This is one of those movies you have to be in the mood for a genuinely funny yet ridiculous premise. Micheal Madsen steals the show as the "wise sage" foretelling the doom awaiting a bunch of teenagers at bible camp.
I only heard about this from the AVGN site, and being a fan of the original, I wanted to give this version a try. As long as your expectations aren't high, you will enjoy this movie.
A fun and fascinating B-movie with a memorable premise. If Corman didn't force this to be rushed the plot could have been expanded some more, especially with the ending.
A good start for people who have never experienced the magic of Roger Corman.
Joel, Mike, Crow and Tom serve up their own unique take on some classically bad films in Mystery Science Theater 3000: Volume XXXV. The collection includes Teenage Cave Man, Being From Another Planet and 12 to the Moon.
One of Michael Crichton's lesser-known films, Runaway comes to DVD with two different transfers. The widescreen anamorphic 2.35:1 image is far superior to the full-frame standard 1.33:1 picture. English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 4.0 and Dolby Digital Surround, while Spanish and Portuguese soundtracks are mixed in Dolby Digital Mono. English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean, and Thai subtitles are accessible. Spartan extra features include talent files and a handful of theatrical trailers. Fans of Crichton's sci-fi tinged stories will enjoy this fine-looking disc.
An 80s nostalgia video I loved as a kid and saw recently on TV a while back. You have Tom Selleck going after terrorist Gene Simmons with robots sprinkled in between. The effects are dated, but who cares.
Dr. Martin Ellingham, a smart physician with a foul disposition, moves to Portwenn to replace the Cornish hamlet's deceased doctor, and promptly sets about alienating everyone. This release collects every episode from the seventh season of the series.
A dozen episodes from the sixth season of the outrageous sitcom It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are collected on this release as well as an extended cut of Lethal Weapon 5 and a collection of bloopers.
Dairanger starts off fast and if you're not paying attention you'll not know exactly why the rangers were chosen or why they're fighting the seasonal villains. Compared to Lord Zedd, the Gorma villains just don't do it for me. That being said, there's still plenty of footage that beats Power Rangers season 2. The intro song is really catchy along with good fight choreography.
Based on the adaptation of a BBC miniseries of the same name, House of Cards is set in Washington, D.C., where ruthless democrat Frank Underwood ({$Kevin Spacey)) schemes to become President of the United States. This release compiles every episode from season three of the series.
A mystery/monster film about gangsters who run into a group of survivors fending off against ghouls hiding under a church so they can find a body hiding money. Okay?
On the plus side, Jeffrey Coombs and Ashley Laurence do a great job with such a "plot", and are the best parts of the movie. The monster effects are pretty cool as well.
Minus, I have no idea what happened because the plot just falls apart a third of the way in.
