I bought this to replace an older and smaller storage card for my wife's DSLR camera. In addition to the benefits of greatly expanded storage (went from a 2GB to 16GB) I was surprised by how fast the read/write speed was. There was a noticeable improvement in the lag between taking a photo and the camera being ready to take another one or pull it up for viewing.

I purchased this to replace a 4th gen iPad. It is so much lighter and thinner. I can hold both edges with one hand and my arm doesn't get tired from holding it. It doesn't feel smaller either. I found my eyes just accepted the smaller screen because everything is in proportion to the older full-size model. I Do notice how big the old one feels when I go back to it, but aside from that it has been a seamless transition. Apple knows how to make a high quality product from hardware to software and even aesthetics.

A good screen protector can save you either a $100+ repair or worse a $700+ replacement cost. The problem is I always mess up the application and it looks like garbage and worse it starts to come up at the edges shortening the protective life of the product. Geek Squad does it perfectly every time, it only takes a few minutes, and at $7.99 that's a bargain.

I replaced an old DC35 with this and while the other one did its job without fail, this one does the job impressively!!! Incredibly powerful suction. For a battery powered cordless, it feels almost as strong as my full-sized Dyson upright. I never run out of battery either unless I'm trying to vacuum the whole house on the high setting. It pulled loads of dust and dirt out of a rug that didn't even look dirty to begin with. Buy this vacuum. It's great for all lengths of carpet, hardwood floors, and for vacuuming out your cars as well. Only drawback is that this unit doesn't come with a crevice tool, but fortunately I still had the one from the previous unit.

it is really well made, but you can find suitable generic models online. I found one that seems identical in material and workmanship. The generic band had slightly more lateral (side to side) sway than the apple branded version, but at $150 vs $12 with a 1 year no-questions-asked-replacement warranty, I didn't see that much difference to warrant the extra $140. There's not even a logo on the apple branded band.

Does the tv being used with this player need to be a smart tv or does the player make it a smart tv?
The TV does not need to be a smart TV. This unit can add Smart features to any TV. The Smart features are often better looking and functioning on the TV's than they are on the disc players, but not so in this case. If you have a TV (without smart features) that you're happy with, this can provide you with a means of watching DVD's and streaming internet movies, programs, and other content.
