If you're like me, you're just happy to own another Godzilla movie on BD/DVD, in its native language.
But if you're normal, your mileage may very. This definitely isn't an example of the best or the worst the Godzilla franchise has to offer.
This isn't the one to start with for anyone trying to get into the world of Japanese giant monster movies. But if you're in that world, you're probably already addicted, so just get it because it exists!
For diehard Superman fans, there's a lot to dislike about this movie, to be honest. A few thrilling bits here and there, and great fight scenes, but the overall tone is so, so wrong.
For people with only a passing interest in Superman, that's probably going to annoy you a lot less. In that case, just fire it up for the great action and effects.
Lost Boys is no instant classic or anything, but it's a fun 80s throwback that is absolutely perfect to throw in the machine every October when that Halloween mood is right. (Well, maybe every other October.)
People consider Iron Man 2 to be the weakest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and they're probably right. But what not enough people consider is this: the weakest Marvel movie is still leaps and bounds better than most of the action movies that try so desperately to emulate them, and Iron Man 2 is no exception.
This intense release from the acclaimed British detective series Sherlock includes all three feature-length episodes from the show's third season, following the adventures of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's titular hyper-observant detective as set in modern day London.
I can't say enough good things about the BBC's modern-day reinterpretation of Sherlock Holmes. It's almost become commonplace these days to see shows about socially-awkward crime-solving geniuses, but few of them do it with wit and style of this show.

This release collects every episode from the debut season of The Blacklist, the NBC series starring James Spader as a powerful and lethal spy who helps authorities catch other nefarious international criminals.
I got this set as a gift for a friend who doesn't watch much TV, and he loved it. The police procedural aspect of each episode is well-done but not terribly original, but the real reason for watching this show can be summed up with two words: James Spader. His character Raymond Reddington carries the show almost single-handedly on the strength of his charm and wit.
Fun movie, not quite on the same level as WB's excellent Justice League animated series, but worth a watch if you're a fan of the DC superhero universe.
