Sharknado 5 Global Swarming takes our fearless shark hunters/heroes to across the globe to deal with more shark problems. Ian and Tara are both great as their characters. I am so glad Cassie Scerbo came back. She is beautiful and a joy to look at. Bret Michaels makes a cameo along with tons of other popular, pop culture, television, and internet personalities. Could this be the last Sharknado? 5 years, 5 movies? Only time will tell..fun & campy..
This review is for the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer..Kristy Swanson who is as attractive now as she was in the 90's. Here she has to deal with Rutger Hauer and Paul Reubens as vampires, Luke Perry as her potential heart throb, and Donald Sutherland as a Van Helsing vampire hunter type. An excellent campy, fun mix of horror, and comedy. 20th Century Fox took a long time to release this but well worth the wait..Check It out!!
Beauty and the Beast the remastered edition was offered on Blu-Ray and DVD. I purchased this for my girlfriend who loves the story and the live action re-make from earlier this year. I saw this years ago when I worked for a number of video retailers all now defunct. The sound and picture quality is superb. Disney never disappoints.
Beauty and the Beast is one of my girlfriend's favorite stories. I actually am not that familiar with the story but took her to see it because she likes it. According to her the movie was basically just like the Disney cartoon movie from the 90's but live action. She knew and sang all the songs as the movie progressed. The makeup and visual effects were great. The film is basically a musical with elements of action, drama, romance, comedy, and suspense. It was enjoyable to watch and I actually bought her the Blu-Ray when it was released so her kids could see it as well. If your kids like Disney movies, let them see it..
Wrestlemania 33 was a great all around card...the matches delivered as does every Wrestlemania with tremendous drama, pageantry, majesty, and on a large grandiose scale. Undertaker retired after a grueling physical and somewhat flop of a match with Roman Reigns. Brock Lesnar agreed to loose all encounters with Goldberg so he could win the Universal Title at the grandest stage of them all WM33 in yet another short match. Seth Rollins returned to beat Triple H after a second knee injury in a good match. Randy Orton won the WWE Title from Bray Wyatt in yet another short but strange surreal type of match for the 13th time. A.J. Styles stole the show opening WM33 beating Shane O Mac in a very physical encounter. The Hardy Boys returned from TNA to defeat 3 other RAW tag teams and get their well deserved titles back with the fans behind them solidly. Naomi won her Blue Brand Women's title back after loosing it due to an injury a few weeks before beating Alexa Bliss. Bayley kept the RAW Red Brand Women's Title as she defeated Nia, Sasha, and Charlotte. The Hall of Fame announcements are always one of the highlights of the show. DDP looked great, as did Beth Phoenix, and Kurt Angle. The Rock N Roll Express, Teddy Long, and Rick Rude's family also appeared.John Cena and Nikki Bella made quick work of The Miz and Maryse who tore the couple apart for weeks by making fun of them on Total Bellas. Cena proposed to Nicole and she accepted..off into the sunset for these two. KO defeated Y2J for the US Title so Jericho could go off and play with his band Fozzy in a very physical match. Beware the pre-matches are not included on this double Blu-Ray. Ambrose defeated Corbin to keep his Intercontinental Title. King Neville defeated Aries to keep his Crusierweight Title, and Mojo Rawley won the Andre The Giant Battle Royal with the help of Rob Gronkowski from NFL. Its funny the guy he beated Jinder Mahal just beat Randy Orton for the WWE Title on SmackDown and Mojo Rawley is nowhere to be found along with his injured buddy Zack Ryder who switches girlfirends quicker than his socks everyday..A good solid PPV with short, surreal matches. I guess after watching wrestling for 37 years it just isn't the same as it was back in the 80's.
The Royal Rumble 2017 is the 30th year celebration. While the lineup is stellar and huge of superstars the major ones are used in a very limited capacity while some spots are wasted with wrestlers like James Ellsworth. No Legends or Hall of Famers showed up this year. The only notable surprise is Tye Dillinger from NXT. The WWE has basically become every other promotion now as most of the superstars are from NXT, TNA, New Japan, ROH, ECW at some point. The other ones have been around for 10-12 years such as Cena, Orton, Miz, Big Show, Undertaker, Goldberg, Lesnar, Shane McMahon and the MIA Demon Kane. The match was quite disappointing as Randy Orton eliminated a beaten up Roman Reigns to win after Reigns lost his match with Kevin Owens due to interference from Braun Strowman who got eliminated and didn't win the rumble either. The WWE is great at building up superstars and matches and can be a huge let down. People don't like Roman Reigns because Vince McMahon is pushing him to be the next big thing and biggest superhero. The guy gets booed so bad everywhere its truly a shame. He has great talents and it must be very difficult and distracting to wrestle when thousands of people are booing or cursing you out of the building. The Royal Rumble undercard was pretty good with usual preliminary matches. John Cena and AJ Styles stole the show for the entire card as Cena became a 16 time champion to loose the belt to Bray Wyatt in 2 weeks at Elimination Chamber only for him to be challenged by Randy Orton for him to win his 13th World Heavyweight Title at WM33. Average PPV for WWE. I maybe taking a break from wrestling soon as its become very predictable and unexciting to watch. The magic of the 80's is gone!
Breaking Dawn Part 2 is the fourth sequel and the 5th movie overall in the Twilight series. This one ends the series from the books as well. The final story of the vampires/werwolves clashing doesn't really break any ground but the fans seem to just love this series. The money made from these 5 Twilight films was absolutely incredible as the marketing along with the book tie-ins and the young cast made it work..here we are years later and its funny because I haven't seen Kristen Stewart in any movies breaking any records since nor her vampire or werewolf friends either..sometimes lightning is made in a bottle, but the magic of Twilight ended here, unfortunately for the cast, there careers are still careers but not what the Twilight movies were successful wise..
Breaking Dawn is Twilight #4 and the second to last film of the entire series. This film leads the characters into more drama and issues as the cliffhanger ending which usually appears in comic books is present here. I think the reason was to just milk more money out of the series by making it two films instead of one giant long film. Wisely done as once again the movie broke records and earned a ton of cash...
New Moon is the second sequel to Twilight and the 3rd film is the series of 5 films total. All of your favorites characters return with the lifetime of drama between the vampires and werewolves with a romeo/juliet story mashed in between them. I haven't seen this one yet but they must have done something right to make tons of money, even if it was just with the young cast and marketing of the series..
Eclipse is the first sequel to Twilight and picture #2 out of a total of 5 films. I had recently bought Twilight for my girlfriend and watched it. I was surprised as I thought it would have been much more corny but it was pretty seriously made. I actually saw these remaining four films for a great bargain price and decided to get them for her for Christmas. Unfortunately I haven't had the time to watch the remaining 4 films in the series so I will say I am sure this sequel is average..if you like Twilight movies, this one is for you, for certain...
