Nice collection if purchased cheap

This was sometimes given away with the 9000 series Samsung TVs, which is great, but it was badly overpriced if purchased standalone. When I bought my TV it wasn't given away for free and I didn't want to pay full price. But eventually the price came down as supply greatly exceeded demand and I grabbed one before they were discontinued when it was one of Best Buy's Deals of the Day. I probably would not have purchased if it wasn't so cheap on that one day. It hit a price point that I just couldn't say no to. I don't recommend unless you can get a great deal on it, too.
That said, the 4K movies on the drive look excellent (the Star Trek movies in particular) and make me want to buy more 4K content. I do wish there was some 3D content on the drive though, to fully show off the 9000 series' capabilities. There's also quite a bit of free space on the drive for additional movies to be added by connecting it to a PC, but I'm not sure what video and audio formats it supports (might be TV model specific) and the user manual sheet doesn't really explain which ones or how.

What formats are those movies? Can I watch those movies on PC or other 4K TV's besides only Samsung TV's?
Are those movies in mkv format and can I access the content and watch those movies from my PC? Thanks,
The video format is extension um4, which seems to be proprietary to Samsung. They probably can't be viewed by other TVs or PCs.

Can I store files? What is the leftover storage space>?
Yes, the content it comes with uses only approximately 511GB of the formatted 931GB space.

Will this work with a Sony 4K
I have a Sony 4 K will this work with that tv
As an external drive, probably so (requires USB 3.0 though). Probably can't view the videos though as the format seems to be proprietary.

That other UHD tv brands does it work with?
Sony or LG?
As an external hard drive, probably so (requires USB 3.0 though). To view the movies, probably not - the video format seems to be proprietary.
