I want to start with that I returned the first one as I was having trouble downloading even AOL to install. BEST BUY EXCHANGED IT WITHOUT A PROBLEM WITHIN MY 30 DAY PERIOD!! This one is working perfectly!! It has the quick startup with the SSD drive. I have been using it daily and putting it through its paces and have not had an issue. I have 10 external HDDs attached and have had no issues with them after renaming the drive letters. This is my first ASUS.

Once again I had to get another external hard drive in order to back up all my files. I don't store anything on my computer's drive and usually make sure that I have at least two (2) copies of everything. I have used Western Digital drives for many years and never had a problem with them. Great product!

I am using my Samsung for viewing my own videos and recordings via a USB stick. I am also streaming Netflix and Amazon. It was very easy to log onto my network and get it setup. I did check for updates and there was one and I updated it. Everything seems to be working well. I have not tried the DVD player yet. The only thing I miss is it does not have a light on the front to let you know if it is on or not.

I bought this laptop for traveling and going to quilt retreats. I love the smaller screen size and the ability to use it as a tablet or bent so that it is balanced on the keyboard. I have played recorded TV shows and they look very good. All of my software programs are loaded and I still lots of space left. I was kind of leery about the SSD drive but it loads so much faster than my other laptops did. I have always stored my files on external hard drives so the smaller drive size is not a problem with me. To-date I am very satisfied!!

I been trying to use the Amazon app but wont allow me to insert password . It will only tell me to go to Samsung support as a new member anyone else had this problem ? I can access Netflix okay though .
From what I recall is that when you first try to log into Amazon it wants a number and you have to log into your Amazon account via your computer to activated the Samsung player. Amazon will give you a number that you then enter into the requested box on your Samsung. After that it will let you log into the Amazon app and let you put in your Amazon account information on the Samsung player.

Is there a way to have Windows 7 instead of Windows 10? if so would it cost and how much?

I was thinking about giving an external hard drive to backup my daughters phone. to back up the phone does it need to be backed up to the computer first before going into this external hard drive? If so, is this compatible with vista?
Yes you can use the Seagate external hard drive to copy files from your phone. I have an iPhone and I copy all my pictures to my external drive. I also copy additional computer files to it on a monthly basis. I don't use backup as I have had experience where the restore failed, so I just copy and paste the files that I know are important to me. When I say the restore failed it was not about the Seagate drive - it was when I worked. Hope this helps.
