99 HOMES is a very interesting movie about the lives of people who lost their homes due to the Mortgage disasters of the past decade. Michael Shannon is perfect as an unempathetic businessman who wants to make as much money as he can and doesn't care who has to suffer for it. Andrew Garfield is one of the unfortunate victims of the Mortgage disaster who ends out working for Shannon in an unexpected twist. The movie is a GREAT drama and kept me wanting to find out what was going to happen. The Blu Ray has Great Video and Audio quality. Blu Ray is Only available at Best Buy for a limited time.

I haven't seen this movie in many years, so it was fun to pop it in on Blu Ray and see it in high definition for the first time. The movie is a so-so comedy detective flick with Andrew Dice Clay playing his typical comedy routine to the tune of a rock n roll detective. The video quality was good. Probably a 3.5 out of 5. And the audio was good. It was fun to see Robert "Freddy Krueger" Englund in a different role here. Overall it's just a decent movie, but sometimes its fun to take a step back into the 90's and remember some of the pop culture of the time.

Not the original, but not bad

When I first saw this remake, I was not impressed. I felt that it just didn't live up to the standards of the classic 1974 original. After years away from it, I recently rewatched it on the Blu Ray Disc and found that it was better than I remembered. Leatherface was one big bad killing machine in this. And Old Monty was such a fun character. I still don't think it's as good as the original, but it has some great moments and it's effective. The Video quality on Blu Ray is Really good with a nice sharp video presentation and clear impressive audio. And this disc is FULL of bonus features all about making the movie, on the set, everything! If you love bonus features, this disc does not let you down.

Toxic Avenger Part 4 is a crazy movie, full of extreme jokes, buckets of blood and guts, and a fun plot that keeps the movie firing on all cylinders. The video/audio transfer is very nice. This is one of the best looking TROMA releases available on Blu Ray. Lots of bonus features and a great high def transfer make this disc a winner.

FRIDAY THE 13th PART VII: THE NEW BLOOD is my favorite in this excellent horror series. It's a perfect mix of horror, action, suspense, and great special effects. The movie translates nicely to Blu Ray. Image quality is sharp and audio is nice and clear. *note- this is the same disc that you will find in the FRIDAY THE 13th BLU RAY Box Set, except now you can buy the discs individually. FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 8 isn't one of my favorites, but it does look great in high definition. The video and audio quality is about as good as the part VII transfer. Part 8 does have some really cool scenes, but overall it just isn't as good of a film as it's predessessors. There are some extras on the disc too.

PENNY DREADFUL is a dark show with lots of characters and some really good acting, especially by the beautiful Eva Green. The blu ray looks really good. The many dark scenes look fine and you can tell that the director of photography knows his stuff.

TERMINATOR 3 is a fun action movie that deserves more credit than it gets. Arnold is back and still in perfect shape. The movie moves pretty fast and has some really great special effects. There is a chase scene toward the middle of the film that is spectacular, non-stop action excitement. The movie looks and sounds great on Blu Ray and has some enjoyable bonus features as well.
