Cools fast and cools really well

This is my second time purchasing a portable AC unit. And this Frigidaire is SO good!! It cools way better than my previous portable AC unit.
My first one was a Kenmore unit with a BTU rating of 8,000 that I purchased about 3 years ago. That Kenmore unit was never powerful enough to cool down my ~650 sq. ft living room during the hot California months where the temperature can get above 100 F. But we lived with it because it was better than nothing and we didn't want to buy another unit when the old unit still works.
Not wanting to suffer through the upcoming hot summer months, I purchased this more powerful 14,000BTU unit and it didn't disappoint. A few weeks ago here in Southern California, we experienced a brief >90 F weather and I got to try out the Frigidaire unit and compare it directly to the 8,000 BTU Kenmore unit. The 14,000BTU Frigidaire unit is SO much better. On paper, it's a 75% upgrade in cooling ability and it really shows. The living room is now a pleasant place to lounge around thanks to the AC unit maintaining cool temperatures.
Besides its cooling power, I also liked how easy it was to set up the exhaust vent tubing and the design of the windows kit. Another area that is much better engineered and designed than the Kenmore one. With my old Kenmore one, the tubing would constantly pop out & the window kit would fall out. I had to modify the window kit by purchasing some custom brackets from Home Depot to prevent the kit from falling out/moving around. The engineers at Frigidaire are clearly more thoughtful and smarter.
There was a pleasant surprise about this Frigidaire unit that I didn't already know about until I used it - the louvers move up and down automatically! This mechanism helps to distribute the cold air around the living room which I found to be very helpful. I don't know why Best Buy doesn't include this feature in the product description page.
All in all, I'm super satisfied and happy with this Frigidaire portable AC. This was my first experience with this company and they have made a positive impression on me. I highly recommend it!!

A good TV overall

Upon first hooking up this TV and firing it up, I was initially disappointed by the picture quality. The images looked worse than my 4- 5-years old 46" 1080P Samsung TV. More muddy, less bright, and more motion blur. I expected some motion blur b/c the spec sheet says it has a 60 Hz refresh rate. But I only expected to see motion blur watching sports and not regular TV content.
Before deciding to return it, however, I played around with the settings and that's when things started to get better. The images were made sharper and brighter. The motion blur from regular content, however, never went away and it was still bothering me once in a while. But still, I was 90% satisfied at this point and had decided to keep the TV.
A couple days later, however, other issues began to crop up. My wifi password would become forgotten and I'd have to keep entering them with the remote which is very cumbersome and annoying. I had to do this despite receiving 3 TV software updates within a week & a half period.
Another thing I didn't like about this TV compared to my older Samsung TV was the lag that was present when cycling through setting menus. Besides the initial cold start of the TV where this TV is much faster to turn on than the Samsung, this TV just seemed laggier and slower. It felt like a downgrade despite this TV being 5 years newer and having better specs.
In the end, I returned this TV and bought another Samsung TV that was also on sale on Best Buy during the Blackfriday special.
With all that said, I still give this LG 4K TV a 4 out 5 because of the value it offered for the price I paid during the Blackfriday sale. If I had paid more than the Black Friday price, then I would've lowered my rating to a 3.

The Samsung Gear S3 Classic is the second smartwatch I've owned - the first was the Samsung Gear S2 3G - and it is a great improvement over its predecessor. For me, it has been totally worth the upgrade.
First of all, in my opinion, it looks better and functions better due to its superior design - the bigger size leads to a bigger screen that can fit in more content, the bezel has grooves on its outer perimeter that makes it easier to rotate the bezel with a single finger, and the watch now comes with standard support for any 22mm watchbands. On my Gear S2 3G, I had to purchase separate watchband adapters imported from Europe to add the same functionality which cost me around $45 due to the high shipping cost.
The software and UI of the Gear S3 is about 95% identical to that of a Gear S2 3G. The Gear S3 has an improved S Health, adds a voice Reminder function which the Gear S2 still doesn't have (unbelievable), has true Always on Display (AOD), and it is, of course, faster and smoother due to its upgraded specs. In addition to allowing you to choose your own ringtone, the Gear S3 adds the ability to choose your notification sound as well which is appreciated.
In terms of apps, I'm quite satisfied with what is on offer. For my daily usage, I just need good notification relay support from my phone to my watch, a reminder app, a stopwatch, a timer, a calculator, and a calendar. Everything else for me is just extra, useful or not.
After pairing my watch to my Galaxy S7 Edge through the Gear Manager app and signing in to my Samsung Account, all of my previously purchased apps and watchfaces were available for download. This made the transition easy and seamless. There was only one app - Custom Ringtone - that wasn't available for me on the Gear S3. I'm hoping for that app to be updated to support the Gear S3 soon.
Besides for the aesthetics, the two BIGGEST reasons why I upgraded to the new Gear S3 were for the addition of Samsung Pay MST (last year's Gear S2 only supported NFC Samsung Pay) and for its bigger battery life.
I used the Gear S3 to pay for my groceries at a Smart and Final supermarket the other day and it worked flawlessly. Love it!!
And the battery life has been superb. With brightness set to 7, AOD turned on, and with Wifi, GPS, Bluetooth all turned on, I'll finish my typical 19-hour weekday with about 65 to 70% battery left. So for my usage, this watch will last 2 days before needing a charge. My old Gear S2 3G, with the same usage habits, would finish with ~35% left at the end of the day (the Gear S2 3G doesn't support true AOD).
In the end, I'm supremely happy and satisfied with the Gear S3 and I applaud Samsung for making meaningful improvements. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Better than the black model

The charger works, as advertised, to charge my phone but it is a bit flaky. After placing the phone on top of the charger and seeing that charging has started, I'll come back later to find the charger flashing on and off because charging had somehow stopped.
This white model worked better than the black model for some reason. But still reliable once in a while.
Because of this unreliability, I do not recommend this charger. Buy a newer-generation charger from Samsung or get a reputable third-party wireless charger.

Yes. You'll need to purchase a SIM card on your own as the phone doesn't come with a SIM card.

I can't speak for the other carriers but for Sprint, yes, it does offer wifi calling. The setting can be found inside the Phone app.

Can the screen be seen in direct sunlight.
Yes. Even with a glass screen protector on top of the screen, the screen is still very visible. This was a definite improvement from my Galaxy S7 Edge with a TGSP.

Can this unlocked phone use Samsung Pay? I heard last year the Note 7 was not compatible with Samsung Pay if it was an unlocked phone (not sure if that was true or not). Additionally, are there any downsides to getting it unlocked?
