Need security? Look no further! BEST IN CLASS!

-=First Impressions=-
Nice and secure packaging to protect hardware from damage. It white… very white! Not liking that since cameras are NOT supposed to be seen or attention drawn to them. I am sure this can be fixed with some sort of skin… yep, already ordered some. Looking through the box you get two magnetic mounts and NO OUTDOOR MOUNTS. Disappointing… have to shell out more cash.
-=Build=- (7/10)
Everything is made of plastic. Bright white plastic. This is how these can be made affordably.
The cameras have a high gloss finish so they stand out anywhere you put them. The cameras feel light and cheap until you actually put the batteries in them… then they feel like solid cameras. The battery is built extremely well. There isn't any flex in the casing like you find in other cheap rechargeable battery packs. The mounts are plastic with a metal half sphere. I like these mounts for indoor use as they offer multiple angles and flexibility for aiming your cameras. However, these are NOT good for outdoor use since someone can just walk up and snatch your camera. To rectify this, Arlo has included a threaded mounting option for which they do NOT provide. You will need to shell out more money if you want to use these outdoors. Overall, I do not question if these will last. Above average build quality.
-=Setup=- (9/10)
These cameras were up and running in 10 minutes. If you can install an app on your phone or press a button you have all skills needed to make this work. Mounting where you want them takes the skill of creativity and planning to make sure you are getting the area you want most. All you do is give power to the base, plug the base into your router, and sync the cameras… that easy. The longest part was creating a login for Arlo which took all of 3 minutes. Out of the 10 minutes to get the cameras online, 3 of them you will be making an account unless you already have a Netgear account. If you want to use the Alexa skill, add another minute to setup because you have to link the skill to your Netgear account.
-=Things I Love=-
+Ease of Use/Setup - this is the fastest camera system I have ever setup. I have use ALL of the other competitors out there.
+Arlo App - this app is the best! I can monitor ALL my cameras live if I want to as if I am in front of a security room with screens for each camera. You can have 2way conversations through the app, make camera adjustments, and zoom all in app.
+Third Party Integration - the camera seamlessly integrates with Alexa. I love the ability to say Alexa, show me the backyard and I get a full screen (ON TV!) through my FireTV. It works with the Echo Show and Echo Spot well also. It also supports SmartThings, IFTTT, and Strinfigy too.
+Free 7 Day Cloud Storage - I don't know of any other company offering a free option for cloud recording. All the others I've tried you have to play at least $3/device. Arlo gives you up to 5 devices on a 7 day plan for free. WINNER!
+Battery Life - this battery is rated up to six months. This will all be contingent upon how much recording it does. I like the wired option for high traffic areas
+Zones - this allows you to only turn on motion for a certain part of the video feed. If you have a pesky tree near it this will trigger lots of motion
+Audio/Motion Triggers - this camera will turn on for sound or motion. Most cameras only will record if you have motion trigger them.
+Doubles as Unmonitored Security System - the Arlo system includes a siren that can be triggered automatically if you set the rules to do so. It offers geofencing so if you are away and it detects you are not in your home, you can set rules to sound a siren much like ADT systems with ear piercing decibels. This could make an intruder think you have an alarm and force them to leave.
+Secure Offsite Storage and Easy Downloads of Videos - if someone steals or disables your cameras, the recordings don't go with them. You have them stored online and easily accessible to upload or email to someone in the cloud.
+Ability to record to USB - you can have a thumb drive plugged into the hub and it can record there for you also. Options if you don't like the cloud for your privacy.
-=Things to be Improved=-
-Lack of Outdoor Mount - for the price of this system, you should include at least one outdoor mount instead of charging over $20 for one.
-Video Quality - you get 1080p but it is still very graining in low light situations. I don't get clear pictures at night but it isn't a wired system so I guess that is to be expected.
-Alexa Skill - it would be nice to be able to do other functions besides just showing the feed. Features like 2-way communication and maybe zooming in from the remote or voice commands would be great. Maybe asking battery levels/connection strength of the cameras as well would be useful too.
-High Gloss White Exterior - I would like to see other options rather than having a bright white camera as the only one. White is not a great color to conceal a camera and will attract attention of someone who wanted to steal the camera.
-=The Verdict=-
If you are looking at this, you probably are or have already researched the other names in the game. In my opinion, this is THE BEST system out there. If provides the most options and you can scale it to grow with you. I can foresee this becoming a security system much like Nest is trying to do. I like where this is going, and Netgear is definitely on the right track with providing value not found with its competitors. MUST BUY if you are in the market for wireless cloud recording security systems.

Clean your carpets more efficiently with this Rogue robot vacuum. The intelligent mapping helps the device navigate quickly through your home, and it has a tri-clean system that agitates, brushes and uses suction to ensure a thorough cleaning. This Rogue robot vacuum returns to its base for recharging when the job is done.

A lot of bugs... but promising start
on November 7, 2017
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
I will start this review like this… give it a chance. This is a great device with lots of bugs that will eventually be great. Next, is my usual breakdown of what I like and would change about it.
-=|Things I Would Change|=-
WiFi Setup and Compatibility
-I've never had so much trouble with connecting something to Wi-Fi. Whatever chipset is used for Wi-Fi communication is just odd and clunky. I've not been able to properly and reliably connect the device to any form of secured network. The instructions explicitly state that 2.4GHz is the only type of network it will connect to. What they don't say is that the SSID has to be 2.4GHz ONLY. I run a mixed 2.4/5.0 SSID and 99% of devices have no issues connecting. They connect to the band they are capable of. Not this guy! Rogue is like no can do, I need 2.4GHz ONLY network just to connect. Now, not just any 2.4GHz network initially, one that isn't secured. I couldn't get this darn thing to connect to anything until I set up a new SSID that was unprotected and put my APs in LEGACY (802.11b/g) mode. Then, magically it connected, seemed to download a firmware update, and then I was able to get it to connect to a secured 802.11n network. At least I assume it downloaded a firmware update because I figured that if I could get it on the internet Hoover probably had newer software for the thing ready to download that might fix some of these Wi-Fi issues - it's one of the features after all. In 2017 this was just silly and inexcusable.
Poor Firmware out the Box
Out of the box it will only connect to a 2.4GHz on an unsecured network. Most people have upgraded to better routers that are TriBand and offer A/G/B/N at both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. You have to connect to Hoover somehow to get the update. A not so techy consumer who does not have a background in IT or Networking will get frustrated and return this vacuum. It would be nice to have the vacuum connect through the app and load the firmware via Bluetooth or on its own WiFi network like GoPros or other devices do through an app.
No Support for Android (as of 11/5/2017)
Do you want to set it up on your Android? The app is nowhere to be found. A response from Hoover on here says the application for Android should be in the Play Store today, but it should have been on the Play Store weeks ago. You don't ship a product, advertise ON THE BOX that it has support for something, and then it's nowhere to be found. I have an Android phone and this is very, very, disappointing. EPIC FAIL! Simple solution, create the Android App BEFORE you advertise it has support for it.
Apple App Feels Rushed
The iPhone/iPad App is really just an iPhone app. It just scales up to iPad resolution like old apps did when iPads had apps developed exclusively for them. On my iPad the app runs in iPhone mode so everything is magnified. It's slightly clunky, but an improvement over the other Hoover app available. I've yet to have it reliably connect to my Rogue on the name network. The Rogue shows as connected to Wi-Fi, and the app sets it up, but yet it complains that it can't talk to the robot. On the bright side, I got them both working once when I was running that unsecured Wi-Fi network I talked about earlier. But they still both show as connected to my secured Wi-Fi...so yay? I haven't tried the Alexa skill yet, or the Google one. I kind of can't due to the issues just with connectivity.
No Alarm/Sound for Being Stuck or Hindered
It also seems to not beep when it gets stuck somewhere. It has a little ear piercing beeper, and well when it got stuck it just turned off and the error light illuminated. Might be an oversight on Hoover's end there - no reason not to have it beep at you so you can free it and let the Rogue get on with its mission. It also hates cords, a bit more so than some other robot vacuums I've owned.
-=++|Things I Love|++=-
Packaging and First Impressions
The design language and overall feel of the product really seems like they put some effort into delivering a competitor that is different and fun! I actually enjoyed unboxing it and reading the manual. The box is coated in a nice finish and the instructions are delivered in a black "top secret mission" type of envelope. I like this design direction as it implies fun. Their YouTube marketing videos also really sell that.
Design
The vacuum itself is designed very well and feels extremely solid. The bumpers, brushes, and overall construction scream that they did put some thought into this thing lasting. The dirt bin is the neatest little feature I think - you flip up the top lid of the vacuum and you press a button and it pops out. Then you empty it, and you gently push it back into place until it clicks. That's really clever and feels cool just to do. It has four lighted icons on the top that indicate Wi-Fi connectivity, battery status, dirt bin, and any errors. The way they cover them with the top lid is actually pretty cool and makes the lights seem more luxurious. That's a weird word to use with a vacuum, but it's really how it feels.
Technology and Mapping
When you first fire it up, it does some "recon" of your house. That means it seems to wander aimlessly bumping into stuff like a curious dog or cat. I kind of watched the method to the madness, and it's actually really neat and works quite well.
Power and Performance
This thing can move! Wow is it fast. When it wants to go somewhere it hauls. That's awesome and makes me think that coupled with the Lithium-Ion batteries it can really get a bunch of cleaning done quickly. It's relatively quiet and has strong suction. You can also choose from 3 different modes in the app...if you get it working. Quiet, Standard, and Beast. No joke, it has a beast mode and that's just awesome. You only tend to hear the noise of the vacuum motor and not the actual wheels - it's very quiet and fluid when it moves around compared to other robot vacuums I have used… almost like it's hovering just slightly above the ground. The battery lasts around 2 hours on Quiet Mode and 45mins on Beast Mode.
-=|The Verdict|=-
So...with all the negatives why am I keeping it? For those who are interested in this vacuum… it's neat and stylish. It's fully loaded with technology. The marketing is cute. However, they've launched a product with incomplete and unreliable features...but I still like it enough to not give up just yet. Smart apps can be improved over time, firmware can be updated, and first releases are usually pretty buggy. However, this has become the norm in today's technologically focused society - ship it now and we'll patch it later. This is definitely the case here. BUT...this is a fine piece of hardware with (what I feel) is a bright future ahead of it. If Hoover can get some of the oddities with Wi-Fi sorted out and really bring their A game to the app table they'll have a winner. For a device so heavily focused on the tech bit, however, this is a disappointing start, but I believe this will become a great product with a few more months of tweaking. Most people would return something that was this buggy or unfinished out of the box, but I won't be one of them for now. I'm willing to stick it out and see what happens. You can see everything in the instruction manual at http://tti.a.bigcontent.io/v1/static/Rogue_900_Manual
For Android users, this is a total WAIT A BIT. There is no Hoover Home App in the Play Store at the time of writing this on 11/5/2017. You cannot even link it to a wireless network without the Apple App. Luckily, I had an old iPad laying around collecting dirt to do this setup with. I am extremely disappointed in the release of this unfinished product with so much potential.
For Apple users, this is a BUY. It's a great vacuum for the price. It's loaded technology and has tons of value. I believe the bugs will be worked out with this so GIVE IT A CHANCE!

Best Value and Performance in Price Range
on October 26, 2017
Posted by: nkpstudios

These headphones are one of my favorite gadgets I own. They are so well built and are fully sound cancelling. I had the MDR1000x MK1 before this and decided to upgrade for the better battery life, touch controls, and app support. I’m going to list the pros and cons I’ve encountered so far and give some recommendations.
-+Pros+-
1) Noise Cancellation/Isolation- The MDR1000x MK1 were great and these are built as an upgrade from them. When I close my eyes I feel I’m in a totally different world silencing the noise around me.
2) Touch Controls- this is such a cool feature. I’m an early tech adopter and have been loving it. Sometimes it doesn’t register my hand gestures but I mean it’s not the end of the world. Always registers the second time. The palm over the right cup to hear ambient noise is my favorite feature. No one on the other end knows what’s going on so you can hear what others are saying without them thinking you can hear them :). Super cool nonetheless!
3) Battery Life- Sony advertises 30-40 hours. I can say this is pretty accurate. I go on walks and listen to music while studying overall and super happy about it!
4) App- the app is easy to use and allows to pick between different sound modes and effects. One con is when using Tidal the Music Center only functions with Apple Music (I just use iOS and Tidal) It integrates well with Spotify and Pandora though.
5) Wireless Freedom and Versatility- these headphones work great wirelessly and last long. You also get the option of going wired for better sound quality or if the battery dies (has yet to happen to me). The downside when using in wired mode is you lose touch controls and other things.
6) Adaptive Engine- These headphones adjust to you and what you are doing. Noise cancelling will automatically allow ambiance in when you are walking and running, but when on a train, bus, or car it will kill all sound around you.
-=Cons=-
1) Potential for cracking- I had the MDR 1000x MK1 for months and did not face the crack issues other have. But in my opinion, cracks are a trade off for what you get. These are built of a different plastic/urethane so only time will tell if Sony corrected this issue.
2) Touch controls- these take some getting used to. They also sometimes do not register on the first try. They are sensitive but I am sure I will master them.
3) No USB-C Support- In 2017 I would have expected USB C connectors. For this price it would have been nice to see since no other headphones have this.
-=||The Verdict||=-
If you are looking at these headphones, budget isn't an issue for you. I would recommend these over others solely on the noise cancelling performance and sound. If you add in all the another features these are the best hands down for the price. I’d recommend these to anyone who is looking to get a good quality headphone that is versatile with great sound cancelling and new technology. These are and will be for some time my daily driver for headphones.

It's KEVO for your garage door! Perfect addition!
on October 20, 2017
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
First, I must get my disclaimer out of the way. This is a setup with a Chamberlain garage opener so I cannot speak on compatibility/ease of use with other brands. I just happen to own one so I just want to get that out of the way.
This completes my remote home entry challenges. This product is much like a Kevo wireless door opener. Setup took me about 45 minutes because I spent most of my time looking for tools and mounting on the ceiling. The hardest part (not hard at all but you get my point) is screwing it into the ceiling. You need a tall enough ladder to reach. Otherwise, this was a piece of cake. If you can tap your phone and use a screw driver, this is for you.
Requirements:
Need garage door opener manufactured 1993 or later
Strong WiFi
Screwdriver or drill
Things I love:
Ability to remote open and close while I am away or returning as long as you have internet connection to the hub.
Alerts about your garage opening or closing. This gives you a record of activity if you need it.
Check status of door (open or close) whenever you want. No more wondering if you left your garage door open at bedtime.
Builtin Nest, Xfinity, and Blink support. This allows you to tie into existing ecosystems you may have.
Things I wish I could change:
Annoying safety beep and a delay to close. Opening is pretty fast though.
Does not say their is internet connectivity issues. It will keep trying to open it but not report connectivity issues to you in the app.
No IFTT support yet but maybe that is in the works.
In all this is perfect for people with garages and there is no reason you should not have it. I use it in conjunction with my Ring Video Doorbell to talk to postal workers and delivery people. I can tell them to drop the package in the garage and close it when they leave. My kids can go through the garage without a key which eliminates remembering codes and I can find out when they got home. The negatives could very well be under development, but not many people will care.
Verdict
It's simple. If you have a garage... buy one. If you don't, don't :)

Meet your last shaver you will buy!
on October 17, 2017
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
This is the last shaver a man will ever need to own. With its ergonomic design and solid build quality, it should last forever. Battery life is advertised a little over 90mins, but I saw a little more like 81mins. This could be because I use it to shave my head which is thicker hair. It shaves close and doesn't fail on places like the neck line, chin, and mustache either. Everyone should know there is no irritation if you have sensitive skin. It is wet/dry operable so this makes it extremely useful and makes clean up fast and easy. I found the easiest way to clean it is to push on the bottom of the blade and let it go so it flicks the hairs off under running water. When shaving my head, this thing and it doesn't hesitate. Always remember to cut against the grain if you want it to work best! The beard trimmer comb works well also. It makes me worry if it were to fall since it is made out of plastic.
The blades have a recommended use of 2 months which will save you money. Replacements are fairly priced for how well they work and long they last. It comes with a handy bag to put the charger and beard trimming comb so you don't lose anything. I can't say how much I love this new trimmer/shaver! This makes a great Father's Day, Christmas, or Birthday gift. **hint hint ladies and gentlemen** Look no further for a gift for your loved one.

HANDHELD POWERHOUSE! 300W of POWER!
on October 16, 2017
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
This one is pretty straight forward. It's a great hand blender that packs power. It is solidly built and matches most finishes in your kitchen. Whether you have black appliances or stainless steel, this will fit right in. It is a little tall so you will need to separate it to store it. It comes with a measuring cup that doubles as a mixing bowl. The one test I measure all hand blenders by is the pancake mix test. This thing passed with flying colors. More than enough power to mix thick pancake batter. If you're in the market for a hand blender, this one is for you!

Beautiful Powerhouse 2-in-1 PC
on October 12, 2017
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
-=|First Impressions|=-
|Thoughts|
Nice! When I opened the box and took out the laptop from the sleeve, I was excited. It felt like Apple quality. Beautiful finish, solid aluminum body, not overly heavy just coming in around 3 lbs. This could replace my tablet and laptop. Thin laptop with 8GB of RAM and 1.8GHz processor. Snappy and fast to setup. I think I was done with setup in less than 20 minutes including plugging it in and setting up Windows. The pen is a nice addition, although it feels really light and cheap. Charger is USB C/Thunderbolt 3 off a normal laptop charge block.
|Packaging|
Well presented. It felt like I was opening a tablet or cell phone the way it was presented. Presentation was excellent. If you experienced the Yoga 910 presentation, this is the exact same packaging.
-=|Design and Build|=-
|Specs|
1080P Screen Resolution (4K option available)
8GB SODIMM DDR4 RAM @2400MHz (Up to 16GB option available)
256GB SSD (Up to 1TB option available)
i7 8550U Quad Core Base Clock 1.8GHz Turbo Boost to 3.4GHz
Intel UHD 620 Graphics 1GB
2 Thunderbolt 3 ports (USB-C connector)
1 USB 3.0 port
Front Camera 720p
-=|Love|=-
+Fingerprint Sensor - This works with Windows Hello and makes unlocking your computer in a snap.
+Design and Build Quality - This laptop oozes elegant design choices. From the aluminum body to the watch hinges, you will surely turn heads with this one.
+Pen and Touch Screen - I really appreciate the touch screen and note taking ability with this computer. It truly can replace your tablet and current laptop.
+Snappy Performance and Boot Up - If you never experienced SSD, you will be in for a treat. This is really fast and you will be spoiled.
+Quiet and Fan Relocated - Quieter than Yoga910 and the fan blows out the hinge rather on your lap. Runs cool also.
+Battery Life - I got about 15 hours of battery life. They advertise
+Sound - For a laptop, these JBL speakers sound beautiful. They are bottom firing so they bounce making the sound feel full and powerful. At the end of the day they are laptop speakers, the real magic happens when you use headphones. This has Dolby Atmos sound.
-=|Not So Much|=-
-Keyboard - This is just a personal preference, but I don't like the key shape and spacing between them.
-Active Pen 2 - Instructions were difficult to understand. Nothing on their support website outlining set up for the pen with regards to batteries. There are no clear markings or tutorials on how to put batteries. It feels cheap but works well otherwise. Once you figure out the battery situation, it is instantly paired so that was the easiest part.
-Lacks volume buttons - Since this is a 2 in 1, it is trying to replace a tablet or feel like one. When in tablet mode, I find myself looking for volume rockers but there are none. You either have to fold the keyboard into laptop mode and use keyboard for volume, or you can tap the volume icon in the notification area to adjust volume. Not efficient to me.
-Bloatware - This is typical of laptops. There are a plethora of things loaded which unnecessarily take up SSD space which is limited to 256GB with only like 221GB usable. There is McAfee preloaded which bogs down the performance of the PC and other Lenovo software.
-Camera - Camera is 720p. Poor quality in low light. Very disappointing since most cell phones offer better cameras.
-=Verdict=-
Overall, this is a great laptop that doubles as a tablet. If you are in the market for a beautiful, lightweight, portable powerhouse, this is for you. It is a bit pricey but goes head to head with others in the space while offering more function and more aesthetics for the price. Top shelf quality with powerful performance. This is NOT a gaming laptop so don't even try. This can do Photoshop well but 4k video editing is a struggle. Content creators look elsewhere since this is lacking in the graphics department.

Bose does it right. TRUE wireless!

-=First Impressions=-
One word. Wow! Now this is quality. These feel like two little tanks. They have enough weight to feel solid without feeling awkward and cumbersome in your ear. The charging case in very nice. It's a magnetic charging cradle which securely aligns the charge pins on each bud. The case has a battery indicator on it to let you know the amount of reserve left in the case. Put them in your ear, and you will get that comfortable fit Bose is known for in all its other in ear headphones. Sound isolation is very good so you will have to be careful if you are a runner who likes to blast your music. They get loud but not overpowering where distortion comes into play. Sound is amazing from low volume to high. Well balanced sound with deep bass full mids and crisps highs at all volumes. Pairing is simple and they have auto shutoff to avoid dead batteries after a workout. Finish is elegant with a gloss black to match my Note 8. Buttons are a little stiff, but maybe those will "break-in" after a little while. Can answer calls and use virtual assistant with these headphones also.
Things I like:
+Total Wireless Solution - No wire bouncing on your neck or sticking to you when you work out. No more accidental tugging to annoy you when you are running.
+Built Quality/IPX4 - splash proof and sweat proof. High quality build!
+Quick Charge - a quick 15-minute charge provides up to 45 minutes of play time. On your drive to the gym, you can get enough charge to make it through a short workout if they are dead.
+Case - has battery reserve of 2 charges. That means 10 hours in the case and 5hrs on the headphones.
+Fit - the fit was perfect and not one single movement during my run or workout. I ran about 5 miles and then did my weight routine. Not a single wiggle. Great job Bose!
+Sound - full and rich sound from low bass through to crisp highs. No distortion and great sound isolation.
+Look - looks nice, high class glossy finish.
+Battery Life - I can get probably a week's worth without having to recharge the case. Easily makes it through a few gym sessions.
Things I would change:
-Width of headphones - They stick out a bit much, maybe this will be corrected in the future releases. Nothing more than aesthetics. Nothing to do with function.
-Button placement - Once I learn where the buttons are, this will work itself out, but they are really stiff and require a lot of pressure.
-Charging options - These only charge in the cradle. If anything happens to them, you will probably have to shell out more cash as they require a proprietary pin charger.
-No EQ controls in Bose Connect App - Functionality in the app is very basic. Auto-off timer, pairing, and renaming is basically all. There is also a find my buds let's you know where you last left your headphones. They are tracked separately.
-=The Verdict=-
It's simple… Buy if you are an active person or just want Bose sound in a comfortable well-built headphone set. No cord to annoy you and this is made to turn heads.

Creative Pro's Dream Keyboard MUST BUY!
on September 21, 2017

First Impressions
MAN this is a heavy box. The keyboard came presented in a nice box. When you open it you know you have quality. It is beautifully colored to match the MX Master S2 mouse. They go perfect together. It just looks beautiful. The keys feel like a laptop keyboard more than a standard keyboard. If you have used their Solar Keyboard, it feels a lot like that. The more I use it, the more I like it. I just need time to adjust to the keyboard layout. I will break down what I like and don't for those who like bulleted lists, you will be happy.
++Pros++
+Build Quality - This is built like a tank! There is hardly any flex in the keyboard. For something this thin, its amazing. It has aluminum at the top to provide an elegant luxurious feel. I only worry about when things get under the keys since they are really close and low to the board itself.
+Backlit Keys - I love backlit keys. This is also a draw on battery power so also a draw. Currently there is no way to turn this feature off.
+Dial - I love the dial. It is almost like having a Surface Dial built in. It switched automatically from clicky wheel to a smooth jog wheel depending on the open application.
+Customizability - You can program things the way you like them. You can assign function keys to your liking. I hope more customizability is unlocked with future updates. You can change brightness on the backlighting, control volume, and there is a plethora of already set keys for everyday functions.
+Software and Pairing - This works well with your Logitech ecosystem. If you are already a Logitech wireless setup, setup is a breeze.
+Connectivity (Bluetooth or RF) - You can use this as a Bluetooth keyboard or use the USB dongle provided by Logitech.
+Quick Setup - I had this thing up and running in less than 30 seconds since I already had the software loaded from my previous Logitech Options software setup.
+Mac/Win Labels - The keyboard is labeled with both OS so Mac and Windows users can use this easily. Some users will find this confusing though.
+Future proof - This keyboard offers USB C charging which is great since our cell phones have started moving towards this. The cord provided feels of top shelf quality. I wish it would have come in a braided material though.
--Cons--
-Keys - I am coming from a mechanical gaming keyboard so it will take me some time to adjust. It feels nice to type with, but keys are very low profile. They feel like a stiff mushy key switch. It uses a scissor style key that feel nice to the touch and require little effort to engage.
-Backlight- There is no option to turn this off. A schedule option would be nice.
-Battery Life - It is rated to last a week. For $200 you would expect better battery life. In my opinion, one week isn't very good to me for a wireless keyboard. Monthly is something I would like to see between charge times.
-Lack of Tilt - There are no feet to adjust the angle of this keyboard. If you find it too low to your desk or like a keyboard raised, this may not be for you.
-Lack of Wrist Rest - There is no wrist rest or place to "get comfortable". For something geared towards creatives who spend a lot of time at the keyboard, this would have been a nice plus.
-Application Profiles - There is a lack of functionality for Premiere Pro, for example. Some applications in the Adobe suite are currently not available. This could be coming in future updates though.
-Key Spacing - This is just preference, but to me these keys are really close. I find myself hitting two keys at times. If you have "fat fingers" it will take time to adjust or maybe you will not like it at all.
-Dial is Extra Sensitive - I find myself activating the multiple options switch when just trying to turn the wheel. Again just probably need time to adjust.
-Price - This keyboard is definitely priced a little high for the combination of battery life and functionality. I would have liked to see the ability to customize every single key and maybe a row of macro keys.
-=Verdict=-
This is a go for sure. Since this the first release of a keyboard like this, Logitech is in a way pioneering so you will have early adopter growing pains. There aren't any glitches in the software, it is just basic right now. If you have the budget and want to build the ultimate setup for your workflow, get this and the Logitech MX Master S2 mouse. The software is in its infancy so I am sure functionality will be improved, but overall this is a VERY nice keyboard with lots of potential. It is a niche keyboard so this eliminates a lot of the customers out there who are not productivity buffs.
BUY!

Great Cordless and Passable Full Size Vacuum
on September 20, 2017
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
This vacuum is everything I always wanted in a cordless vacuum. We all know Shark products are very innovative and I am so glad this product finally came to market. It addresses many of the issues/inconveniences you find with competitors out there. Below is a quick breakdown on my experience with the DuoClean IF251.
Overview
This vacuum is solid, but like all handhelds must be lightweight so it is mostly plastic construction. The batteries are build solid too, also encased in plastic. The vacuum will last of you don't abuse it like everything in life. This is a versatile vac with features you won't find anywhere else on the market. Currently at the time of writing this review (9/20/2017), no other cordless vacuum in this tier offers swappable batteries that I know of. No other company offers a wand that flexes for under couches and other hard to reach areas. The "DuoClean" vacuum floor attachment works wonders. It has two vacuum heads for different surfaces offering "multifloor" versatility.
Pros
+Multiple/Swappable Batteries - This is easily my favorite feature and make it worth buying this vacuum vs others on the market. The batteries charge in close to 3.5 hours maybe 4 hours. There is always another one fully charged to keep you going. The batteries also have lights that tell you how much charge is in the pack. Pretty cool.
+Multi-Flex - This is great and a back saver. This feature allows you to "bend" the long wand in half to get under couches and tables without having to bend over. It also makes storing the vacuum easier in the upright position.
+Accessories - Accessories, accessories, and more accessories. This package comes with all the attachments you will ever need. There is something for everyone. There is a dusting attachment, power upholstery head, crevice tool, and brush tool to name a few.
+Charging Options - This vacuum has two ways to charge. You can charge the battery pack in a "dock" fashion or you can plug directly into the handle.
+ Duo Clean - Two brush heads with different purposes work together to clean. There is a soft bristle brush more for hardwood and flat floors and the standard carpet brush for shag and other styles of carpet. Awesome cleaning action.
+ LED "Headlights" - This is another feature I don't see other companies incorporating in their vacuums. It is like having headlights on your vacuum to see if you got up all the dirt in low light situations.
+LED indicator lights - There are indicator lights on the battery packs so you never have to wonder how much battery is left. This is not found on any other vacuum that I know of. There are also
+Quick Setup - Literally you are ready to go in three clicks including loading in the battery. Best experience in setting up.
+Lightweight - It is a little heavier than the other competitors, but to put it plainly, my 3yr old is vacuuming the floors in the house.
+Power - This vacuum holds its own in the cordless suction domain. No complaints at all, it packs as much power if not more than what is on the market right now.
+Low Maintenance - You really only need to charge batteries, empty the canister, and occasionally clear the brush heads to keep this running. The main thing to do is to keep the filters clean if you want to maintain powerful suction.
+Smart Response Technology - You can vary brush speed and suction with carpet mode and hard floor mode.
+Versatility - This thing could replace an upright, duster, and any other cordless vac you currently own. It works on floors and carpets easily adapting for either.
-Cons-
-Lack of Accessory Pouch/Bag - No where to put all the accessories provided.
-Weight - A little heavier than other competitors, but that is probably because of the battery.
-Duo Clean Floor nozzle - The width is is a little smaller than a standard upright, but you can get used to it. Not a deal breaker, bout a nice to have. Coverage size requires you to clean more which results in battery usage.
-Standard battery life - These usage times are pretty much standard right now in the industry. Having another battery makes this an instant workhorse. You can purchase more batteries if you find yourself running out after two charges.
Estimated Times:
Hand vacuum only in "Max Power" mode: approximately 11 minutes
Hand vacuum only in "Extend Runtime" mode: approx. 23 minutes
Floor mode in "Max Power": approx. 12 minutes
Floor mode in "Extend Runtime": approx. 20 minutes
Carpet mode in "Max Power": approx. 11 minutes
Carpet mode in "Extend Runtime": approx. 14 minutes
-Charge time - It takes almost 4 hours to charge a battery that only lasts 15mins-30mins. It would be nice to get "fast charging" technology from cell phones since they are both Li batteries.
-Feels "Self-Propelled" at times - On carpet this things pulls you around. I like it, but some may get tired of fighting this monster vac.
-=Verdict=-
BUY! If you are looking for a cordless vacuum with power and function, this is for you. It is in the same price range as the competition, but the thing is you get LEDs, swappable batteries, multiple batteries, and ergonomics unique to the industry. Get this rather than other vacuums of the top brand we all know. You will not be sorry.

will this drive work on usb 2.0?

does this drive, only work with a usb 3.0 pc input?
It will work with both. USB 3.0 is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 ports. I believe the only difference will be the drive performance. Read/Write speeds may be effected since there is a difference between USB 2.0/3.0 bus speeds..

What type of features does the app have? Can you control devices in the way that EERO and Luma are marketing? I've had Netgear routers for years. But need a mesh system . Currently, the UI for these routers are very limited.

The app needs a refresh but it is the Netgear Genie app. You can do a search online for the interface.

What is the user interface / app like? Does it have the ability to control the setup and individual device control like the EERO and LUMA have? I currently have a R8000 and it won't cover the home and the interface does not provide much control over wor

I can't speak on EERO or LUMA as I have never used them. If you are a R8000 user then you know the interface is fairly simple and nothing flashy. You will be used to the interface. The Orbi logo replaces the Netgear Genie Logo. The mobile app is Netgear Genie so you probably know how to use that as well. I would say Netgear needs to do an app refresh, but it is functional. I have used almost all of the Nighthawk line and I can honestly say the Orbi system is the BEST Netgear product offering coverage/performance utilizing a mesh network. If you need better coverage then get an Orbi system as it will provide double the coverage and seamless WiFi roaming without sacrificing performance. These are the 2 major reasons to upgrade over your R8000. Performance is similar for both.

Power your Apple devices with this Belkin charge dock. It comes with a Lightning connector that charges iPhones and an integrated magnetic charger that provides Apple watches with more juice when needed. The single built-in cable of this Belkin charge dock lets you charge both devices simultaneously, saving you the inconvenience of using multiple cords.

Want to know if watch same as phone text or voice ??

I am unsure of your question because of the wording, but I will try to answer what I think you mean. If you are asking can you type a text on the Watch like on a phone, currently the answer is no. When watchOS3 is released it will do that but currently you can only select preloaded text responses or use voice to text. One good thing is the watch is smart enough to offer responses to questions as preloaded texts as well. For example if someone texts you:

What time do you want to meet? 3pm or 4pm?

The watch will have those two times as replies in addition to the preloaded/saved texts from your iPhone.

I hope this helps. With the WatchOS3 release looming it will be a great watch. Right now, it is a bit slow and clunky and you can tell it is Apple's first attempt at a smart watch.
