At least I considered a classic.
First off, it looks beautiful. And the sound is clean crisp and clear. And this being a combo pack it comes with the Blu-ray and DVD. If you look at the back of the disk, you notice all the features that are available on both the Blu-ray and DVD, which are not always the same.
Suffice it to say if you were a fan of this film I believe you'll really enjoy the quality of this disk.
By the way it definitely looks better than my laser disk copy.

First off, I like the movie Uncle Buck. I never bought it on DVD, so when I saw for five dollars on Blu-ray, had to get it. There's not a lot to this disk, which is why I gave it a four instead of five. And that's be expected, after all it's a old movie with that a lot of extras lying around. But the video does look very good. And as for the audio, it's only 2.0, which works out well since that's how it was recorded I believe.
I think that if you're a fan of this film, that you will enjoy seeing it in this Blu-ray version.

Predestination is a very different sort of a movie. The first time I saw this movie was when I noticed it in my public library. I decided to take it out for two reasons. One, it's a time travel story, and I enjoy those. Two, Ethan Hawke was in it, and I had just finished seeing him in Precinct 13, and enjoyed him in that. Well I was very, very glad that I did take it out!
Feel free to look up the story line for yourself. This is not an action film, but more of a thought-provoking film. Think of it is as a, action with character development. The Blu-ray looks beautiful. There's a 75 minute documentary on how they made it, which is also very interesting. I really enjoyed hearing what the actors had to say about playing the parts they were playing.
I don't want to give anything away, because while watching this movie, it doles out information to help you put all the pieces together. And I enjoyed that very much. I really enjoyed learning about the characters. It was a very smart script. And very thoughtful. Well done all the way around.
Ethan Hawke and Sarah Snook are wonderful. Especially Sarah. I've never seen her before, but I'm looking forward to seeing her again.
When I saw this will be on sale at Best Buy, it was a no-brainer! I had to get it.

If you're into these kind of films, I think you'll enjoy them. I gave it four stars because I have some issue with the films not the quality of the disk.

Come on, you'll love these guys! It's a fun loving movie, done with a lot of heart. The quality looks fantastic, as it should. I purchased the Blu-ray. I would've purchased the 3-D one but, I still don't know the 3-D TV.
I think that anybody who enjoy these penguins in the Madagascar movies, should love this one. It's wacky!

This is a continuation of the first movie. The disk looks very good. And if you like extras, there's an alternate opening, featured commentary, and extended scenes. There's also a digital copy (either iTunes, or ultraviolet), offered with this, and a DVD.
It was good to see the characters come back together, along with new characters. All in all if you enjoy the first one, you should enjoy # 2!

An epic telling of a fictitious story

Enjoyed this film. Granted, it's a fanciful story about Abraham Lincoln as a vampire Hunter. But that's what it supposed to be. The filmmakers give you an epic view in this telling. I thought it was very inventive, and a lot of fun. I don't think you'll be disappointed with the story or the action sequences that you see. I wish I'd seen it in 3-D. I purchased the 2-D version because I don't have a 3-D TV yet.
I really enjoyed all of the actors in this movie. They made it seem very believable that Abraham Lincoln was a vampire Hunter. And the actor that played Abarham Lincoln did an excellent job.
The movie uses extensive CG effects to help give you a grander scope then otherwise would be have been possible.
The people that I've shown the movie too really enjoyed it. I think you will too, as long as you're not scared away by the title!

Most everybody should know, that this is a very beautiful movie. What Ang Lee has created, is very different and interesting. The disk looks gorgeous. And it comes with a number of different features, though it does not have a commentary.
It does, come with an iTunes digital copy or ultraviolet digital copy. The iTunes copy is found on the DVD disc, so you don't have to download it.
