In this sequel to ID4-Resurgence is very similar to the original Independence Day but our characters are 20 years older. Great performances by Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, and Judd Hirsch. Willl Smith's character doesn't return but his son does to take on a similar role. The special effects, editing, score, and photography are fantastic. Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin re-teamed for this picture. Its a good sequel, I missed this one in the theatres but any disaster movie usually gets and keeps my attention, no matter how good or bad. If you liked the original its worth seeing the sequel.

Finally a T.V series about global catastrophe that ins't with zombies, monsters, aliens, ghosts, police detectives or supernatural forces..This series is based on the book by William Brinkley and Warner Bros/TNT delivered with this show. Great performances from Eric Dane, Adam Baldwin, Rhona Mitra and the newly arriving Alfre Woodward. In season two our group is working to disseminate the cure developed, while arriving back at The United States..Unfortunately there are new threats from the mysterious Immunes and a new world order lead by Granderson.. Great show check it out!!!

I love Zombie movies. This film is based on the video game and is an average made for DVD movie. Jesse Metcalfe leads the cast against the hordes of zombies in an abandoned city while trying to find out the cause of the outbreak. Some really cool weapons, zombie kills & fights, and terrific editing around the action sequences. You will see weapons, kills, characters, costumes, & zombies similar to Z Nation and The Walking Dead as Zombies have been done to death the past 6 years since the inception of the hit AMC show...however to this day I still believe George A. Romero did it the best with his Dead Films...most of the zombie movies today aren't worth a mouth full of Greek Salad!! There's so many comic books about zombies with some different, unique, and original ideas..I wish someone in Hollywood would try something new for a change...stop beating a dead horse...

Tim Burton does it again with Johnny Depp as his Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland. The film is entertaining with Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen yelling at her guards off with his head..the new Alice is played well by a young actress named Mia Wasikowska. Disney provides great photography, locations, editing, music, special effects, and storytelling to modernize the tale while keeping it kid friendly as Johnny Depp always plays a character that looks strange, weird & bizarre..which is the normal for him. Check this one out..

Phantasm Reaches Full Circle

I am a Phantasm super fan, have been lucky enough to meet Reggie Bannister, Angus Scrimm, and Don Coscarelli on a few different occasions. All very professional, kind and courteous actors/director. It was so good to see all the beloved characters of the franchise that started 37 years ago. Once again Reggie is back looking for Mike after the events of Phantasm IV Oblivion..Reggie goes through time, jumps forward, back, from side to side and everywhere in between, some scenes he is younger, some older, some in the present moment. All the characters return with even Rocky from Part III which was a nice surprise at the end of the film. Reggie spends his time looking, questioning, asking, smooth talking girls, playing guitar, singing, shooting, getting chased by spheres small and SUPER LARGE in basically the future which has become the Land of the Tall Man. Thankfully a group of resistance fighters rescue Reggie before its too late, one of them being Mike. The movie leaves the viewer with the thoughts of the franchise finally ending, as the group of friends is reunited after a lifelong battle with The Tall Man, his dwarfs, his spheres, the lady in lavender, and everyone possessed by evil...you decide..or maybe half the movie was a dream with certain parts of reality being true and others being part of Reggie's mind in flux...

Girl-Busters Reboots Franchise

This new version of Ghostbusters is a good film. I will just say that its different and not bad. Its very difficult to compare the Ghostbusters with this version because its over 30 years where special effects/ CGI have made leaps & bounds since 1984. However what this movie offers is a fresh new look at 4 women basically doing the same things Murray, Aykroyd & co did but on a much larger, grander scale with more physical comedy, tons of more ghosts, monsters, & special effects galore. Slimer is back with his new girlfriend Slimerette, Mr. Stay Puft is back, there's a nice tribute to Harold Ramis. The infamous Zuul, the devil dogs, and Vigo from Part 2 are nowhere to be found except a mention of Zuul after all the credits possibly hinting a sequel. I had mixed feelings going to see this movie with friends, but I was pleasantly surprised and glad it wasn't a mockery or joke of the beloved franchise. They could have named it something else, but either way it did decently box office wise. Nice nostalgia to see Annie Potts, Sigourney Weaver, Ernie Hudson, Dan Aykroyd, and Bill Murray all back as totally different characters who added some comedic moments to the film..sadly missing was Rick Moranis. Chris Hemsworth is excellent as the new desk clerk, and Ozzy Osbourne has a pretty funny cameo role. I did enjoy the movie for what it was and how it was presented as such...

Happy Birthday is quite a strange film. Steven Tyler co-stars as a weirdo in Mexico who helps out the main character to go where no man has gone before for an insane birthday party of bars, cock fights, tequila, dancing girls, and basically madness. Unfortunately all is not what it seems and things turn sour for him sooner than later only to twist at the very end. An average film with some good parts..

This is a movie made up of 8 shorts based on Christmas, New Years, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Halloween, and Valentine's Day. Its quite a strange mix of creepy stories, characters, and outcomes. Its kind of written like a comic book with a cliffhanger ending where intended things happen but you may or may not see the end results. Featuring some very hip directors in the form of Kevin Smith, Gary Shore, Adam Egypt Mortimer, Scott Stewart and others. Watch out for the Easter Bunny..an excellent tale about the holidays!!

Father and Sons Stuck In A Winter Battle...

I wanted to see this one at the theaters but it only played for 1 week and I missed it but shortly thereafter I picked up the DVD. Edge of Winter is an excellent story about family, parenting, kids, and takes place during winter. Joel Kinnaman plays the father of two sons who are together for a winter excursion. The two boys are played by the new Spider-Man Tom Holland and Ben Stiller's son from Night at the Museum 3 Percy Hynes White. The dad takes them driving, teaching them to shoot, and as the kids mess around while he's driving they crash into the snow and wreck the car. From there the kids talk about leaving with their mother and her new boyfriend to go to another country Britain. This basically sets the dad off and the rest is basically a fright night for these two sons with their father who has the chance of loosing his sons. The weather picks up with a bad snowstorm as they walk to a desolate cabin. Being pushed to the edge puts the boys in danger from the one person who is responsible for keeping them safe, has now become their biggest threat. Great flick, check it out!!
