The HP Omen 25 is crisp, has great color reproduction, decent viewing angles, lot's of ports, and yes, it's fast at just 1ms. You just can't buy a better monitor at this price. And they give you an HDMI cable. Who does that?
If you want your games to be super smooth and want to have that little 1ms edge on your buddies, this is a great monitor that won't break the bank.

Work smarter, not harder

This is one amazing vacuum cleaner. Mind you, it won't replace your upright, but it's great for keeping things looking good during the week. Just program it to start at a given time, and by the time you get home from work your floor will look great.
This thing has some pretty impressive tech inside. There are sensors galore. It won't go down stairs, and when it detects walls or corners, it spends a little extra time to make sure all the crud gets picked up. According to Samsung, it even maps out your room from the get go to figure out the best route to take to cover the whole area.
I've owned robot vacs in the past, and one complaint I had was that they get stuck, either under things or when going onto carpet from hardwood. So far, my POWERbot R7040 hasn't gotten stuck even once. That's because it has large wheels that lift up when needed to clear obstacles or make the transition to other surfaces.
Samsung made it super easy to empty the dust bin. It has a washable filter to help you keep suction at its best. And it can controlled using the remote or an Android or iOS app.
This is a highly recommended product, especially if you have pets that shed. We have a Husky that seems to shed year round. The POWERbot R7040 is great for keeping the fur at bay.
Lastly, I compared POWERbot R7 with other brands, and this little guy is less expensive feature for feature. Works well, costs less--what's not to like?

Awesome headphones

These are amazing headphones. I'm not an audiophile by any stretch of the imagination, but I can tell you these headphones are crystal clear with great range, bright highs, and plenty of base. And they are really comfortable to boot.
I tested the range of the headphones with a few different devices and they work reliably up to 30+ feet away from the source with direct line of sight. And I found the 15 hour battery life estimate to be refreshingly accurate.
The "touch controller" feature is a nice addition. It's a small pad on the housing of the left side that with a touch allows you to play or pause music, answer calls, or even call into action your favorite digital assistant--I have a Windows Phone and Cortana works flawlessly, but I'm confident it will work just as well with Siri or Google Now. Locating the touch pad takes a little practice, but you get used to its position pretty quickly. You can also use the volume slider to play the next or previous track.
I have no reservations recommending the Audio-Technica ATH-DSR7BT headphones. They have excellent sound quality, range, and the built-in mic is an added bonus. You could spend more, but I don't know why you would.

The best router available

The Linksys EA9300 is, in my opinion, simply the best router available today for the price. It is super easy to set up with a the Linksys app, or through a web browser. It detects the type of internet connection you have and with a just a little input from the user it gets you up and going quickly.
I have found the Wi-Fi signal to be excellent, but if you have a larger home, or you need to extend Wi-Fi to the back yard, just install a Linksys MAX-STREAM Range Extender and your devices will automatically switch to the strongest signal.
I also like the features Linksys has loaded this router with--like the ability to turn off the Wi-Fi signal on a schedule or the option to turn off the LED's. You can also manage your network remotely using the Linksys app and set up you own personal cloud by attaching a USB hard drive to the router. And since it is tri-band, you can set up a guest network without having to make your network password public knowledge.
I can't imagine needing a feature this router doesn't already have. And so far it's been rock solid. Rock solid, fast, great signal, every imaginable feature...you just can't get a better router for the price.

Great little speaker

Any product review should rate the product based on what it was designed to do. To say the Polk Bit doesn't have much base or high dynamic range is to miss the whole point. It was designed as a small speaker you can take with you on the go which will produce decent sound in sufficient volumes to make headphones unnecessary. And to that end it does its job. In fact, it does it well. And it's light, is easy to charge without an adapter to lose (it has a USB connector built in), and works well as a hands-free speaker for your cell phone.
I took off a star because the buttons are a little difficult to operate. They are covered with a thick rubber piece that can make it a challenge to get a positive press on the button, especially when you are required to press both buttons at the same time. For example, to turn it on you hold both the volume - and + keys for a couple of seconds. Sometimes I think I have both buttons pressed, but the Bit doesn't come on. After 5 or 6 seconds of this, I figure it out, but it's just not as easy as it could be. I'm used to it now, so it doesn't really bother me that much.
For the price, I think this is a great little speaker, especially if you don't want to wear headphones but like a little sound when you are running, working in the garden, or doing whatever you do. Just clip it to your clothes and go.

Overall, a very capable midrange gaming computer

The HP Omen (870-224) is a good midrange gaming machine that should play just about anything with decent frame rates on all but the most graphic intensive games on the highest graphics settings. In Modern Warfare 4 I was able to set the graphics quality to Ultra and still got over 90 frames/sec. However, don't expect to run Deus Ex: Mankind Divided on Ultra, or even Very High at 1440p and get even 60 fps. For that you'll need more horsepower and/or a GeForce® GTX 1080 Ti. Still, the GeForce GTX 1060 is a very good graphics card for the price.
My only complaint is boot times and how long it takes to get to the desktop (full disclosure: my current computer has an SSD). Boot times seem a little slow and it regularly takes 15-20 seconds after entering my password to get to the desktop. This was observed on a stock install with no applications installed. It wasn't enough for me to remove a star, just a little annoying. I noticed disk usage pegged at 100% for a couple of minutes at Windows startup, so I'm guessing that has a lot to do with it. I'm planning to install an SSD, so that should rectify most of the boot issues.
This is a very capable gaming computer at a reasonable price. For the majority of games available, I think this is a great platform. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

Powerful and versatile

This is one powerful device. It's pretty much everything you could want in a vacuum cleaner. It's light, has the suction to make small cats disappear, and has plenty of attachments to get the job done.
It's similar in appearance and function to Shark's Rotator Lift-Away, our previous vacuum, but in a smaller package. It seems just as powerful, too. Its claim to fame is dual brush rolls. I guess the theory is that if the first roll misses anything, the second roll is there to get it. And it works. We've used it on carpet, hardwood, and tile floors and it performs equally well on all surfaces. Just make sure to change the thumb switch to the type of floor you’re are cleaning. Setting it to "Carpet" increases the speed of the brush rolls for better cleaning.
It comes with 3 attachments: 1) A handy wand for cleaning under appliances. If you've ever rolled your refrigerator out of its normal spot, you know why this is a good tool to have. I've also found it handy for cleaning the hard to get to filters on my refrigerator. 2) A handheld brush attachment. 3) A handheld roller attachment with is labeled "Hard surfaces". I guess it's for cleaning up smaller messes on counters, tables, etc. I would think it would also be effective for getting pet fur off furniture. In addition to the included attachments, Shark offers additional tools on their website.
Lastly, when you need more portability, just "lift-away" the main unit from the base and go to town. It makes it very convenient for cleaning cobwebs from corners, getting dust off of blinds, or even vacuuming out the car. It also allows you to get underneath tables and couches. It's a quick and easy process and gives you no excuse for having dust bunnies underneath things.
This is a great vacuum cleaner, and while you can buy cheaper ones, you won't get the same versatility, power, and ease of use Shark offers in the Lift-Away Speed. Happy cleaning!

Amazing story and movie

Although the movie didn't strictly adhere to the actual chronology of the Desmond Doss story, mainly because of time constraints, this is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Andrew Garfield did a fantastic job playing Doss, a WWII conscientious objector who earned the Medal of Honor for his bravery.
While there is violence in the movie, it was war and a lot of violence did occur. I don't believe blood and gore was shown for effect only. I felt it gave me an idea, even if only slightly, of what those guys went through and what they might have seen.
Whether you believe in God or not, it's refreshing to see someone stand on their convictions like Desmond Doss did, even though he took a lot of abuse for it. I actually met him and he was a humble, gracious, person. I believe that had everything to do with his faith.
I highly recommend this movie. I do, however, consider it to be too graphic for smaller children.

A new take on presentation remotes

The Logitech Spotlight is an improvement on an old idea. The build quality is excellent and it feels really solid in your hand. In function, it's a cross between a presentation remote and an air mouse. Using the air mouse functionality takes little practice, but the results can be well worth your time.
You can use the combination remote/air mouse to highlight a circular area, magnify an area, or circle an important part of your slide. The air mouse feature can also be used to select play buttons on video or audio slides.
I really appreciate the timer feature. I tend to go a little off topic from time to time and find it handy that I can set notifications to remind me I'm running out of time. When you've reached a preset time, it vibrates to let you know it's time to shut your trap.
Spotlight is rechargeable, works with the included USB transmitter or Bluetooth, and has a range of up to 100', which I found to be pretty accurate.
The Logitech Spotlight is a little pricey, but if you are a heavy presenter it's extended functionality could be just what you need to provide the pop your presentations need.

Nice signal booster

If you live in an area where the cell signal is iffy, the eqo weBoost is a must-have. It truly works, but keep in mind the better the signal you currently have, the greater the coverage in your house the weBoost will give you. As long as you have enough signal to make a call, the weBoost can be of benefit. Just find the area of your house, most likely in front of a window, where the signal is strongest and place the base there. You can determine the exact signal strength using your cell phone. Just do a search to find out how this is done using your device.
You'll then need to place the antenna at least 6 feet away. Unfortunately, the antenna is connected to the base using a coaxial cable (25' cable included) instead of wirelessly, so you'll need to keep that in mind as you consider where the base will go. This is the only reason I took off 1 star.
Though it works will all carriers, I'm using it with AT&T. I've noticed a 10-15 decibel signal increase, which is pretty substantial. This translates into faster connection speeds, and no dropped calls.
The weBoost is not inexpensive, but if you need a more dependable cell signal, it's worth every penny.

For some reason batteries are required even if the doorbell is wired.

Does this camera work with just my wifi or is it on the cloud and does it require a monthly service fee?
The video doorbell will work, but functionality is pretty basic. You get notifications when there's motion, and you can watch live video to see who's at the door. But without a subscription you cannot record motion or live video, and you cannot take photos. From my experience, this is pretty much the norm for video doorbells.

Blink video door bell does it detect you even if you don't press the door bell button? Or how it works to notify you? Would you receive alert notification if some one is at door just standing?
You can choose to receive a notification if the video doorbell detects motion.
