His last studio album was released way back in 1979 and thirty eighty years later, the 90 year old Chuck Berry decided it was time to make it back to the studio.
"Chuck" was released shortly after Berry's death and what a great album it is. Berry plays the guitar with same verve and energy as back in his prime time and sings with the same enthusiastic blues power as always.
The album is filled with the great old time rock and roll we've come to expect from the legend Chuck Berry.
I discovered bleachers with their previous album and I loved it from beginning to end. Therefore I bought this new album on faith from my experience with the previous album. And as expected I am very pleased with this album it is just as good as the last album if not better. I recommend this album to anybody who enjoys pop music with an edge and some danceable moments. I will certainly by their next album.
I have been a Pink Floyd fan since 1975 and I have purchased all of David Gilmour and Roger Waters solo albums. I have enjoyed every single one of David Gilmou's solo albums from beginning to end but was always tepid about Roger Waters solo releases. But this new album by Roger Waters is excellent from the beginning to the end. This really sounds so much like an early to mid-70s Pink Floyd album and some parts and other parts remind me of whole lot of the wall. This one is well worth purchasing.
If hard rock is your game this is the album to own. Hot stuff from start to end. Omar Rodriguez-Lopez pulls out a winning production as well as giving is the hottest of hot licks on the guitar. Cedric Bicker-Zack's as always provides his most intense lead vocals yet. Now all we need is a reunion of The Mars Volta.
This is a must if you are a diehard Blondie fan. The album has 3 or 4 solid songs on it, the rest are average to weak.My favorite track is Love Level, that one alone is worth the price of purchase.
John Legend has been around for quite sometime but I have only recently found an interest in his work. This is the first album by him that I have purchased and I am more than pleased with the fine musicianship and Legend's outstanding vocals.
