Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's wild homage to the exploitation flicks of yesteryear comes home completely uncut, and with each of its deliriously twisted "fake" trailers present and accounted for.

If you are a Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez fan get this. It's their homage to the 1970's double feature. It is simply over the top, grisly, inappropriate, perverse, gory fun as no one but these two can create.

Interesting premise that might have gone well except it sort of turns into every other haunting/possession film you've seen in the past and therein is the problem. It had potential with the autistic child being more tuned in/susceptible to the supernatural but the plot becomes ho-hum because there really wasn't anything new to it other than that. I thought the alternate ending was actually better than the theatrical version. Okay film if you aren't looking for anything new.
Would I recommend this? Ehhh... it's hard to say. It wasn't bad just fairly predictable. If you like this kind of thing go for it, just look for it on sale or in the bargain bin.

Saw this in the store and knew Josh Stewart was in it. Thought it might be something like the Collector films so I thought I'd try it out. Started watching it and this character come on the screen & I'm thinking 'this guy reminds me of Bill Engvall, can't be him though...' Nope it was him. He does a really good job as the creepy/bizarre red neck neighbor who is way more than he seems. Worth the watch for his performance alone. This isn't going to be a classic necessarily but for what it is, it's good.

I enjoyed the first movie 28 day later and had been looking for the sequel. This movie was different enough from the first but kept the basic premise intact. Where as the first film kind of stuck with the main character and two others this one dealt more with the familial side of what could happen. It's a zombie film and it has it's fair share of gore. If you liked the original and you enjoy zombie flicks this is a fair movie to watch.

I watched this years ago and it scared the living daylights out of me. (I literally gave away the vhs tape.) Recently I found it on a list of movies and read more about it and found the premise intriguing. I had the opportunity to view it again and decided I needed to own it. It's still scary as heck but for different reasons. The gory scenes go by in flashes & you really don't see much unless you watch the behind the scenes features on the disc. That being said the movie has a lot of suspense to it and a certain amount of intelligence to the plot I think. I now find Event Horizon is disturbingly good.

Again I got this because I had seen Josh Stewart in other stuff and liked him as an actor. This movie picks up where the first one (the Collector) left off. The special effects were better than in the first movie but again the plot wasn't the greatest. However this series is basically a gore-fest which is what these movies are made for. If you like that kind of movie and if you enjoyed the first movie then you'll enjoy this one too.

I got this because it had Josh Stewart in it and I liked him in other stuff I've seen him in. This movie (and it's sequel 'the Collection') are somewhat reminiscent of the Saw franchise but not on quite the same level. This is a little more low budget. The plot line is loose and there are holes in it. On the other hand the bad guy is just bad, he does what he does because he likes it not because he is trying to teach anyone anything. Read the outside of the box and this film is basically what you see is what you get. Don't expect a lot out of it and you'll enjoy it well enough.

This movie really (really) got panned and admittedly it isn't great cinema. When you combine Spaghetti Western a-la Zombie flick you aren't necessarily expecting a lot I wouldn't think. However if you are looking for a mild romp through the dessert killing zombies for revenge it's okay.
Would I recommend it, yes. Just don't expect much.

I vaguely remembered seeing this years ago and thought it was good then. I can't say that it's a fabulous film but it is an interesting tale that, at the time it was made, had a different twist to the typical vampire story. I enjoyed David Bowie in this. It seemed a bit campy but I think that's because its 20+ years old now. Place it in the oldies-but-goodies column and enjoy it for what it is.

I purchased this one because it's an oldie but goody that I could finally get on bluray. It is a unique and (at least for me) memorable 1970's sci-fi film. It isn't high budget but it is enjoyable. If you're looking for laser shoot-em up space adventure this isn't it. It has an interesting message and begs the question what would you do if you were in the main characters place. It comes across a little hokey at times but I think that's part of it's charm.
