Easy, light, portable projector

The LG MiniBeam is an easy to use and very versatile portable projector. With wireless screen share and bluetooth enabled audio it is super simple to cast almost any device that you would like, the HDMI input allows you to hook up more traditional devices as well. The hook-ups and screen share are easy to access and easy to use. With an included battery that is capable of lasting up to 4 hours it allows you to use this projector completely wirelessly by simply screen casting from your phone or tablet and using a bluetooth enabled speaker for sound.
Overall this is a very good device for what it does, it is capable of being completely portable and it's super small size make it very easy to transport and use wherever you need to. The projector's battery is very capable of allowing you to just set up and use the projector wherever you need to without having to worry about plugging it in. This is an HD projector so only capable of 720p but the image is clear and decently lit if used in a dark area, it will get washed out like most projectors in a well lit area.

Jabra has outdone themselves with these earbuds, known primarily for their wireless headsets, Jabra has once again put out a truly amazing pair of earbuds meant not only for wireless calls, but also for an amazing music experience. The Jabra Elite 65t is among Jabra's first foray into truly wireless earbuds and they have nailed it with this product. With crystal clear sound quality, simply outrageous 5 hour battery time, with another 15 hours by quickly recharging in the included charging case these earbuds will sound amazing all day long. The charging case is made to seriously stand up to some abuse as well as keep your earbuds from disappearing without a trace (they are small). Speaking of the earbud size, they are just the right size to fit your ears and with the 3 different sizes of ear caps to fit your ear canals without causing pain or discomfort for long music sessions.
The earbuds are able to work with either iPhone or Android devices allowing you to place and take calls with voice commands as well as many other functions available depending on device. The available app allows you to customize how much sound to allow to pass through so that you can hear the full extent of your music or be more aware of your surroundings while on a call. The microphones are seriously magic and are able to clearly pick up your voice without picking up every single background noise.
If you are looking for seriously amazing earbuds this is where you need to look. And if you are looking for a wireless headset to make or take calls without being super obtrusive, again look no further than the Jabra Elite 65t.

AVG Ultimate is a great fully featured protection option that covers not only your PC but also your mobile devices. On the PC it is a fully functioning antivirus program with internet security built in, options to protect any internet purchases, and an optional tuneup to help clear clutter on your system to ensure that it runs optimally.
The whole suite of programs has a very minimal draw on your system that is unnoticeable while doing common tasks on your computer. During gaming sessions I noticed no discernible issues or slowdowns due to this antivirus program.

Tough on bad guys. Easy on you.The Nest Secure alarm system is easy to live with every day. Just tap Nest Tag on Nest Guard to arm and disarm the alarm - no passcode needed. Nest Detect sensors look out for doors, windows and rooms. And with the Nest app, you can keep an eye on what matters.

Security without the usual annoyances

The Nest Secure is an easy to use product that basically manages itself, is easy to set up, it doesn't annoy you when people enter and leave throughout the day, and when armed will notify you immediately if anything happens in it's monitored area.
Installation is a breeze, the system is completely wireless with the exception of the power cord for the Nest Guard unit. The whole system is added expanded and added to your already existing WiFi system simply by scanning the QR codes on all the items which you would like to add to the security system and adding additional items is just as easy.
The two included sensors have multiple uses depending on how you would like to use them. They can be used as a traditional door sensor, as a window sensor (open-close, not break), or as a motion sensor. And, when it is used as a door or window sensor, it also doubles as a motion sensor. The sensors are easy to mount, either by using the included mounting hardware or the included adhesive strips.
The Nest Secure starter pack also includes a pair of key fobs, designed to make arming and disarming the system simple. They are added just like everything else on the system by just scanning the QR codes on the fobs. You are also able to use up to an 8 digit code for arming and disarming the system and can assign individual codes to everyone in the household so that it is easy for them to remember and you can track who is coming and going based of of their codes or key fob.
The app is simple to use and if you already have another Nest product, your setup time will be reduced. You are able to customize your settings for home/away, duration between entry/exit and alarm, and notifications
In addition to the included features you are also able to add 24/7 home monitoring like a traditional alarm system as well as cellular backup in case your system loses WiFi for any reason.
Overall this is a very simple to use, easy to setup, and easy to add to system that can be used as your one and only alarm system without the usual annoyances of older systems and with the ease of use and monitoring of newer systems.

Easy to setup range extension for Nest

The Nest Connect is an easy and simple way to setup an extended range connection for your Nest security alarm system that works great for larger homes. Setup is a breeze and it allows you to expand your security system throughout your whole home for those that need it. The only complaint I have is that it works exclusively with the Nest Secure items and not with any of Nest's other products, it would be nice if this extended the range for cameras and anything else that Nest may sell. Other than that it is an excellent product that does exactly what it is supposed to and is simple to setup.

Great wire-free security camera

This is an all around good wireless HD security camera system that includes free cloud recording. You are able to use either camera completely wireless or wired, the only advantage to being wired is that it is the only way to set up activity zones or to use the optional continuous recording. When set up to do so it will send you mobile alerts and/or emails of activity that is recorded throughout the day, it also includes the ability to remotely sound the alarm that is built into the base system as a deterrent.
This is not a full suite security system, it is a camera system that has the ability to sound an alarm manually. It will not set off an alarm if something moves in one of the zones and it does not have the ability to add any door or window sensors into the system. If you are looking for a replacement security system this is not where you want to look, however if you are looking for a fully capable security camera system with remote management available this is exactly what you want.

Superb sound quality in a small package

The Bose SoundLink Micro Bluetooth Speaker is an amazing waterproof speaker that has surprisingly crisp and loud sound quality. I have had other waterproof speakers of similar size and the sound quality is no where near as good as the Bose SoundLink.
It is fully functional on both IOS and Android phones which is a pleasant surprise, also features a speakerphone so you can make and take calls as well as use the voice assistant on your phone. The range is limited due to Bluetooth's inherently limited range, but is no less than most other Bluetooth devices. The speaker turns on and connects quickly to your phone, the controls are simple and intuitive, and with a visual as well as audio representation of the available battery remaining it is easy to see and hear when you need to charge your speaker.
Overall this is an amazing speaker that also happens to be waterproof and compact meant to be able to take with you wherever you may be going. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing speaker with amazing sound quality.

Excellent gaming router from Linksys

The Linksys - WRT32X AC3200 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Gaming Router is a great wireless router with device prioritization ensuring smooth gameplay and streaming on the devices that need it. Being in the gaming line of routers from Linksys it does have a rather large footprint if being set on a desk, and the plug is rather large and takes up room on your power strip depending on how it's set up. But other than that it is a great gaming router that handles multiple devices easily whether they are wired or wireless.
Web based setup is easy and simple with a basic interface for people who only intend to do the bare minimum and a more advanced section for users who would like to go in more depth with their setup. With speed test built in, parental controls, and easy drag and drop device prioritization there are plenty of tools for all users regardless of your expertise level.
-Be Advised-
One thing I did find out is that if you hook up the router and connect it to your modem properly it will show that you have internet connection on the front of the router, but until you go through the web-based setup and agree to the user agreement, you will not be able to connect to the internet on your device.
I contacted customer service and they confirmed that this is how it is supposed to work and it will not connect to the internet until you follow the step to set it up.

What is the current standard for secured WI-FI?
I am interested in putting together a wireless network. I understand that WPA, WEP, WEP2, and TKIP have been compromised. What is the current standard for secured WI-FI?
WPA and WPA2 are still the most used security standards used and as long as you are not using a weak short password and instead use a longer more secure password (letters, numbers, and symbols), it is still a very secure standard. However, on routers that have WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) enabled, it can be used as a backdoor into your network through brute force. On most routers this is easily disabled, and in my opinion unnecessary on your own home network, but on other routers it is unable to be disabled leaving a way for your network to be hacked into. As with all security it is impossible to create a system that will not at some point be circumvented with enough time and patience, however for networking security standards WPA is still the best and safest option due to the enormous amount of time and effort involved with actually hacking into it if a good password is used.
As a note if you have any devices using WEP replace them as soon as possible since it is a matter of minutes to hack into devices using that method of security.
