Open world fantasy worth a few hundred hours

I wanted to give this a 5, what game doesn't deserve a 5 after playing it a few HUNDRED hours? Perhaps the failing is in the nature of all true open world games? However after seeing and playing the Witcher you realize the story can be just as good as the gameplay.
You should certainly play this game it is excellent.

So much of this game is great I hate that elements of it keep me from giving it 5 stars. Graphics great, Combat great, story good, open worldish good, side quests....good with reservations.
What kept the game from being amazing for me was the car....a central piece of the story. I enjoyed the car....for about an hour...the rest of the time I found it tedious and boring. You can choose to skip the car rides...miss events and exp and AP point and spend only a shorter time waiting for a load screen. If the game didn't have so many side quests that needed the car I might have been okay with the driving but when you have quests that send you diving for 5 minutes to take a picture and then driving back 5 minutes you wonder why you are playing a game that feels like a run to the store to get milk. And not as fun because you are in the backseat.
If you like final fantasy and RPG games you will enjoy it maybe even love it. The "real" concepts in the game left me feeling bored.
While not as polished as FFXV try World of Final Fantasy its cute and funny and well balanced.

Better than FFXV Cute and Balanced

I enjoyed this game more than Final Fantasy XV which I also gave a good score (4/5). The story was well written, even if it comes across as standard fantasy story telling. I loved the humor and light tone for the majority of the plot and the humor had my wife and I entertained regularly. Read the mirage summaries you will not be disappointed.
Combat was a nice mix and casual enough for a first timer and complex enough for micromanaging.
I normally dislike games where you have large amounts of characters to choose from but the nestalga keep me from not wanting to pick up another mirage.

This is a great game with plenty of options a good story and nice graphics. So much about this game is great I hateto give it an average score. But for players like me who prefer to take time and casually experience a game it failed. I found myself battling the clock more than fighting the enemy.

This review is for anyone considering this game as a solo play experience. The storyline is pretty standard MMO variety fair. You will level and upgrade your character to make progress. You're not going to get a deep storyline, but it's not bad for a game of this type. However, you are going to experience some game balance issues playing. Some of the missions are not designed with solo play in mind. The game isn't broken but you can expect to be frustrated and of course you will miss out on the group only aspects of the game.
