This release includes all 24 episodes of the brainy sitcom The Big Bang Theory, following the romantic and practical misadventures of two genius physicists, who are at the top of their fields in science, but at the bottom of the totem in playing the field. The two continually attempt to bring their social skills into par with their laboratory skills, and living across the hall from a charming blonde actress gives them plenty of motivation.
This show is more entertaining, the writing is better and the characters more three-dimensional with each season. My wife and I have gone through this season twice already and we laugh so hard we miss entire jokes. The newer, female additions (Bernadette and Amy) are integral to the show now and have unforgettable moments. This is one of if not my favorite season yet. The only unfortunate thing is the DVD extras have no audio when played on my LG Blu-Ray player. The regular content plays fine, though.
This release from the CG reboot of the kids' action franchise Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles includes five complete episodes of the show, following the titular heroes as they emerge from their sewer home to beat bad guys with their martial arts skills, and devour massive amounts of pizza.
Although a little disappointed that Shredder barely makes a cameo in this first part of the series, I did enjoy the establishment of the Kraang, which holds a much closer resemblance to the original black and white comic series than the original 1980's-90's TMNT cartoons did. There is a decided anime feel to this CGI series now, which is ok; but it's the humor that remains a staple of the show and a strong one at that. Splinter is actually one of the funniest characters now. It's fun enough that I watched the first episode twice in one day so my wife could see it as well. I'm looking forward to getting the next disc in the series.
This release includes all eight episodes from the final season of the high-octane animated series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, following the titular pizza-loving heroes as they go toe-to-toe with all new villains like the Evil Lord Dregg and the dreaded Hi-Tech.
Not my favorite of the TMNT stories, but it did have some of that characteristic Ninja Turtle humor. Perhaps it's because I was still a kid when the first series came out and they hold a place of nostalgia in my heart. The irritating thing about the Final Season was that half of the episodes on this disc are already on the Volume 1 disc. I didn't realize this until after I got it home. So, if you are a completist you should get it, but otherwise Series 1 should suffice.
