I love this show. I'm not sure of the direction they are taking the show, but when they started getting married and having children the dynamic changed for the worse. Hopefully Season 11 will right the ship and bring back the magic.

Better than the first film

I enjoyed The Expendables 2 more than the first movie. Mainly because the action scenes are over-the-top, ridiculous feats than in the previous film.
The movie starts with an excellent sequence in which The Expendables break into a fortress to rescue a prisoner. There's tanks, soldiers, explosions, daring escapes, planes, and it never really lets up from there on.
Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger are featured more in this film, so if you are a fan you won't be disappointed.

The action scenes are thick, fast and brutal, but arrive in batches more towards the latter part of the film. I did like Rambo more as action was its main driving force, Sly really want to deliver some plot and it does slow the film down at times, but I think he knows that as come the second film he steps down as Director and the balance of EX2 has way more laughs, even bigger names and action. This film is a great start to a franchise. The one distracting factor throughout this and the 2nd film is the CGI is pretty poor and Rambo for that matter I notice that Lionsgate is behind these films so makes me question if its down to them)

Great war film from 1962

We all have seen the more recent picture "Saving Private Ryan" and other films depicting the War at Normandy. However, this film is a classic because of all the great actors who appeared in this film and put their hearts and souls into the different roles, Army Privates right up to the Generals. This film, in glorious black and white, is a great Classic which is worth viewing every once in a while. I remember seeing this film years ago and I think about all those men and women who gave their lives for this country in order to destroy the evils of Adolph Hitler and his wicked country who allowed this man to have such power and control. "Saving Private Ryan" was a great film and broke out hearts but this film is truly a great film classic.

Yes, this film is long, but George C. Scott delivers such a grand performance as Patton you can't take your eyes off the man. At times, the man appears totally off his rocker, but that only adds to the depth and dynamic of the whole movie. In the scene when the war ends Patton says "All good things must come to an end". I mean who else could get away with in saying that? Seriously, this isn't even a war movie. It's a character study. It's basically the George C. Scott show from first scene to last. And he owns every single frame of every single minute of this movie! You'll rarely find a cinema badass like George C.Scott's Patton. I can't imagine anyone in 1970 who was more deserving of the Oscar than George C.

"Tora! Tora! Tora!" is not exactly a great film, with mediocre acting and script. However, it contains one of the greatest battle scenes ever shot on film, if not the greatest. It's a treat for war film lovers to watch. I still find the simulation of the Pearl Harbor attack to be a totally mesmerizing spectacle.
This film, being done before CGI, does a great job utilizing methods available at the time.(1970). This fact makes this film much more amazing. (This film must cost 300 million to make nowadays!)
After watching I think you'll be hard-pressed not to say, "Wow!"

Where do I start? This film delivers a great feeling of patriotism, and bravery represented by Desmond Doss. The actor who's playing Desmond Doss, Andrew Garfield, does a fairly good job, and its clear this role was made for him. The screenplay, being based on a true fact, had a good impact on this viewer, but of course not all true facts are easily contoured to intrigue the viewer. However, Robert Schenkkan and Andrew Knight do a good job shaping it. Camera performance was above my expectations, most of the scenes were great filmed delivering a great look of the events. Actor performance was good, every character having a good personality structure. The sound editing was exceptional, visual effects were good. Conclusion: A great movie with a great screenplay.

I absolutely loved this movie! it was so refreshing to watch after 99% of movies churned out these days is pure junk! This movie is visually stunning and the plot manages to be subtlety thought-provoking and gripping, yet skillfully weaving in fast paced action. The performances are wonderful and the casting was spot on. Easily going to be one of my favorite movies. Side note- these days people seem to think the only way to review anything is by tearing it down and there really isn't any objectivity. Unfortunately, it will turn away a lot of people from watching a great movie and has killed any chance at a sequel. It will be years before people can admit that they enjoyed this movie or someone watches at home and realizes what they missed. Great Job
