This film was... weird. I picked it up on a whim not knowing any more about it than what was written in the cover. The acting was sub-par and it is pretty much predictable as anything *vague spoilers* (girls go on vacation to party, they go trampling through the jungle to sight see off the beaten path, someone gets bit, everything falls apart and chaos ensues). And there's goo... lots and lots of goo. This is sort of reminiscent of the Fly but not as high class. An Indie creature feature that isn't bad to watch if you're not looking for too much as far as plot. And if you like goo. I'll mark this as I would recommend it to a friend only because they don't have a "meh" button to choose from. (Basically I can't say I wouldn't recommend it to the right person.)

This movie was creepy and suspenseful. I read a couple of reviews of it online and it looked rather intriguing. I hadn't even remembered seeing it advertised when it originally came out in 2001 but thought I'd take a chance getting it. This is just a good creepy, scary tale. Well worth the watch.

Very good series. I really enjoy Guillermo del Toro & Chuck Hogans work. They have taken the vampire story in a direction it had not been before. It has more of a science fiction flavor to it rather than strictly horror.

Nice film, it was a little odd not seeing Snow White in the film although she's referenced quite often. I loved the special effects and I truly enjoyed the story. It definitely fleshed out the Huntsman's character and history. I thought it was interesting that this takes place before and after the first film. That was an interesting twist. I liked the characters there was adventure, humor, drama and fun all rolled up in this movie which made it a pleasure to watch.

This was one I purchased because the cover looked interesting and the price was right. I thought that it was beautiful as far as the special effect went. The whole thing seemed magical/mythical in a way. It ended right where you wanted to know what happens next though and I suspect there isn't a sequel. It left me wondering what I just watched because the story wasn't really there. It would make a good prequel to an actual movie with a good plot line because it gives you a vague overview of the people in this world.
If you like pretty effects and something nice to look at give it a try, if you are looking for a good plot this probably isn't one you want to see.

I got this because there were a couple of actors/actresses I had seen in other films and I liked (Shauna Macdonald & Sean Pertwee) and thought I'd give the movie a try. It was a good film. I liked that the werewolves weren't the typical monsters that have been seen before. I thought it was a rather straightforward werewolf movie (what you see & read on the cover is basically what you get.)

I knew NOTHING about this movie going in. I guess I was expecting Keanu Reeves in one of his usual macho/butt-kicking character roles and he so wasn't in this film. I watched it once and immediately had to put in John Wick to watch because he was totally emasculated in this film. I gave this one away after one viewing because I was so sorry I got it.

Great Classic Movie

I am a big sci-fi fan and this is one of the best science fiction films out there. It was pretty much ahead of it's time when it was made and I'm not sure it was completely appreciated at the time. This set has four versions (of the 7 that were done) of the film on it and a hole disc of extras. If you enjoy this movie it's definitely worth getting.

I purchased the movie because I've seen the actress who plays the main character, Beth Riesgraf, in Leverage and liked her in that. I didn't know anything about this movie other than what I read on the back cover of the box. It was an interesting film, a little creepy in parts but over all good. There are some violent moments in it.
