Bring your real hands into virtual environments with this pair of controllers for Oculus Rift. Natural gestures and finger movements create a sense of true hand presence for more realistic, memorable, and tactile VR. Constellation tracking lets you manipulate objects in your virtual environment with extraordinary precision. This is an Oculus Rift accessory only. Rift headset sold separately.

This should have originally came with the Rift

The necessary controls for the Rift came way too late. Not only are they better than the Vive's controllers, but they literally feel awesome in your hand. With that said, I can't help but think that these are over-glorified evolutionary Wiimotes. Remember when the Nintendo Wii came out? Motion controls were the talk of the town and it was fun.................. until it wasn't fun anymore and now I have my Wii, Wiimote and Wii Nunchuck collecting dust.
CONS: The Touch controllers sealed the deal for me that the Rift is concentrating mostly in games that gave me horrible Xbox One Kinect and Wii flashbacks. Also, not all games make use of the touch controllers. Why? Well, it's sad to see that the Rift (the VR headset that made a push for VR initially) is the last runner up to the big 3 headsets out there (Sony, Rift and Vive).
PROS: These are definitely the best motion controllers amongst the 3 top headsets out there. If FPS games with creepy floating hands holding weapons is your thing, you'll love the Touch controllers. Probably the best motion controllers I've ever used (yet)!
Conclusion: The Touch completes the Rift and it should have come with the unit (at NO additional cost). At the end of the day, I can't help but think that these controllers (along with VR headsets) are just an evolution of motion control gimmicks (from Wii, to Kinect, to..... VR).

Experience the lifelike thrill of virtual reality with the Oculus Rift. The remote, OLED display and IR LED sensor help you navigate through virtual worlds, while rotational and positional tracking let you play exclusive games like Lucky's Tale. The clear, high resolution on the Oculus Rift takes you even closer to reality.

It's just not there yet.

I went from alpha testing the Oculus when it was called the DK1 (Developer Kit 1) to the PSVR (decent, but, unfortunately, you really DO get what you pay for), to the Oculus Rift. I generally game on a 1440p Gsync IPS monitor which is roughly 2.5ft away from my face. So that's as close to immersion as it gets without a VR headset for me. The problem with the Rift are the following:
CONS:
-The resolution isn't exactly the best (screen door effect)
-Motion sickness is real.
-LACK OF CONTENT. Sure, there are over VR titles in the Steam Library, but a majority of them are either Early Access or glorified tech demos.
-Motion controls give you that wow factor for a few days until you realize that most of the games involve holding a gun or picking things up
Cut to the Chase: VR just isn't there yet. I'm running this thing on a GTX 1080 and an i7 4790K (oc'd to 4.6Ghz) and the graphics are what you would expect to see from 'medium' settings at best. And oh that "screen door effect". You almost have to lie to yourself that it isn't there.
Lastly: The reason the PSVR is outselling the Vive and Rift is because of a) Its price point and b) Sony KNOWS that the PSVR will work as expected out of the box if you have a PS4. Catering to the PC gamer is a very difficult task. It's why AAA game developers hire a 3rd party to create PC ports of games that were originally designed for consoles.
Even with the price drop ($598 from $799 for the bundle), you can't help but think that the tussle between Zenimax and Facebook will ever end. But if you were a game developer and saw this drama with Facebook, why would you want to gamble and spend resources in developing a game for the Oculus Rift.

Pleasantly surprised (coming from an Oculus user)

So I returned my Oculus Rift after roughly 10 days with it and was left with buyer's remorse (even with the price drop, it still didn't convince me). The Rift does have superior motion tracking and controllers but there just wasn't enough CONTENT to take advantage of the pricey VR headset. So I returned it. In comes the PS4 VR. I was going in with low expectations since I was told many times that it was the inferior of the popular 3 that were out there (the HTC Vive being the other) and I was pleasantly surprised. The immersion of most of the games definitely gave you this "wow factor". And you absolutely must play this with headphones because it completes the immersion of using the headset. I'll break it down to Pros and Cons
PROS:
-Cheapest of the popular 3 VR headsets out there but not really much of a compromise since the image quality is roughly the same
-The "screen door effect" isn't as noticeable as it was in the Oculus Rift
-CONTENT (aka: games)!!!
-Easiest VR headset to put on and take off. The Rift was like putting on a helmet and taking it off was a pain if you had to go to the bathroom
-The immersion and wow factor is almost immediate once you get the focus down for your eyes
CONS
-To maintain a high framerate (necessary to reduce motion sickness), the games look like they are dumbed down a LOT.
-If you played Resident Evil 7 without VR, the VR version truly compromises the graphics fidelity to keep the framerate up
-The 'games' seem like tech demos. The only real game that felt like a GAME was Resident Evil 7
-Setup can be a pain. So many wires. Only the HTC Vive has more wires and gadgets involved to set this thing up
-The headset will make your PS4 heat up quickly. Don't be surprised if you hear your PS4's internal fans blaring loudly
Overall: At this price point, you can't go wrong. It's the weakest of the 3 popular VR headsets out there but the overall, the value proposition outweighs the other 2. When I had the Oculus Rift, I dropped $600 but it only worked well because my PC gaming rig cost about $1500 to build. If you already own a PS4, this is probably the most budget conscientious route to go since it goes more for a casual approach. Plus, if you have your PS4 connected to a TV, it makes for a better social gimmick since everyone in the room can see what you're seeing in the headset. Definitely a great product to own!

Best 4K TV I've used yet
on January 23, 2017
Posted by: vespa731
from South San Francisco, CA
Verified Purchase:Yes
PROS:
-Excellent upscaler
-Very sharp and vivid colors
-Very light
-4 HDMI ports (of which 2 are noteworthy, see CONS)
-Decent price. A TV this size 2yrs ago would've been about $1500 easily
-Color representation is top notch
-Onboard speakers are decent
CONS:
-Dim screen, I have to set contrast and gamma levels to MAX just to see the content on the screen
-If you have a 4K HDR streaming device you'd like to connect, you can only use HDMI port 2 and 3
-To view 4K HDR content via a streaming device through HDMI ports 2 and 3, you have to manually set them to 'enhanced' or your device will not output the content properly
-The onboard Android TV system for the Sony Bravia is very limited. You can't even view 4K content at 60fps. The TV's onboard YouTube app seems to only output 1080p MAX. You need to use an external streaming device to output 4K HDR content at a proper 60fps (you'll notice this when you go to YouTube and attempt to view 4K 60fps videos via the built-in Android TV, you'll only see 1080p as an option for video quality). Thankfully, I still had my Nvidia Shield that outputs 4K HDR content quite well.
Conclusion: Every TV has its quirks. I honestly think this is one of the best 4K TVs I've ever used (I've setup quite a few of my friends' and family member's 4K TVs that were more expensive than this one yet didn't really grasp my attention). The visuals are very sharp. My only gripe is that there's this bug where only HDMI ports 2 and 3 can output 4K HDR at 60fps. Why HDMI ports 1 and 4 are not equally set to that is beyond my comprehension. Lastly, if you own a Playstation 4, in an unsurprising manner - games look fantastic on the Sony Bravia (as opposed to my Samsung 4K HDR 40" TV). Just a suggestion here, any 4K TV less that 49"-50" is a waste of money UNLESS you are really sitting up close to the TV. This 49" is large enough where you can notice the resolution and clarity.

Great for movies/YouTube but average gamestreamer
on January 18, 2017
Posted by: vespa731

Verified Purchase:Yes
If you were expecting an extension of your PC rig to a TV in another room of your house, you either have to a) Make sure you have a very strong Wifi connection or b) a very long Ethernet cable to your main modem. Why? Well, as a media streamer, this box is quite nifty. HOWEVER, it does the same exact things that an Xbox One S does (4K and HDR) and a Roku Ultra box (same thing, 4K and HDR at about a 35% cheaper price point). But one of the major reasons I bought this thing initially was for Nvidia's Gamestream technology. It's not there yet. Even when wired directly to the main modem, the streaming is choppy at best.
Note: I'm running an i7 4790K with a GTX 1080 GPU - more than enough horsepower to run at least 1080p at 60fps. When streaming games from my rig to my 4K TV, even with 'excellent' Wifi signal, Nvidia will force all settings during in-game stream to a very low resolution and boost all the anti-aliasing up. Thankfully I had a keyboard connected to the Shield to keep all my settings in check. The result is a very choppy experience. You almost have to game at 720p just to play a somewhat smooth framerate on your 4K TV (as it does the upscaling for you resulting in a very blurry picture).
And re-purchasing games from GeForce Experience (when you already bought the same games via Steam) just so you can download it onto your Shield is another waste of money. Why? You're buying an Android version of the game to play on your Shield. The Shield's processor is as powerful as some mid-tier level tablets on the market (that's right, a TABLET processor) so don't expect PC-like performance.'
Bottom line, if you're just looking for a nice streamer to watch 4K/HDR content, there are cheaper alternatives out there (like Roku). If you have a gaming console, you should check to see if the manufacturer already released 4K/HDR software already. The vanilla PS4 just recently got a patch to show HDR content. And those who already own an Xbox One S, you know that the 4K and HDR streaming via that thing is excellent already. Save your money. If you're intending to game with this thing, do not expect PC-like performance. Even some of my last gen consoles perform better than this gadget gamestreaming from my powerful PC rig. I'm probably better off using a very long HDMI cable to connect my PC directly to my 4K TV in the other room.

Quiet, beast of a GPU, and surprisingly low temps!

I decided to wait till the hype on this GPU went down (that and the availability of it was scarce during launch). I was coming from a GTX 980ti Hybrid and the watercooling on it sort of spoiled me. Which is why I was skeptical about getting a GPU with it's own custom cooler on it. One thing you'll need to be aware about a GPU with onboard fan coolers is that you're dispersing the heat from within the case. So I immediately flipped a few case fans to serve as exhaust fans to blow the heat outside of my case. But here's the kicker, this card remains amazingly COOL! Through many hours of Battlefield 1 and Dishonored 2, this GPU never hovered beyond 65C. That's friggin' good. And the fans are so quiet that even if you manually blast them at 100%, it still sounds pleasantly quiet. The performance is spectacular on a 1440p monitor. On 4K, you can run most games at low to medium settings and probably get away with 50+ fps average. Overall, at the price I got it for ($730 approximately), it was well worth the purchase. Do NOT get a "Founder's Edition" card. No way should anyone pay premium prices for a "reference card".

Compatibility issues with Samsung 4K TVs
on December 7, 2016
Posted by: vespa731
from South San Francisco, CA
Verified Purchase:Yes
I don't know what it is with this product, but even when I have it plugged into HDMI1 of my 4K TV (which is usually the main input for 4K HDR), the TV seems to not sense it and flips the default resolution to simply 4K instead of 4K UHD HDR. Here's another thing, it does NOT come with a 2.2 rated HDMI cable. The output seems to flip flop triggering my Samsung TV to flicker because the Roku box is either going into HDR mode or reverting back to regular non-HDR 4K. You can't just use any cable too if you're intending to watch content in 4K. All in all, it's a good media player but it didn't really do the trick on my Samsung 6300 4K TV. I already own an Xbox One S and now I just use that as my regular streamer. I really wanted to like this thing. I have 2 of them on my 1080p televisions in my house. But as a 4K streamer, this isn't the box I was looking for (especially at this price, which is a tad too high).

In a matter of days, the Kingdom of Lucis is to sign an armistice, ending a long and bitter conflict with Niflheim. Ahead of the ceremony, Prince Noctis, heir to the Lucian throne, sets forth from his homeland to formalize the union of states through his marriage to the Lady Lunafreya of the imperial province of Tenebrae. The offer of peace, however, is no more than a ruse to lower the Lucian shield, and the imperial army takes the crown city and its sacred crystal in one fell swoop. En route to his destination, Noctis is shocked to learn that he, his father the king, and his betrothed are believed dead. Overnight, the dream of peace has faded into a distant memory. His world crumbling around him, Noctis has naught but his resolve and his loyal companions to see him through the trials to come. This item cannot be returned or refunded, please visit Best Buy Return Policy to learn more.

XBO's blurry version was enough to buy this
on December 1, 2016
Posted by: vespa731

Verified Purchase:Yes
I initially got Final Fantasy 15 on the Xbox One and within an hour of gameplay, I was done. The PS4 version of this game is the more detailed and sharper of the versions available. I do not have a bias towards any console or platform since I own all possible ones (I have a PC gaming rig, an Xbox One S and a PS4). FFXV on the Xbox One was so blurry to the point where it hurt my eyes just attempting to guage on the combat with all the blurry textures. The PS4 version appears to be a lot sharper BUT at the cost of frame pacing. You will see some stutters here and there and occasional hiccups. But coming from a PC gamer's viewpoint, that's a small sacrifice to pay for great visuals and a stable framerate. The Xbox One version has the more stable framerate of the two, but at the cost of heavy anti-aliasing and only a 900p max resolution (which means the PS4 version's lowest resolution is the Xbox One's max!). If you're a Final Fantasy fan and don't want to squint when playing, get the PS4 version. You won't regret it.

Very BLURRY compared to PS4 & PC version
on November 30, 2016
Posted by: vespa731

Verified Purchase:Yes
I own a PS4 and a PC. I have this game for both. Since I have 2 4K TVs, I have the PS4 on 1 of them and my Xbox One S on my other 4K TV. And let me tell you that the more games I play on Xbox One, the less I want to turn it on. Why? Well, XBO's native 720p or 900p games doesn't exactly upscale too well to 1080p let alone 4K. I've played Battlefront on the PC (which is the best visually looking version as well as fluid at 100+ fps), and I've played it on PS4 (still gorgeous but at a locked 60fps).
The XBO version had to be the worst looking version of all the copies I own of this game. Something about XBO using too much anti-aliasing. In this case, it appears that XBO is using heavy FXAA and it looks like vaseline has been smeared on your screen resulting in a lot of blurry textures. It still runs smooth at 60fps but oh at what a cost to the visuals. It's not very pleasant to look at vs. the PC & PS4 versions. I will say that this is probably one game on my XBO that I will uninstall. I just don't understand how some games look gorgeous on the XBO and then there are AAA games like Battlefront that look very mediocre and borderline atrocious.

Great bargain, but slow hard drive is its weakness

This is the version of the Xbox One that should have been released. The huge box of a behemoth that the first Xbox One came out with was horrific and was not conscientious of spacing in a television area. With that being said, the console provides HDR and a 4K upscale feature (something that my PS4 lacked and did a poor job in upscaling). You get a generous 1TB hard drive, HOWEVER, it's a 5400 RPM mechanical hard drive! So if you're used to SSDs or something slightly faster (like a 7200rpm hard drive) downloading a game will take forever. Even when connected directly via Ethernet, downloading games was just a chore. I'd say it took about 3+ days to finally download the 12 games I currently own onto this thing. Other than that, it's a great console to own.

Has anyone used this device (Roku - Ultra Streaming) paired with a Samsung 4k TV to watch UHD movies on VUDU? The Roku 4 is supposed to work but I would like to purchase the Ultra instead. Thank-You

If you notice, the Roku 4 is no longer featured on Roku's site. One of the drawbacks for that model was lack of HDR capabilities. I have the Roku Ultra and it definitely has an option to use HDR onto your HDR capable TV. Note: My TV has HDR set to 'on' so this might be something to take into consideration. The Roku won't magically provide HDR to a 4K TV that doesn't support HDR.

There's insane, and then there's the GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition graphics card. The Nvidia Pascal architecture delivers incredible raw graphical processing power exactly when you need it so that you can see every last bit of detail at extraordinary frame rates. Drive VR, multiple monitors and virtually everything else with the GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition graphics card.

So is BestBuy EVER going to get these cards "in stock" ... almost 1 month later and BestBuy isn't stocking this item? Why? It's available in many other online stores ... I'd like to use BestBuy since they are local, but no stock?

It's been "out of stock" in a lot of places. The reason for the shortage is due to the lack of resources to supply the demand of Pascal components. Plus Nvidia always seems to release "just enough" of their latest and greatest cards out there. I know your question is over a month old, but now.................... Founder's Edition cards are everywhere. The reason? Not everyone wants to buy a reference card that has a fancy label (Founder's Edition) slapped onto them. There are so many non-reference card (and cheaper) alternatives out there.

Is this the Corsair Vengeance K70 Mechanical keyboard or just the K70?

This is the K70 non-RGB version. It has one color for LEDs: RED. If you want the RGB version, you're looking at over $150+ for the option to have choice when it comes to LED colors.

Does this K70 have the old or blacked out Corsair logo?

I know they've decided to roll out more of the RGB model with the old logo, but I was wondering if this keyboard, model CH-9000069-NA, has the old logo as well. A review on this product page was complaining about it having the new logo, although the picture here and on the Corsair website show the blacked out old logo. I just want to know for sure what I'm buying before I buy it.

Thanks!
I have the CH-9000069-NA and bought it at Best Buy. It has the new logo. It's purely aesthetic and sits near the F7 and F8 keys.

Enjoy your favorite games in brilliant clarity with this EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Superclocked ACX 2.0 04G-P4-2983-KR graphics card, which features NVIDIA Adaptive VSync, CUDA and Dynamic Super Resolution technologies for clear, detailed images.

When will this item be back in stock?

It's a 50/50 shot, to be honest. I actually saw this card available for purchase one day and I immediately completed the order online. By the end of the day, it was sold out. I think this manufacturer only gives a finite amount of items per month. Your best bet is to keep visiting the site till you see that it's available all of a sudden. The GTX 980 has been in heavy demand as of late. You may want to just pursue the FTW version (which is technically $10 more than the SC version and slightly overclocked even more) or go all out and get the Classified version).
