I have really benefited from the fitness tracking functions of the watch and the maps functions paired with the iPhone. The watch faces are nice and customizable and when paired with additional bands provide for good accessorizing to work with an outfit. It's been good for those purposes. Most of the other apps have yet to be consistently useful. The first time you waive your wrist at someone to use the ApplePay through the watch they'll look at you funny and it'll be awkward. Good first experience with a smart watch, though. Hadn't worn a watch in years, now feel naked without it. More versatile as a fashion piece than a Fitbit or other smartwatches so far.

Stylish Minimalist Universal Remote

Does the job very well. I'm controlling a 4K 3D LG TV, Pioneer Elite AV Receiver, Blu-ray player, Apple TV, Roku 2, and Nintendo Wii with this unit. Simple to program, easy to use. The only thing I miss from more advanced models is the help protocol on the remote itself. You have to use the Smart Control App on your smartphone to access the help feature. Great way to consolidate remote controls for several devices and eliminate clutter and technology challenged individuals love the simplicity of it.

Pretty limited entry level home theater receiver

This is a pretty basic home theater receiver by Harman Kardon. At 425W for 5.1 channels it's somewhat underpowered and those power ratings are often suspect in mainstream audio receivers. (Go into the Magnoila room where the power ratings are reliable). Very basic. It'll will give you surround sound if you the right speakers, but it won't blow your socks off and you can find better models from better names (Yamaha, Denon, Pioneer (Elite)) for the same money. Additionally this is almost a two year old model with little to no upgrade when the industry has added quite a bit of functionality (Dolby Atmos, streaming services, 5.1-11.2 configurations, multiple speaker zone sound).

Found this receiver on sale for under $500. Great price for a mid-level home theater receiver with ample power (1190W). Great expandability. I have a 5.1 speaker setup now with four satellites for the fronts and rears, that I will shift to 7.1 configuration by adding a couple of towers for the fronts. Supports Dual Zone functionality so you can play music in a second room in your house. Remote is simplified from most AV Receivers and all additional functionality can be accessed through the graphical user interface when connected to your TV. Was easy to setup and use. Easy to use Airplay functionality and other streaming services built in. Sound is crisp, bright, and solid. Great for pounding out Hip-Hop and Pop and really crisp highs for voices and strings on classical music. Elite is a great name. I highly recommend this unit.

Smartly designed 4K 3D HDTV!

I had a pretty good 1080p 3D Smart HDTV before this. However, my experience has with this model has far surpassed that one. The image quality is fantastic. The design allows the bezel to practically disappear from sight so that all you see is the image on the screen. The user interface is very thoughtfully and intuitively designed. The magic remote is still the best out there and this iteration has just the right number of buttons. And several times, I've been blown away by the system's ability to anticipate and adjust automatically. When connected to a home theater receiver by HDMI cable the TV will automatically switch the sound output from TV to audio out when the receiver is switched on and vice versa. There is Bluetooth functionality to connect wireless headphones for sound (why have we not been able to do this sooner). The only knock I have on it is the local dimming when the screen is black (credits & intro screens). There are four or five vertical bands for the local dimming and if anything is displayed anywhere in that band the whole band appears dark grayish next to other bands that aren't lit. Even though you get a better black with the dimming I find that the offset of having uniform dark gray (w/o the dimming) is preferable to the distracting black and gray bands. This is a great TV without having to spring for the cost of an OLED. I highly recommend it!!

I've purchased the Insignia Soft Shell Case for previous iPhones and they have been better in the past. This one was thinner and more loose than previous editions to protect an iPhone 6/6s that already feels to light and fragile. I would say this is useful for preventing scratches, but doesn't offer a whole lot more protection.

This is a fun movie. Rihanna, Jim Parsons, and Steve Martin deliver on the comedy and the story pokes fun at the assumptions of Imperialism and Colonialism which don't feel relevant to society today, but which our society is built upon. And its fun that the star is a female person of color with ethnic hair who topples the empire just by searching for her mom. I love this movie and so do my kids. Its a lot of fun whether you take it all apart like that or not.

Does the tv being used with this player need to be a smart tv or does the player make it a smart tv?
The TV does not need to be a smart TV. This unit can add Smart features to any TV. The Smart features are often better looking and functioning on the TV's than they are on the disc players, but not so in this case. If you have a TV (without smart features) that you're happy with, this can provide you with a means of watching DVD's and streaming internet movies, programs, and other content.
