The best BT wireless headphones I've ever owned
on August 16, 2018
Posted by: vespa731
from South San Francisco, CA
Verified Purchase:Yes
Pros: The sound quality is amazing. The mids and highs compliment the bass beautifully. It's not muddied up by over-doing the bass. You can use the Sony Connect app via your phone to change the EQ settings to your liking.
Cons: Non-replaceable battery. I'm sure this will last a good 1-2 years but it really is an inconvenience not to give your consumers the option to replace the battery themselves. The app can be janky at times. I've had to customize the headphones with the app to make it sound the way I want it to sound AND turn off the annoying ambient control alerts.
Overall thoughts: The only reason I got this is because Best Buy managed to have a sale to drop $50 off the price. These are a very expensive pair of BT headphones but they're so worth it. I found myself having them on my head or around my neck almost every day. The noise canceling along with great audio (sounds great wired and wireless) makes this one of the best pair of wireless cans I've ever owned.

Best non-frills / non-flashy gaming mouse

At this price, it's really hard to complain with what you get. You get a mixture of speed and control with this mat. All with a ton of real estate coverage on your desk. I like having both my keyboard and mouse on the pad so it makes for a very nice and clean setup on my desk.
Pros:
-Inexpensive
-Mixture of speed and control surface
-Very simple design
Cons:
-Chemical smell
-Takes a while to get the thing truly flat. You may need to put some weighted items on it over night to get it flat

It's an emulator & doesn't play cartridges
on February 3, 2018

Verified Purchase:Yes
Buying this thing had its pros and cons. The pros involve a decent lineup of preinstalled games. The cons is that this is merely an emulator and the plastic casing that 'looks' like the original SNES is just that. The front is just a plastic cover that flicks downward so you can connect the controller (which is as big as the console itself). The biggest disappointment is that this thing doesn't actually have a real cartridge bay. So if you had cartridges you wanted to insert into this thing to bring back nostalgia from your childhood, think again. Other than that, the games that do exist in this emulator are decent (like Super Metroid and Street Fighter Turbo). I just think $79.99 is quite a price tag for an emulator cased inside plastic that is as big as the palm of your hand.

The Rival 600 introduces gamers to an advanced dual-sensor system, TrueMove3+. The TrueMove3 optical sensor delivers true 1-to-1 tracking, while a dedicated optical depth sensor achieves very low and accurate lift off distance detection. Plus, custom center-of-gravity tuning with 256 weight configurations makes the Rival 600 a must-have for competitive gaming.

Quite a wide & heavy mouse
on February 3, 2018
Posted by: vespa731

Verified Purchase:Yes
Compared to the SteelSeries Rival 310, this actually felt like a step back for a mouse. It has 2 sensors. One of them being a customized PMW 3360 (they call it TrueMove 3). Aside from that, it 'looks' like a DeathAdder with a slimmer front (not flared out). It's a very well balanced mouse but the grip is very wide in the middle for some reason. I really had a tough time doing flick shots and quick swipes due to how large this mouse is. There are a lot of reviews that are praising this mouse and maybe this led to my disappointment. Overall, at 96-98 grams (its lightest weight without the extra weights), it's just not that easy to use versus the Rival 310 (which is about $20 cheaper) where it's almost 10+ grams lights and quite smaller and easier to flick aim and shoot with. This is worth about $59.99 but at $79.99, you're hovering around decent mice like the G703 or G903 which perform even better withOUT a wire (wireless). Give it a shot. My 18cm hands just didn't find the Rival 600 very practical to use in FPS games.

Excellent sensor, but it's quite heavy in the rear

I really wanted to like this mouse. I thought it would replace my G403 and make me want to use Razer products again. Despite using they Razer Synapse software again just to use this mouse (I used to use the DA:Chroma regularly), the mouse was quite responsive and very comfortable to grip. HOWEVER, this mouse is quite hefty despite the advertised 104g weight on the box. Theoretically, the DA:Elite is about the same weight but the weight distribution of that mouse makes it feel light than the implementation on the Lancehead. I could aim quite well but the back of the mouse was pointing my mouse upward whenever I picked and swiped. Lastly, THE SIDE BUTTONS: they are mushy and have quite the pre-travel when actuating them. They remind me of the side buttons of the Zowie EC2-A series only these buttons are slim and quite spongey. Overall, for $80 (wired!) I was expecting maybe something that was more balanced and not as heavy. Too bad :-( I (refunded the mouse shortly after).

Not bad for a wireless gaming mouse
on September 18, 2017
Posted by: vespa731
from South San Francisco, CA
Verified Purchase:Yes
PROS:
-Aesthetically please (the black and white look is awesome)
-Best click latency in the business
-Top notch sensor
-The M1/M2 clicks are ever so satisfying
-Is very responsive considering that this is a wireless mouse. There seems to be no lag or delay at all whatsoever
CONS:
-I would never use this for competitive FPS games. I use a G403 w/o the weight lid and that mouse is roughly 88 grams. The G703 is 107 grams with no weight or weight lid. So it's slightly on the hefty side
-the PRICE. Good gawd. $99 for a mouse? My mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Red switches costs less than this mouse.
-the PRICE
-oh and did I mention the PRICE?

You actually saved money with this pre-built rig
on April 7, 2017
Posted by: vespa731
from South San Francisco, CA
Verified Purchase:Yes
I generally build my own rigs but after doing thorough research and using sites to calculate how much it will cost to buy the parts to build this thing, you actually save money. The CPU and GPU alone will cost over $1000. Not only do you get a 7700K (the 'K' designation allows you to overclock the CPU), but you get the best GPU in the market (aside from the next coming of the Titan X) in the market today. Throw that in with Windows 10 (which is another pricey OS to add to the whole build), and you actually save money.
PROS:
-CPU is top notch - i7 7700K
-GPU - one of the fastest cards as of today - 1080 Ti
-Motherboard - You get an Asus Z270-K Prime
-16GB of DDR4 RAM
-Cable management is clean
-Lighting gimmicks are nice (if you like the color red)
-See through panels are made out of real glass! (not plastic)
-CPU is watercooled!
-compact mid-size tower, very compact
CONS
-Only 3+ fans (you may want to add an extra fan on the open vent at the top
-GPU is a reference card. The reference cooler for the 1080 Ti is okay but it gets really loud when the GPU temps hit around 65C. You may need to use a GPU overclocking software to establish a decent fan curve
-the bays for extra drives are very cramped, but manageable
-the 7200RPM 3TB mechanical drive is nice to have, but this is a standard mechanical hard drive
-you'll need to fiddle with the BIOS to overclock the CPU
-the WD SSD has a blue and white sticker on it. Unless you remove it, it actually contradicts the color scheme of the lighting (red)
Overall, you save about a good $300+ with this pre-built PC rig (not to mention, you save yourself time and effort). It's fast, probably overkill for the setup I have now (I run a 1440p Gsync monitor with this thing), but quite a beast of a rig for gaming (or productivity). Definitely worth it!

Excellent mouse. It's very slippery to grip though
on March 24, 2017

I wanted to try an even lighter mouse than my Logitech G403. So I went ahead and decided to go with the G Pro. So, I have the type of hands that never get sweaty during a gaming session. I generally find mice that have a matte finish of some sort really hard to grip. If only the G Pro had rubberized textured sides like the G403, this thing would be a lot easier to grip. I can flick shots really well with the G Pro. The only problem is I'm having such a hard time keeping the mouse from slipping in the middle of a game that it'll cost me a life or two. Another thing is I have a relaxed clawgrip and after only 20 minutes of using the G Pro, my right pinky finger was really sore.
If you have small hands and like really light mice (only 83g), this mouse is for you. I have 18cm hands However, if you have hands that are generally dry and don't sweat, holding this thing is like holding a slippery egg. Lastly, the braided cable is very stiff. You have to break it in a little bit just to give it a little flexibility.

Stream your favorite TV shows and movies straight to your TV with the Roku Ultra. It has voice search to make finding your next binge easier, and it's compatible with 4K Ultra HD displays for crystal-clear picture quality. The Roku Ultra includes a lost remote finder so you never have to search the couch cushions again.

Has anyone used this device (Roku - Ultra Streaming) paired with a Samsung 4k TV to watch UHD movies on VUDU? The Roku 4 is supposed to work but I would like to purchase the Ultra instead. Thank-You

If you notice, the Roku 4 is no longer featured on Roku's site. One of the drawbacks for that model was lack of HDR capabilities. I have the Roku Ultra and it definitely has an option to use HDR onto your HDR capable TV. Note: My TV has HDR set to 'on' so this might be something to take into consideration. The Roku won't magically provide HDR to a 4K TV that doesn't support HDR.

There's insane, and then there's the GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition graphics card. The Nvidia Pascal architecture delivers incredible raw graphical processing power exactly when you need it so that you can see every last bit of detail at extraordinary frame rates. Drive VR, multiple monitors and virtually everything else with the GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition graphics card.

So is BestBuy EVER going to get these cards "in stock" ... almost 1 month later and BestBuy isn't stocking this item? Why? It's available in many other online stores ... I'd like to use BestBuy since they are local, but no stock?

It's been "out of stock" in a lot of places. The reason for the shortage is due to the lack of resources to supply the demand of Pascal components. Plus Nvidia always seems to release "just enough" of their latest and greatest cards out there. I know your question is over a month old, but now.................... Founder's Edition cards are everywhere. The reason? Not everyone wants to buy a reference card that has a fancy label (Founder's Edition) slapped onto them. There are so many non-reference card (and cheaper) alternatives out there.

Defeat virtual enemies with this Corsair K70 keyboard that features Cherry MX Red mechanical switches that offer smooth, linear response and minimal noise for enhanced gameplay. The brushed-aluminum chassis offers durability.

Is this the Corsair Vengeance K70 Mechanical keyboard or just the K70?

This is the K70 non-RGB version. It has one color for LEDs: RED. If you want the RGB version, you're looking at over $150+ for the option to have choice when it comes to LED colors.

Defeat virtual enemies with this Corsair K70 keyboard that features Cherry MX Red mechanical switches that offer smooth, linear response and minimal noise for enhanced gameplay. The brushed-aluminum chassis offers durability.

Does this K70 have the old or blacked out Corsair logo?

I know they've decided to roll out more of the RGB model with the old logo, but I was wondering if this keyboard, model CH-9000069-NA, has the old logo as well. A review on this product page was complaining about it having the new logo, although the picture here and on the Corsair website show the blacked out old logo. I just want to know for sure what I'm buying before I buy it.

Thanks!
I have the CH-9000069-NA and bought it at Best Buy. It has the new logo. It's purely aesthetic and sits near the F7 and F8 keys.

Enjoy your favorite games in brilliant clarity with this EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Superclocked ACX 2.0 04G-P4-2983-KR graphics card, which features NVIDIA Adaptive VSync, CUDA and Dynamic Super Resolution technologies for clear, detailed images.

When will this item be back in stock?

It's a 50/50 shot, to be honest. I actually saw this card available for purchase one day and I immediately completed the order online. By the end of the day, it was sold out. I think this manufacturer only gives a finite amount of items per month. Your best bet is to keep visiting the site till you see that it's available all of a sudden. The GTX 980 has been in heavy demand as of late. You may want to just pursue the FTW version (which is technically $10 more than the SC version and slightly overclocked even more) or go all out and get the Classified version).
