Excellent phone. Not too big but much bigger than the last phone I had which was the RAZRHD. The apps are lightning fast as are the downloads/uploads. Graphics are first rate for games. 1080p movies run a little blocky but 720p and streaming Netflix stuff runs flawlessly. I have no use for the active stylus as I don't take handwritten notes. Comes with swipe typing utility that makes texting and note writing much easier.

I have been a loyal HP customer for 20 years. When my 8500 broke down naturally I looked to move up. The 8610 fit the bill perfectly. The printer is not too big and bulky. It's actually smaller than the 8500. It's fast on draft mode and prints beautiful pictures when using any brand of photo paper. The internet apps let you print from your phone or anywhere you have internet access. Negatives are the small screen is not very sensitive. I have to press a little to get it to work but the 8500 was the same way. The machine still vibrates when printing. You need a stable platform to sit it on. A printer cart will move around when its printing. Finally the copier top still doesn't have any means to arrest itself in case you drop it closed. You can break the glass if you let it drop too hard. HP really needs to investigate a fix for that. Otherwise it's a great machine for under $250!! I love it.
What's great about it: Print quality and features
What's not so great: Top cover slams easy
I would recommend this to a friend!

Yes. We plugged them in and no issues. We didn't try the mic but the headphones work great.

Does the OS matter with the Plantronics 788 headset?
Wondering if these will work (although I can't see why not); I have Windows XP OS but use google as my web browser. Any confiliction there?
So long as your PC is equipped with a USB port the headset should work.

Will 8610 print business cards?
Yes. My wife uses Staples heavy card stock and prints the business cards off Word. They come out great.

Will I need a phone line to send Faxes?
I do not have a hard line. Can this send faxes without a phone line?
No. You need a land line for fax capability.

I know every case fits perfectly.
Most screen protectors intended to their each phone specification will fit, but curve edges are becoming more and more common these days I want to know if it shows Halo effect on the side even it fits perfectly?

There is a very noticeable halo when the screen is off. It disappears when the phone is active. I don't find it an issue with this application.

Does the 8610 Auto Document Feeder (ADF) scan BOTH sides of the paper without human interaction? Is it a DUPLEX ADF Scanner?
NO. The ADF on some of the older models did double sided scanning automatically but the ADF on the 8610 DOES NOT.
