The second season starts with Frank Underwood about to be sworn in a Vice President and taking care of any opposition as he gets ever closer to his ultimate goal as becoming the next President of the United States.
The pace for this season is slower because of the Tusk/Walker storyline but it will all make sense and everything will fall into place as you see the end result.
Another wonderful season of superior acting by this ensemble cast and amazing writing.

There is a rumour that a group of Congressional aides gather every week to watch House of Cards and discuss the show. I can only imagine what is talked about and what is fact or fiction but I just hope that what we are watching in House of Cards is make believe.
The acting cast is phenomenal and the best part is when Kevin Spacey engages the audience with these sideways commentaries about what is going on and why the action is following a certain direction. It's like a tutorial on Machiavellian politics.
I put this on by accident one day and now I'm hooked on House of Cards.

If you didn't watch the Halloween special in 2013 then you are in for a treat. It's not too scary for the liitle ones and enough humor mixed with fun for everyone else. Pixar never fails to bring a quality product to market and it only adds to the keeping the Toy Story franchise relevant.
What's great about it: The original cast returned for this featurette.
What's not so great: Small glitch when Pickel Pants is talking but no sound for 59 sec.

You don't need to have ever read a Spiderman comic but it adds to the appreciation of the movie.
Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone totally lite up the screen being able to draw from real life romance and bring it into this film.

The angst that Peter Parker about not being able to keep his promise to Capt. Stacy comes to a dreadful climax but there just weren't enough scenes with Emma so when the death scene came it would have more watcher emotional affect than just the devastating loss to Peter. I wish they had brought in the older Green Goblin so we could have Emma Stone for just one more film but at least we can look forward to the new actress playing Maryjane Watson whom I think Dr. Who's Amy Pond played by Karen Gillan would be perfect.
The fight scenes with Jamie Foxx as Electro are just fantastic but Paul Giamatti as Rhino was just a waste of CG. The new Green Goblin was a nice twist but it could have been cooler with the more dangerous and vicious Hob Goblin.
A fantastic film for the Spidey fan and can't wait for the next installment of the Amazing Spiderman 3!!!

DC just couldn't decide if this storyline for kids or adults.
You get a lame Deathstroke character that is not anyway close to the mid-level villain from Teen Titans. Morena Baccarin is a terrific actress but her talents are wasted on the lame dialogue and plot. Ras Al Ghul is killed too early, too quickly and too easily. Damian, the son of Batman is a bratty, Kung Fu Jimmy Neutron and just torture waiting for his scenes to end with Batman or Bruce Wayne. The beginning assault scene was just ridiculous and unbecoming of the League of Assassins.
Batman as the father was just too easy for Bruce Wayne because no one is that good as a first time Dad not even Alfred. Plot and storyline needed a lot more work more and it shows from its simplicity and superficial theme.

It's a really new interesting twist on the boy and girl from different sides of the tracks with the romance and some really imaginative story telling.
Jim Sturgess and Kirsten Dunst are well cast. The special effects are terrific similar to Inception, story flows well and just keeps your attention so definitely worth a try.

Jenji Kohan's newest endeavor, Orange is the new black, is a sitcom similar in concept to Weeds but based in a women's prison and out in the real world. The ordinary main character starts the story but it is the interaction of the supporting characters and their lives that really drives the show. Taylor Schilling is terrific as the main character Piper Chapman and the supporting cast is full of main line stars such as Jason Biggs, Laura Prepon, Kate Mulgrew, Taryn Manning, Pablo Schreiber, Natasha Lyonne, Laverne Cox, Uzo Aduba and many others. The comedy and dialogue is Kohanesque so if you liked Weeds give Orange a chance!

Its a great spectacle movie with lots of action but you have all these top name actors like Richard Dreyfuss, Andre Braugher, Emmy Rossum, Freddy Rodriquez, Kurt Russell and Josh Lucas that aren't given the chance to strut their stuff because the script is not written for character performance.
However, this is a fantastic special effects film and if you've never been on a cruise then maybe you'll want to watch this after you get back from vacation.
