Bowie's Crowning Moment

I was saddened by Bowie's death and instantly went out to buy this disc... his final recording. I had a hard time finding it. It was sold out everywhere. Finally I found it at the third Best Buy store I tried. They had the foresight to order what looked like more than a hundred copies.
Once I listened to the album I was positively surprised. The music is excellent. Very unique, creative, original and experimental. This is Bowie at his best taking chances with new sounds always moving forward.

This is one of the very best movies I've watched in the past five years. I just loved it. It had a great sense of drama and humor combined as well as an entertaining soundtrack of music. Most poignant was when the David Bowie song appeared as I watched it shortly after Bowie's death.

David Gilmour once again has shown us why he is one of the greats of all time. This album is solid from beginning to end. Not one dud. My favorite tracks include, "Rattle That Lock," "Today" and the tribute to the late Richard Wright "A Boat Lies Waiting."

I wouldn't expect anything less than perfection from David Gilmour. First the packaging of this box set is out of this world fantastic. The blu-ray disc is a great watch with some excellent video footage. Then there's two photo books, a poster, a postcard and a great guitar pick (of course David Gilmour is one of the masters of guitar).
These treats alone are worth the cost of this Deluxe Box set... but what makes this set well worth the money is the music itself... and it's the music that makes us love David Gilmour. Every song is a standout with "Rattle That Lock" being a great new hit... it's upbeat and has a nice optimistic sound to it. "A Boat Lies Waiting" is a great tribute to the late Richard Wright.
I say buy it, you'll love it!!!

When I realized this group contained members from the bands Blondie, The Cars and The Romantics I just had to buy it. With a lineup like this you just can't lose. Every song on this album is excellent. It has a bit of an 80's meets 70's sound to it. Great guitars, drums and bass.

This second album by Of Monsters and Men is a solid effort although it sounds like a repeat of their first album "My Head Is An Animal." Though the new album has some decent songs on it none of them quite reach the creativity or captivity of "King and Lionheart," "Mountain Sound" or "Little Talks."

I've been a Guster fan ever since I heard the song "Satellite," that is such a catchy song. Ever since I have purchased all their albums and this one is probably their best. The songs are all very well produced and have texture and emotion along with good catchy hooks.
