I have a newer tablet pc and I also have older accessories. This adapter allows me to hook everything up at one time. I had an older projector (vga), a camera (usb) and my modem (ethernet) all hooked up at the same time to this one adapter. It worked flawlessly.

Great update from an older unit

I bought this to replace an older unit (4years old). I liked the older one but it started "locking up" when I would turn it on occasionally so I thought it was time to replace it. This new one was faster right out of the box than the old one I had. I could not believe the difference. Even the turn by turn directions were faster and there is more information on the screen than before. I travel for a living and this unit does a very good job from state to state. It even worked very well a few weeks ago when I went to Alaska. The only issue I have with it is when you go to type in an address it takes almost 30 seconds for the unit to change so that you can start typing the address. It doesn't have this problem when using the categories or when searching for favorites. I even did an update to the latest software and it still takes that long to get from the address shortcut to the next screen. All in all it is a great GPS and I am very glad I bought it.

Where can I find Windows 7 drivers for this product? My Rocketfish bluetooth usb adapter finds it, and starts to connect to it, but fails at the "installing drivers" stage. I looked on the Insignia web site, but could not find the product there.
Are you running windows 7 or windows 10. If you are in windows 10 try installing it and when it isn't successful just click ok and then wait. a pop up screen will come up and ask if this device installed correctly. just say no and it will ask if you would like to try and run it in an earlier version of windows. Just follow the prompts and you can choose which windows you want to run it in.
If you are running windows 7 copy the error message into your browser and search for that message. I hope this helps

It all depends. You should probably pull your system apart and see what is inside it. I have had a couple of all in one pc's that actually used laptop memory and not desktop memory. there really isn't a way to tell unless you physically open it up and look.

If I have 4 GB ram already installed and I buy this 8gb will it give me 12 gigs total
With 2 expansion slots do they have to be the same size?
No they do not have to be the same size. It does help if they are the same speed though. The other thing to look at is how much RAM will your PC support. depending on how old it is some may only recognize 8GB of RAM.

Everything is connected properly from the mac to the tv/hdmi. Why isn't the tv picking the signal?
Sometimes you have to turn the TV off then with everything hooked up turn it back on and it should automatically find it. If that doesn't work then you will need to go into the settings menu of the tv and manually select it. Are you running this thru a sound bar? That can also have an effect on it.

Do Garmin GPS units require a data plan or some kind of monthly fee in order to give turn-by-turn directions or to recalculate the route?
no. turn by turn is included with the unit. If you are not getting that then you may have to go to the settings of the GPS and turn it on. I have owned several Garmin units and have never had an issue with turn by turn directions. The same goes for recalculating the route.
