I needed a small amplified speaker to use with my low powered transceiver and this does the job while not taking up much room when I transport. I use a short phono cable to the aux input. Since I bought two XB10 speakers I may try using two of them just to experiment. The audio is primarily CW (morse code) not voice or music. The long battery life is also helpful.The audio level is more than enough to hear clearly. 73

I use this little speaker with my Elecraft KX3 QRP transceiver. The built in speaker of the KX3 faces downward and is sometimes hard to hear when operating and you may not always want to use headphones or ear buds. The Elecraft KX3 does not have enough audio power out to drive a non-amplified speaker. This little speaker does the job well.

Can a failed drive be user replaced?
I'm not sure if you are asking about lost data, photos and movies or if the Passport pro just quit working. If you don't care about the stuff lost on the failed Passport Pro, just plug a new one in and use it. If you are talking about recovering the stuff on the drive Best Buy and other companies may be able to retrieve the lost data on the non-working Passport Pro. I recently had a external hard drive quit working and had Best Buy send it to a specialist and they were able to recover valuable family photos which I could not do on my own. Regardless, in the future, back-up your valuable stuff. Good luck.
