth.This was the better of the two.Tom Cruise does a good job in the lead and the design work on this film is excellent.While a little slow in the beginning,the film really gets going at its midpoint.Joseph Kosinski who also directed Tron:Legacy does a nuce job in his sophomore film.

What's not so great: A little slow at the beginning.
