The amiibo functionality itself is not terribly important to the game. You get some bonus missions which give you costumes/gear for customization. If that's your bag, then it's nice.
The amiibo quality itself is alright. The skin tone looks a bit too pale compared to the official character art, but it's ok. It's mostly the flat single color compared to the shading that the art has.
If you're on the fence, I'd lean toward "no" but if it goes on sale, then go for it.

The graphics are presented in a "pixel perfect" sorta mode, which means there's borders along all sides of the game and not just the left and right. This makes the picture feel a little small, even on the 3DS XL. But the base brightness setting is higher than the virtual console versions which make this collection more preferred.
Games like these need iterative practice so playing on portable where you can easily put down and pick up makes it ideal for taking a mental break from the game then coming back later. It's my preferred method as opposed to the console versions where you can feel compelled to keep playing for hours since you're supposedly relaxed and at home where it's easy to do that.

Lucas is a relatively simple design compared to other amiibo so I would think he's not as difficult to manufacture. He also doesn't have a backpack like Ness so there's even less chance of a bad paint job like some Ness figures got around the straps. This adds up to good consistency so you probably won't be disappointed with the quality of your figure.

Great modernization of an aging game

The four stars is for a review of the game itself and not so much product quality. There's not much to screw up in terms of workmanship unless the game was dead-on-arrival (which it wasn't).
I personally feel Ocarina of Time is a bit overrated, but it's still worth playing regardless and this is a good way to get into it. The game hasn't aged very well graphically so this and Majora's Mask 3D are great ways to play these games with a stable framerate and non-blocky graphics. If you wanted to know what all the fuss is about, this is the way to do it. I wouldn't call it the best Zelda of all time but you should still play it to broaden your experiences so you can appreciate the other games.
This particular version has been out of stock for a few years so anyone actually reading this hopefully is reading it when it's still in stock and not being scalped on ebay for undeserved prices.
