Good, But Not What I Need

To be fair, I didn't buy these for outdoor use; I have an all-Pioneer home theater system which includes 7 rather large, heavy (14" x 8" x 7", 12 lb) black satellite speakers, and I want to wall-mount the ones that serve as my rear and back surrounds. Such bulky speakers are something of a challenge to securely mount, and I was leery of them becoming an eyesore in the room, so I thought something along the lines of these Insignias might be an alternative, especially since I own several other Insignia products.
Unfortunately, these speakers, as good a deal as they are, simply can't match the full, rich sound of my Pioneer speakers. When a DVD's sound focus moves from the Pioneer fronts to the Insignias (as the rear and back surrounds), the change in sound quality is VERY noticeable. Now, I must point out that I am extremely picky about sound quality, and others may not consider this to be an issue. Used on their own, as in a patio setup, they would likely be fine.
What's great about it: Versatile size, pretty good sound, mounting hardware included
What's not so great: Low-end lacking
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Could not get this to work
By InTheWest from San Francisco, CA
Buyer Beware! This is the Mystery Headset. I bought this to pair with a brand new AT&T EL51200 Dect 6.0 Cordless Telephone. Be sure to look at the photo of this headset. You will see the base unit has NO "Pair" button. It has no button at all. However, when you refer to the User's manual, it tells you to push the "Pair" button on the base unit, in order to pair it with your cordless telephone. The User's manual that came with this headset was indeed for the TL600. However, the photo it shows in the manual bears no relevance to the actual unit. I was completely unable to pair this with my new phone, because I couldn't push a button that wasn't there. I took it back to Best Buy and explained this dilemma to the very nice Customer Service guy. He looked at the base unit, read the directions in the manual and said, "Huh. Well, THAT'S weird." He too realized there was no way to pair this with my AT&T cordless phone. I have now ordered the TL610, which HAS a "pair" button and which, according to the AT&T site, should work with my phone. So please keep these things in mind. This review might save you the same frustration I have experienced.

Clarification
May 23, 2014
Actually, according to the TL7600 manual available on AT&T's website states that "To register a headset to a TL7610/TL7611/TL7612 DECT headset base" (another headset, not the phone), one should push the PAIR button.
"To register the headset to an AT&T DECT cordless telephone base...on the telephone base of the cordless phone, press and hold the HANDSET LOCATOR button until the IN USE light turns on (about four seconds) and release the button."

Cook food quickly with this Cuisinart 6-qt. electric pressure cooker. A lid that tightly locks in place keeps food moist and flavorful even after pressure is released, while cooking settings are conveniently activated at the push of a button. This Cuisinart 6-qt. electric pressure cooker features cool-touch side handles to avoid the risk of injury.

Then why is it a "great cooker"? As you mention you returned the "first one", did you get a second? If so, did it work?

How was the phone's call quality? How was its responsiveness? Does the stock software offer any useful tools, or is it largely bloatware? How well do the GPS, NFC and Bluetooth features function? There are so many questions you left unanswered in your review, yet you took the time to rate the phone 1 star because of your clumsiness; nowhere in the description does it say that the V10 is "shock-absorbent". Cell phones are inherently delicate devices, loaded with sophisticated electronics and glass screens - scratch-resistant glass, not bullet-proof.

Take high- or low-angle shots with the FUJIFILM X-T10 by moving the LCD monitor up or down. The electronic viewfinder shows the subject of your image clearly and incorporates the effects of your exposure settings. Shooting moving objects is a breeze with the real-time viewfinder and short shutter time lag of the FUJIFILM X-T10.

Without a list of reasons why you returned the camera, your review doesn't contribute anything toward shoppers' informed buying decisions.

Your review serves no purpose without details as to why you felt this mirrorless camera "isn't for you". Image quality? Features lacking? Flash recycle time?
We'll never know.

I am looking for a system to connect a turntable. I need a Aux connection for 2 plugs. What kind of aux connection does the Insignia have?

It is dual RCA - left/right (white/red)

What antenna booster is compatible with Insignia 50W Bluetooth CD Compact Shelf System?

I bought a Terk Powered Antenna to help with the reception we're getting on our Insignia radio but it's not compatible with the radio (no where to connect it). Thanks for your help.
If your Terk has a standard coax (cable) connector on it, you'll need an adapter to fit the antenna input on this unit: http://www.amfmreception.com/fm-radio/fm-antenna-connector-guide

How would you use this with bluetooth wireless speakers? I tried per previous answer but the y didn't recognize eachother.

I don't believe that it would work as a "bluetooth out" (for lack of a better term" - it would serve as the "bluetooth in" for a cell phone, mp3 player, tablet , etc.

Does this unit have any sort of preamp out for recording or connecting to another device?

There is a headphone out jack on the back of the unit that might serve as an audio out, depending on your other device.

Does the "random" feature work when playing music from a USB memory stick via the USB port?

The manual is vague about the random play with a USB-connected source. It does mention in the CD section: "Random play is only available on standard music CDs, not MP3 or WMA CDs." It doesn't mention USB mp3 files.

Is it possible to have 4 speakers hooked up to this system at the same time?

I am looking for a Stereo system that can hold 4-6 speakers rather than just 2. However, I would like to keep the price down.
It's not designed for more than two speakers, but you *could* hack it (voiding the warranty, of course). You have to be careful to maintain the ohm load presented to the unit. Do a search for "speaker connection parallel vs series". If your load drops too low, the unit will overheat and possibly sustain damage.

Is the USB port a charging port?

The manual doesn't specifically state the USB port's charging capability, though I did hook up my Sansa Clip, and it started charging - that is a low-amp device, though. I don't think I'd risk hooking up a high-amp device like a tablet.

Can I connect a Sirius/XM radio to this and listen through the speakers?

Yes, if the Sirius/XM device has an AUX Out port; you could connect it to the AUX In on the Insignia.

Does the USB interface recognize "folders"?

No, unfortunately, it doesn't; all of the files are just in a big "blob", though they are in order, sort of.
