About 2 people who find themselves at a party and become best friends. Only problem is that Zoe Kazan is in a 5 year relationship with the hopes to be married. Daniel Ratcliffe is a quirky writer who does not know what he wants in life. Sweet and fun comedy that says that "best friends can be boyfriend/girlfriend". Highly recommended if you like romantic comedies.
A campy but fun chick flick of a best friend who is too comfortable in the current relationship and not sure if she loves her best friend. He is getting married and she tries to sabotage the wedding. BEST scene is the group singing "Say a Little Prayer for you". Julia Roberts and Cameron Diaz (one of her first roles) were excellent, but Dermot Mulloney was too passive in his role. Good, fun movie if you don't take it too seriously.
Rob Roy was a well done movie with an excellent cast and script. The swordfighting scene at the end was a classic and a must see. About a poor landowner who puts honor above everything else and how politics manipulates him and his family. Liam Neesson was fantastic and one of his BEST works. Highly recommend it.
I was looking forward to watching this movie, but the characters were too much over the top and stupid in order for the movie to be real/funny. Many funny parts (like the Jennifer Anniston scenes which were the best), but the scenes were not cohesive and more like vingettes put together hap-hazzardly. Good idea, bad execution. Justin Bateman does his best to save the movie, but the other 2 just wreck it.
Great action movie about a man who helps people. Russian mobsters control Boston (cops, other mobs etc). Denzel Washington tried to buy a young girl freedom from the Russians and the Russians get violent. Don't mess with the wrong guy. Things escalates until Denzel dies or the Russians die. Great scene at Home Depot with the mob sending in the "A team" in a Predator like ending. Excellent acting, pacing, and enjoyable script which never gets old. Highly recommended.
A prodigy dancer who quits after getting beaten up before the National Finals. His life goes into a boring routine until he meets Rashida Jones who is his American boss. Nick Frost finds out that she likes to "salsa" and returns to his roots to become a "salsa" dancer. He is very rusty and works out his kinks to his dancing. meanwhile he is competing for Rashida's attention with another co-worker who acts like he is "god's gift to women". A great date movie which is quite enjoyable. Definitely worth having in your collection. Can watch over and over without being bored.
A nostalgic action movie which blends new mercenaries with the old mercenaries who have to learn to work together. Antonio Bandaris and Rhonda Roussey steal the show. Lots of good one lines. Not as good as 1 or 2, but the end scene was very good. Story pacing is slower than the first two movies which brings my rating down and not as interesting. Feels like going to a reunion and seeing old friends one last time (but you know there will be another sequel). Wish Jet Li was in the movie more.
This is a frame up movie which frames an air marshal for a hijacking. Everything points to him: motive, actions, reactions etc. It is a whodunit and a GOOD movie until you start unraveling the picture and it makes sense, but highly unlikely. The process of unraveling is fascinating, but after you find out what happened, then the story becomes highly unlikely and pretty far fetched. Too much detailed planning and luck. Good for a Saturday night rental, but not something I would recommend seeing over and over. Acting is solid and the passengers reactions are PERFECT, but the masterminds are too far fetched and needed lots of money and planning to pull it off.
This the the Sleeping Beauty story told through the eyes of Maleficent. It tells a different story which acts like a history lesson and that there are 2 sides of a story and the truth is somewhere in between. Maleficent is the good guy and that she was wronged by Aurora's father. He was the real evil person in the story. A little dark for kids, but an excellent example of different perspectives. Highly recommended.

Gettysburg is a good movie about the overall battle and the feelings of all of the generals involved. The scene with Chamberlin is an all time classic with all of the tension of the episode. You feel like you were a Union soldier. Acting was very good and you have a feel for the battle. Highly recommended.
