Above Average Entry Level Shaver
on April 9, 2018
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
I wish there was something exciting here, but it is an electric shaver. There are no bells and whistles and there isn't much to deep dive into here. It is the most basic 3 head shaver. They are single blades so it takes a little more time to get a good shave. I have used others with 3 blades in each head and they cut so much faster. There isn't anything fancy here at all. It lacks the ability to shave while plugged in, so this is a MAJOR negative. If you run out of battery you will look stupid with a bad shave.
Pros
+Wet/Dry Shaves
+ Long Battery Life
+Ergonomic Design
+Trimmer for Edging
Cons
-Basic Blades - Single blade x 3 heads
-Replacement Cost - The replacement cost almost half the price of the shaver.
-Lack of Corded Mode - When charging this, it will not work. If you run out of battery, you are out of luck since you cannot shave with it plugged in.
-=||The Verdict||=-
If you are in the market for an electric shaver, put the money you would spend towards this one and get a higher end model. There is an 8 series Norelco has that offers a much better shave.

Fun gimmicky speaker with lots of bass
on March 26, 2018
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
-=+First Impressions+=-
It looks visually appealing. This feels solidly built. It looks nice and offers deep bass if you are into that. I love the lights and ability to customize it to my liking. It is waterproof so I can take it to the pool or a BBQ and not have to worry about it. If offers a corny sound effect system (Party Booster Mode) in which you can add sounds to what you are listening to… just not for me but I won't dock it for trying something new. I had some trouble pairing the speaker through the app. For some reason it would say the speaker wasn't paired when it was and I had to disconnected it a few times to get the app to work. Use it like a regular speaker without the Sony Music Center app and it works just fine.
Build 5/5
Built like an amphibious tank but not as ugly. I do not worry about this thing breaking and it offers waterproofing for added protection.
Sound 4/5
It is the typical Sony sound profile. It sounds bassy and does not accurately represent highs and mids well once you go past 60% volume.
Features 5/5
=NFC Pairing - simple one tough pairing.
=Battery Life - roughly 24 hours to keep you going.
=Lighting Effects - with speaker lights, line lights, and strobes you will have enough to keep you entertained. This ups the cool factor on this. Good gimmick to get the younger crowd in.
=Built SOLID - Waterproof (IP67), dustproof, shockproof (MIL-STD 810 F Method 516.5) and rustproof. Need I say more?
=Wireless Daisy Chaining - when you get this to work it is great. I struggled to get the app to establish a reliable connection and it force closed a lot. Maybe an update will fix this.
=Grippy - the finish is conducive to a safer hold.
=Connectivity Options - Stereo Mini Jack (IN), USB A Terminal (DC OUT only), micro USB (DC IN), DC IN
Pros
+Lighting Effects - strobe effects, mood lighting, and customizability are good.
+Battery Life - rated at 24 hours, I never had to charge it the same day during use.
+Grippy - even though it is big, I never felt I would drop it because of the finish and "squishy" build
+Connectivity Options - Offers headphone jack along with bluetooth
+Tank Build - Waterproof (IP67), dustproof, shockproof (MIL-STD 810 F Method 516.5) and rustproof. Need I say more? LOL
Cons
-App - the app is TERRIBLE! It often crashes when you try to group speakers. I tried grouping the XB41 and XB21 and it force closed every time. You need a few things to change sounds and colors to your liking too.
-DJ Fiestable App - interface is poor but once you figure it out it works.
-Sound - I was underwhelmed by the sound. It is bass heavy but quickly distorts with volume. Sound is not accurately represented but this is more of a fun speaker than an audiophile's dream.
-Old Style Charging - You need to charge using a charge block rather than micro USB like other speakers. If you lose this, you will not be able to charge your speaker without buying another charger.
The Verdict
I cannot 100% say this is for everyone. If you are a Sony Fan and already have other Sony speakers you will probably like this. It has plenty of things to keep you busy and it is fun for a party for sure. At this price point, for sound quality alone, I would say there are better options out there.

Best Entry Level Noise Cancelling Headphones!
on March 26, 2018
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
-=First Impressions=-
They are well packed in typical Sony style. Well presented with everything you need to enjoy music. Quickly paired using NFC and I put them on. They are light but yet feel solidly built. Noise cancelling is above average, they are nowhere near the top tier NC headphones available but they work GREAT.

+Pros+
+aptX - Hard to find in wireless headphones these days, but these have them.
+Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE)-Restores detail to your digital music.
+Battery Life - Offers up to 35 hours of use and lasts up to 200 hours on standby mode.
+Artificial Intelligence Noise Cancelation (AINC)-Analyzes background sound and adjusts it for optimal performance on airplanes and other noisy environments, so you can enjoy a focused, immersive sound environment.
+Fit-Over ear design is comfortable on the head and ears. Lightweight and doesn't have wear fatigue. Rotating ear cups are a plus. VERY comfortable over ear fit.
+NFC Pairing - Too bad Apple users, you will never know what this feels like just tapping the headphones and clicking ok to pair.
+Sound Quality - These sound great. They offer clear sound and cover the whole spectrum extremely well.
+Wired Option - You can plug in to a headphone jack (sorry iPhone users LOL) for better sound and longer battery life.
-Cons-
-Bluetooth 4.1 interface - we are in 2018, we should all be getting Bluetooth 5.0 now.
-No USB C - I would expect we are to see USC C in 2018. For some reason these, like many still use Micro USB.
-No Case - Nothing to protect your investment, not even a little bag to put them in.
-=THE VERDICT=-
BUY! If you want lightweight budget Noise Canceling headphones these are for you. Noise cancelling is good, not great, but it does a nice job. Sound quality is there as usual and for the price, I think you will be hard pressed to find a better option. I just wish they came with some sort of way to store them in a bag or case for the price.

Not wowed... high expectation but perform well.
on February 28, 2018

-=First Impressions=-
These feel well packed and fairly well built. For what they are charging I would expect better build quality but it is still nice. It is fairly easy to setup and the hardest part will be trying to setup digital out from your TV if you are using a surround system. I have a Samsung TV from 2017 and it didn't seem to figure out I just wanted constant audio out in ADDITION to HDMI ARC support. This has nothing to do with Sennheiser but worth mentioning. They cover and fit my ears perfectly and are lightweight. I went on a binge watch for like 6 hours on Netflix and didn't remember I had these on. They don't do ANY noise isolation but that is to be expected since they are open back headphones. You will still hear your surroundings if that matters to you. Good sound, I expected way better but it is still good. Setup was a breeze. Connection dropped in and out quite frequently but range was great. I think this has to do with all the wireless interference I have in my home. There are around 29 wireless devices and 3 wireless routers/Aps so I didn't expect perfection.
Things I like:
+Mobility - Not restricted to a cord and can move freely.
+Wireless Range - I live in a three story home and had coverage on all three floors. The base was in the basement to test the range. Advertised a little over 300ft. I would say it is pretty accurate.
+Rechargeable/Battery Life - It is always charged when you use them. Just make sure you hang them up after each use. I made it to 6 hrs of use and have no issues believing the advertised 18hr battery life. I can't watch TV that long so I can't confirm that.
+Sound Quality - Sound is reproduced almost exactly like the source's quality. Rich sound from low bass through to crisp highs.
+Fit - Fit was perfect and balanced. Batteries are located one in each ear cup which makes weiand not one single movement during my run or workout. I ran about 5 miles and then did my weight routine. Not a single wiggle. Great job Bose!
+Setup - Quick and easy. Plug in your source and power them on… everything works!
Things I would change:
-Open Back - Just preference, but I don't like hearing my surrounding, but they do sound good because they are open.
-Lack of controls - There isn't anything but volume buttons and balance. No EQ or amplification options.
-Volume - For me these are low but sound good. I like them louder but it doesn't take away from anything.
-=The Verdict=-
If these go on sale and you need wireless sound for digital or audio inputs get them. There are other options out there. I had high expectations for the brand and price but I can honestly say I was underwhelmed. Buy on sale not full price. Check out the lower model in the lineup too.

Enjoy superior sound and voice quality with these Jabra Elite wireless headphones. Integrated controls let you answer calls, adjust the volume or pause music with the touch of a button, while the included carrying case doubles as a charging station. External ambient noise keeps you aware of your surroundings, while a background noise filter delivers crisp, clear voice calls. With Bluetooth connectivity, these Jabra Elite wireless headphones are easy to pair to a mobile device.

Go Get These!!!! Business People and Casual Users
on February 13, 2018
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
-=First Impressions=-
Typical Jabra presentation with secure and simple packaging. My first thoughts were "these look so business/corporate, they could replace my Plantronics Voyager Edge". Fitting took some getting used to, but once I found the right tips they did not fall out or move at all. Initially, you may feel discomfort while trying to find YOUR proper ear tips, but that goes away fairly quickly. These are pure quality and built to last! The Elite 65t buds are a little bigger than a nickel. The case is pocket sized and fits nicely in the palm your hand although it takes some practice for one handed operation. I wish there was a way to get more accurate battery representation for the case in app or a light bar/indicator. Sound isolation is very good and I think these are the most well balanced for music and voice calls. The best part is you will NOT look like Frankenstein with these in your ears! I love the low profile build of these.
Things I like:
+Bluetooth 5.0 - these are the ONLY ones on the market with Bluetooth 5.0 as of this review 2/13/2018.
+Total Wireless Solution - no wires bouncing on your neck or sticking to you when you work out. No more accidental tugging to annoy you when you are running. Lightweight and can go hours without noticing them.
+Built Quality/IP55 - splash proof and dust proof. Offers 2yr warranty on IP55 protection! Built like tanks!
+Fit - the fit was perfect and not one single movement during my run or workout. I ran about 5 miles and then did my weight routine. Not a single wiggle. Great job Jabra!
+Quick Charge - a quick 15-minute charge provides up to 90 minutes of play time!
+Case - has battery reserve of 2 charges. That means 10 hours in the case and 5hrs on the headphones for 15hrs total.
+Battery Life - I can probably get a week's worth of use before needing to recharge the case. Easily makes it through a few gym sessions.
+Sound & EQ - nice balanced sound. Not too bass heavy and not sharp in highs. I would say it is a sound profile similar to Jaybirds. These have great sound isolation though. EQ available through app.
+Mono/Stereo - these can be used in stereo or mono. Use only the right side if you want to have a single Bluetooth experience
+Call Quality - in stereo these are amazing. Callers cannot tell if I am using a Bluetooth or not.
+Pass Through Sound - these use the on-board mics to allow sound in so you can hear around you while listening to music.
+Sound Synced - there is no latency between video playback and audio in my ears. It is perfect and not a complaint in this department.
+Look - looks nice, business/executive styling. Very subtle and no not attract much attention.
Things I would change:
-No aptX - no support for aptX or aptXhd. Sound quality is good, but this should be standard for all wireless headphones with BT5.0
-Button Placement - after some practice, I have figured out where things are. The left ear controls are difficult to find and press.
-Buttons - the left side buttons are very stiff and require a LOT of pressure to activate. This make the earbud uncomfortable since you press into your ear to activate.
-Charging - you're only able to charge in the cradle. If anything happens to it, you will probably have to shell out more cash as they require a proprietary pin charger.
-No Tracking - there should be some sort of way to blast sound to these in case you lose them. An alert with last known location should be an option when out of range.
-No USB C - it's unbelievable we are still using micro USB in 2018. I worry I may break the connector since everything I own now has USB C.
-App - the app is excellent with regards to features but these do not get stored once you put them away.
-Lost Settings - I would incorporate some way of storing last used settings to the ear buds so you don't need to use the app to reactivate them each time.
-Range - these are advertised as BT5.0. That means you should get around 120ft range with them if you have a phone that also supports BT5.0. Not the case here. I seriously doubt these are actually BT5.0 being that the range is around 30ft like BT4.0.
-Case - I would like to see a light bar or indicator LCD that shows battery level. One light isn't good enough for me. Also, it is tough to use with one hand. It takes practice but can be done. Maybe wireless charging in the case would be nice as well.
-Voice Commands - there is a terrible delay in the time you say "answer" and the time the call is answered using voice commands
-=The Verdict=-
These are a great release from Jabra. Audiophiles, these are not for you since you know only a wired listening device produces the best sound. If you want new Bluetooth headset, these are a buy. They offer versatility without sacrificing call quality and music quality. These are built to last.

Should be in EVERYONE'S kitchen!
on December 20, 2017
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
I must say this has virtually replaced my main oven. It is beautiful and well-constructed. It blends right in to modern kitchens with its immaculate stainless steel and sleek design. I couldn't complain too much with this. I look for things to pick apart a product when I review them. The list of wonderful things HEAVILY outweighs my minimal gripes since I can't have only positive things to say for a product.
Things to Improve...
=PreHeat Glitch - while it's doing so, it flashes "PrE HEaT" in the area above the oven icon that displays the time. While it's heating, I set all the dials for temp, type of cook, and timer. When it's finished preheating, the timer defaults back to 1 hour resulting in me setting the timer again! This is annoying and dangerous if you aren't paying attention! This can all be avoided by setting all the dials before pressing Start so you don't have to reset the timer after preheating.
=Dials - The dials do not coincide with the tactile response you would expect. Instead of one click making a change to the indicator, it takes a few "clicks" to move an indicator. It reminds me of an old stereo you have to fully turn to get it to move the volume up one. Not a huge deal, but it will take some getting used to.
=Temperature Setting - The temperature setting increases in increments of 10 except for certain common temps like 375 and 425. I would have liked increments of 5 instead of 10 throughout.
Things I love!
+Easy Cleanup - everything provided as far as trays and pans are non-stick coated. It feels high quality and thick.
+Multi Levels - there are 4 positions you can place your rack to ensure proper cooking.
+Internal Light - lets you see what is going on through a big glass door.
+Cook Times - it cooks faster and more evenly than our previous Cuisinart. You will need to adjust your cook times once you get a feel.
+Performance - it performs much like a regular oven and thus it has become our main oven.
+Preheats Quickly - the convection setting is the best and preheats in a snap.
+Accessories - comes with a high quality pizza pan and cooking tray.
+Insulation - it stays relatively save to the touch. It gets warm, but I never worry about getting burned. It has double pane glass in the door too!
+Bumpers/Spacers - it has small bumpers along the sides and longer ones on the back. This keeps it away from the wall to ensure proper air flow and avoids melting things (if it got that hot).
+Small Footprint - it doesn't take a lot of space on the counter like I thought. It is the perfect balance for capacity and footprint on the counter.
+Energy Savings - since this performs so efficiently, it will save you money. The time and energy it takes to heat a full size oven will make you want to use this more. If it fits in there, we use it instead of the big oven.
+Display - the display is large and very readable. It also is backlit with a blue light that most modern appliances use.
-=The Verdict=-
I have nothing to say other than if you are looking for a small oven or are looking for more efficient ways to cook… this is for you. This should be in everyone's kitchen!

As a Chromebook, it's a go... Convertible... meh.

-=|First Impressions|=-
|Thoughts|
If you are looking at this, you probably are already well versed in what ChromeOS has to offer and its limitations. Unpacking this was an adventure. When I opened the box and took out the laptop from the sleeve, I was excited. It felt better than Apple quality and on par with Microsoft Surfacebook sturdiness. Beautiful finishes like a solid aluminum unibody, glass accents, and silicone pads for the wrist rest stimulate your senses. Easily one of the most comfortable convertibles I have reviewed to date. It is light but doesn't feel cheap tipping the scales at only 2.4 lbs! This is the Ferrari of Chromebooks and you will have to pay a price for all that is under the hood. It is snappy and fast to setup. I think I was done with setup in less than 5 minutes including plugging it in and setting up ChromeOS. Simply turn it on and log in with your Google account and you're done. The charger is a well-constructed 45W USB-C to USB-C cellphone like charging block.

|Packaging|
It is well presented almost like a tablet or cell phone's presentation. Presentation was simple and clean. It is a little tough to separate the top half of the box though.
-=|Design and Build|=-
|Specs|
7th Gen Intel® Core™ i5 processor
8GB RAM (Up to 16GB Available)
128GB SSD (Up to 512GB options available)
2 USB-C (No USB 2.0 available)
Front Camera 720p @ 60FPS
-=|Love|=-
+Keyboard - This keyboard is unique and I cannot compare it to any other. It is like a cross of a Surface Book keyboard and a Logitech Solar keyboard. Key travel is short but feels tactile in execution. There is a satisfying click letting you know it registered your stroke. The wrist rests are some sort of silicone-like material that is really comfortable.
+Design and Build Quality - This oozes Pixel 2 design language. Aluminum and glass give this a premium feel. Track pad is glass and is very responsive and the hinges are tight without give.
+Google Assistant - The Pixelbook brings Android functionality to a laptop! If you have an Android phone, this is a welcomed addition. I thoroughly enjoy the ability to control things in my automated home from the laptop.
+Snappy Performance and Boot Up Times - This has got to be the fastest boot up EVER! Less than 5 seconds and it is on.
+Quiet - The fanless setup makes this a very quiet laptop. It gets warm sometimes but what electronic doesn't?+Battery Life - I got about 9 hours of battery life on a full brightness. I never ran out of battery when I finished my day. I watched videos and checked email while also trying a few games.
+Play Store/Android - You can load your favorite cell phone apps from the Play Store.
+Dual Boot Option - You can dual boot Linux or Win10 (with research). This makes it a true laptop and compliments ChromeOS.
+Pixel 2 Integration - You can use your phone to unlock your Pixelbook… very nice.
-=|Not So Much|=-
-Auto Rotation Lag - I find my unit is quick to go from portrait to landscape mode, but when you go from landscape to portrait mode there is almost a 5 second delay.
-ChromeOS - Don't get me wrong, ChromeOS has come a long way but it feels to me still unfinished. They implemented Play Store and have not considered the lack of apps for this size screen. They also have not considered organizational systems to separate Web Apps from Android Apps.
-Camera - Camera is 720p 60fps. Poor quality in low light. Very disappointing since most cell phones offer better cameras. Another thing is it lacks a rear facing camera. Some Android apps require one to function properly. Why isn't this standard? We are in 2018 almost and Google you are charging $1k for this base model.
-Lack of USB Ports - You only get 2 USB-C ports and there are NO USB 2.0 available. This means if you are charging your device you only have 1 port available for use. You will also need to upgrade your peripherals unless you buy hubs. Not good enough Google.
-Lack of SD Slot - With a limited SSD drive, you have to buy a USB-C adapter in order to transfer photos and other files. To me, this equates basically to an iPad with a built-in keyboard. Other cheaper Chromebooks offer SD expandable storage but not a $1k option?
-App Drawer - The app drawer is a mess. If you download an Android app and also have a web app of the same thing you will see duplicates and have to click a few times to figure out what icon is the one you want. Please make sorting options available to alleviate this mess of an app drawer.
-Sound/Speakers - These speakers are just ok. Nothing more nothing less.
-HUGE Bezels - For something released in 2017 it reminds me of the thick bezels of an iPad1.
-Price - It is a lot for a ChromeOS device. You get all the hardware to justify it, but I just don't see the value here. It should have provided the pen for this price.
-Laggy - You would expect the light ChromeOS to run at blazing speeds using an Intel i5. It does, but the accelerometer has BIG delays in recognizing how you turn it.
-Lack of Kensington Lock - This does not have a way to secure the Pixelbook to a desk. Not good if you are trying to use it for business or a public place and need to walk away from your area.
-2016 7th Gen Intel Processor - We are going into 2018 and 8th gen has been already released and widely implemented for new convertibles. For this price, 8th gen would have provided better value.
-=Verdict=-
Overall, this Pixelbook is a lot like the Pixel 2 phone. It lacks many features considered to be standard in our day. However, it is a beautiful high quality Chromebook for those who are lovers of ChromeOS. I find it extremely limiting due to the lack of ports and expandability while the OS itself feels unfinished. After marrying the Android ecosystem to ChromeOS, it feels laggy when using basic Android apps and changing orientations. Not many apps are optimized for this screen so you will have to scale a phone app which is part of the problem. It is a high performance device with a high price like a Ferrari. I don't see the value here if you are not a heavily invested ChromeOS user. For the price it should include the Google pen they want to charge $99 for.
In short, if you want the best Chromebook available… this is for you. If you are looking for a convertible laptop with functionality and options… look elsewhere for this price.

Keep your focus on the road with this Garmin Speak voice service device. Amazon Alexa is integrated and takes voice commands, so you can keep your hands on the wheel, and it connects to your vehicle's stereo system to provide spoken turn-by-turn directions. This Garmin Speak voice service device is compact, so it doesn't obstruct your view.

Buy for ALEXA, Pass for Navigation as of 11/22/17

The Garmin Speak is only as good as Garmin's Navigation maps, your cell signal strength, and the interface provided. I am a huge fan of Waze and I don't think Garmin is as accurate and up to date navigation/routing-wise. To be frank, this device isn't easy to use as a GPS using only voice, but as an "echo" device this excels. You have to go to unsaved addresses using the Garmin Speak app by keying in the street address then pressing go. It has potential, but I am unsure of how quickly Garmin developers will do their part improving this device. It lacks the ability to save places aside from the 3 locations provided: Home, Work, and School. Let's dive deeper into this thing. I will review this in two separate aspects: as an Alexa device and as a navigation device.
-=Setup=-
If you already have an Amazon account, this will be easy to setup. You need to download the Garmin Speak app and Garmin skill to link it to your account. I was up and running in under 5 minutes. There was an update to the device immediately after linking it to my phone so I am sure this addressed some of the other concerns listed in prior reviews. You can use the provided USB cigarette lighter cord, or you can use a USB port to power this device (which I tried and it worked). The next step is to stick it to the windshield and you are done.
-=Alexa Capabilities=-
First, this uses the Bluetooth you established in your car or the AUX port to tap into your car speakers. There is a bit of delay (maybe 1-2 secs) before you can hear the Garmin speak in your car if you aren't already connected and listening to something. This is normal. If you like Alexa, you will like this in your car. You get all the functionality you're used to at home minus the "drop in" feature and calling using Alexa. The Alexa portion is fast and provides things like your to do list, calendar, and shopping list while you are on the road with a simple command.
You have access to your home automation you have setup which is a huge plus. I can unlock my front door while it's raining so I can reduce time getting wet. I can turn on lights and turn them off with the same commands I use at home on my devices. Have you ever thought, "did I forget to lock the front door?" Using your command (if available with your lock skill), you can ask Alexa and then lock it if necessary. This whole thing works using your data through a Bluetooth connection between the Alexa app and the Garmin Speak app. This is where it can be spotty of you do not have more than 3 bars of signal.
-=GPS Capabilities=-
I must say I am disappointed with the entire experience as a GPS. You cannot simply say "Alexa, ask Garmin for directions to and a street address". You will be required to type it into your phone and send it to the Garmin Speak. What is the point of having a voice assistant if you still have to use your device to enter an address? Very disappointed. The GPS signal is spotty and relies heavily on your cell signal strength. If you go under 3 bars… you get the lost connection red ring of death until you get better signal.
-||What I love||-
+ Battery Saver - I love not having to have my cell phone sucking up battery with the screen on for directions. This uses its own power source and uses Bluetooth transitions which saves your phone.
+ HUD Display - You can put this literally ANYWHERE you want as long as your USB cord can reach. It provides clear instructions including lane guidance and a green ring to get your attention when a turn is coming up.
+ Alexa - I just love Alexa and having it with me on the go is a major plus. It makes any car smart. I am a sales person who travels and I like hearing my agenda and to do list while my eyes are on the road.
+ Home Automation Access - You get access to your home automation through your Alexa skills you have setup.
-||What I Would Change||-
- Garmin Speak app - I won't be too hard on this, but the app is SOOOOOOO BASIC. There isn't much you can do with it. It doesn't integrate with Alexa and you have to remember the correct syntax to get it to work. Using "Alexa, enable Garmin" seems to help with voice directions since it prompts you for where you want to go.
- Audio Routing - I wish Garmin would separate the directions from the Alexa/Media setting. I would rather have my Garmin Speak give directions and use my Bluetooth in my vehicle for Alexa functions and media.
- No Turning off Guidance - This is a simple fix, make an option for those who do not want to hear voice guidance. There is visual feedback so audio isn't always required for every user. Not providing that simple customizable option shows a lack of planning on Garmin's part.
- No Location Saving - Garmin allows you to save a Home, Work, and School address that is all! Are you telling me you don't have the option to save a place on your regular GPS units? Poor planning and execution again!
- Lack of Additional Mounts - Are you telling me you thing someone will buy one of these for each car they have? Do they do that for the REGULAR GPS units you sell? You provide a removable mount and an option to mount it somewhere else. You include a simple piece of iron to mount, why not provide another so we have options?
- Connectivity Issues - There must be a way to not rely on a cell phones signal strength for GPS positioning. You are using Bluetooth from the phone for everything including data transmission, there has to be another way for GPS position information.
- Uses Cell Data - Unlike a regular GPS unit, this uses data from your cell phone plan. If you are one of those who do NOT have unlimited data like I do, this may not be for you.
-=The Verdict=-
With all the negatives here, why will I keep it? I believe this product will be better with time since it is Garmin's first attempt at Alexa in a car. Most of my complaints are with the software. Software can easily be updated and so can the Garmin skill. There will be bugs, and if you are an early tech adopter you know this.
Short and sweet, buy if you want Alexa on the road with you… wait if you need a GPS unit or just buy a standard GPS device.

Adobe Premiere Elements is the scaled-down version of Adobe Premiere Pro, designed for the casual home user instead of movie-making professionals. This is not a bad thing it's just who they make this software for. It does an excellent job of guiding new users into the world of video editing, with a helpful series of built-in tutorials and introductory options that make it easy to start editing videos. There is an excellent set of tools for editing the content of existing videos, and a library of graphics, titles and other media available for adding an extra bit of style to your project. Rendering speed of your final output is fairly average compared to other video editors, so keep that in mind if you plan to work on large projects.
The support available for Premiere Elements is initially good, but you might run into trouble if you have more technical issues because Adobe relies heavily on community support forums to answer almost all their questions. I ran into a fairly serious bug with importing media directly from mobile devices, and I was unable to get a satisfactory answer about why.
Pros
• Easy of use - Guided modes help you learn to create nice-looking videos with absolutely no experience. Video Story and Instant Video modes almost automatically create family movies from raw footage. It can smartly curate moments and videos automatically from the raw files you upload.
• 4k 60fps support
• Key framing for animations
• Social media uploading
Cons
• Workspace is not as customizable as in some other programs
• More expensive than most consumer video editing software
• AI-driven features sometimes produce odd results
• Limited device support for certain cameras. I found it has trouble with Sony video footage resulting in crashes.
• Requires Adobe account
• Slow rendering footage
• Limited social media export presets

Can an owner of the original non active 65t comment on the fit and stability difference with the active version? Curious if that and the extra IP rating is worth a look, or negligible.

I have both. They fit exactly the same. The only difference between the two are the IP56 rating and the black rubberized finish on the Actives. The Actives also have motion sensors in them but you cannot feel any difference between the two. If you have $20 to spare, it is well worth buying the Actives over the Elites for peace of mind with extra water resistance and motion sensors.

The images for this product and description are for the regular non active 65t's. Not the active. According to Jabra's website the actives only come in blue/copper and have an IP rating of 65. Specifically... what is this product?

Obviously, if you read the description this is an exclusive colorway for BestBuy. This is evident by the "Only @ Best Buy" banner under the model number. They are exactly the same as the ones posted on the Jabra website with only the color/finish being different.

When answering phone calls, is it stereo or mono?

If you have both buds in and turned on, it will be stereo. You can use only the right one as a mono option.

Stay in touch with this 15.6-inch Samsung notebook computer. Its Bluetooth capability connects it to Bluetooth devices for wire-free convenience, and its built-in webcam facilitates video conferencing. This Samsung notebook computer has 12GB of DDR4 RAM and an Intel Core i7 processor for speed, and it has a 1TB hard drive to hold plenty of files.

Is the screen matte or glossy? I'd like to use it outside and in bright sun. My old HP laptop is so reflective that it is almost impossible to use outside! Hoping this one is better??

It is a glossy screen. It is highly reflective and can cause issues with outdoor use.

Everything you love about Google, for work and play. Google Pixelbook is the first laptop with the Google Assistant* built in. Its super thin, 4-in-1 design includes a long-lasting battery and 7th Gen Intel~ Core~** processor. It also comes with all the apps you already know and love including Youtube, Infinite Painter, Google Play Movies, Evernote, Slack, Lightroom, Google Photos and many more***.*Google Assistant requires Internet connection.**Intel and Intel Core are trademarks of Intel Corporation in the U.S. and/or other countries.***Availability and performance of certain apps and services may vary by region. Subscriptions(s) may be required, and additional terms, conditions and/or charges may apply. Pixelbook and Pixelbook Pen are optimized for selected apps and services only.

Why bother with the I7, when every review has the I5 running Chromium "ridiculously fast"? Ditto for RAM: Running small footprint apps instead of fully-fledged software begs the question, "What app needs 16GB?" The SSD upgrade I-get, but not for $700

You are ABSOLUTELY correct in your assessment. The only reason you would want to go to the i7 or 16GB is if you want to run Windows10 or Linux. As a Chromebook, the base model at $999 is OVERKILL for ChromeOS.

Does the GPS work if I’m out of my cellular network I drive in rural areas that sometimes has no network. Connectivity I have to rely solely on GPS satellites .

No, this uses your cell signal for some reason. Based on your scenario, pass on this.
