For considerably less than the big names, this microwave looks good and works great. It's easy to use and has plenty of power. The only complaint I have is that the display is very bright and can't be dimmed.

Nest Connect extends your home network for the Nest Secure alarm system. It will make sure motion sensors and alarms are connected and operational, even for larger homes.

Tough on bad guys. Easy on you.The Nest Secure alarm system is easy to live with every day. Just tap Nest Tag on Nest Guard to arm and disarm the alarm - no passcode needed. Nest Detect sensors look out for doors, windows and rooms. And with the Nest app, you can keep an eye on what matters.

I've been very impressed with the Nest Secure Alarm System. So much so that I'm thinking about adding additional Nest products to keep an eye on my home.
Setup was super easy--just download the Nest app, let it find the Nest Guard, then add it and the tags and detects (for windows or doors). Simple.
The Nest Guard has 3 settings--Off, Home and Guarding, and Away and Guarding. Home and Guarding alerts you when any window or door with a detect is opened, so it makes me feel better about leaving family at home.
I especially like the notifications the app provides. If enabled, the app uses GPS to determine if you've left home. In that case, you get a notification asking if you want to enable the alarm. Likewise, when you near your home, you'll be asked if you want to disable the alarm. For those of us that are absent-minded, it's a great feature.
The Nest Secure Alarm System is not cheap. But just one thwarted break-in and it has more than paid for itself. In addition, keeping my family safe is worth much more than the cost of this system. And considering the cost to have a more traditional system installed, the Nest system is a bargain.
I wholeheartedly recommend the Nest Secure Alarm System. It's easy to install, and works well.

The Epson ProSense 307 does just about what all of its competitors are doing. It has integrated heart rate detection (though not as accurate as a HR strap), GPS, activity tracking, sleep tracking, and it doubles as a smartwatch with notifications and music control. It also has VO2max estimate, recovery time and training effect metrics, as well as interval training, workout alerts and waypoint navigation. It's packed with features. The Epson View app for Android and iPhone is surprisingly good for a first attempt and syncs with popular sites like Strava. My only complaint is that the app seems a little slow to open. It takes about 20 seconds to get to the dashboard.
Many fitness watches have similar features, but the 307 does have a couple that separate it from the field.
The battery life on the 307 is phenomenal, especially when using the GPS. It's rated for 20 hours, which seems pretty accurate from my experience. That's more than double what I was getting on my previous watch. The battery will last close to a month without needing a charge if GPS is not used! That's very impressive and light years ahead of the competition.
The screen, while not color, is extrememly visible and sharp, and is as good or better than any watch I've seen.
Lastly, the price for what you are getting with the 307 is exceptional. None of its competitors are even close.
If you are looking for a fitness watch that is packed with features, has a great screen, phenomenal battery life, and a great price, the ProSense 307 won't disappoint.

I don't get excited about products very often, but the Ultimate Ears Megablast speaker is a truly amazing product.
First and foremost, it's a speaker. And as such I'm amazed at the sound quality that comes from it. When they say 360 degree sound, they mean it. It literally fills the room with sound. Not just sound, but a rich, full sound with plenty of bass. I am very impressed with both the quality and the volume this thing puts out.
Amazon Alexa has been a new, pleasant experience for me. She responds to just about anything you ask her. There is a little bit of a lag, so don't be in a hurry. So far I've enjoyed having Alexa play my favorite music just by asking. And if I need a little extra volume, I just have to ask. I'm hoping I can figure out how to have her control my internet connected garage door opener.
And, of course, you can connect to the Megablast using Bluetooth--up to 8 different devices from computers to cell phones.
There are just 4 buttons--volume up and down, power, and Bluetooth. Simple. Combining these buttons provides additional functionality.
I also like the fact that it's wireless--up to 16 hours. I recommend the charging dock, as well, which makes it super easy to charge just by setting it on the dock.
If you want a speaker that delivers amazing sound quality with lots of volume wherever you are, the Megablast is going to be hard to beat. Alexa is icing on the cake.

This is one of those ideas that you put your palm to your forehead and wonder why you didn't think of it. I love my Surface Pro 3, and while it works fine as a laptop when it's actually, you know, on my lap, the kickstand has a tendency to dig into my legs and the screen doesn't stand on it's own. In addition, I've never really become friends with the Surface Pro keyboard--I like the feel just fine, I just click multiple keys simultaneously way too often (the newer model that came out with the Surface Pro 4 appears to be an improvement). Enter the Brydge 12.3 keyboard. The keyboard holds your Surface firmly and turns it into a gorgeous laptop.
The keyboard ships with rubber shims for the Surface Pro 4, so don't try to force your Surface Pro 3 into the keyboard like I did before you read the directions. You'll need to replace the shims with the included, and wider, SP3 version if that's the model you have. Pairing was simple...after I read the directions. Once connected, I found the keyboard a joy to type on. In fact, I'm not exaggerating when I say it is probably the best chiclet style keyboard I've ever typed on. Keyboards are a matter of taste, so go to Best Buy and try it yourself.
I like the trackpad gestures Brydge included. There are the typical pinch type gestures, but there are also gestures for viewing open apps, showing the desktop, and invoking Cortana. In addition, the keyboard has helpful pre-assigned keys for opening your default email app, showing open apps, and, of course, volume and brightness. An added bonus is that the keys are backlit.
The Brydge 12.3 Surface Pro keyboard costs only a little more than the Microsoft Surface keyboard, but it turns your Surface into a bonafide laptop. The only downside I can see over the Microsoft keyboard is slightly decreased battery life due to Bluetooth having to be turned on. But if you ask me, the battery life penalty is more than worth it.
Lastly, build quality is excellent. I'm positive the Brydge 12.3 will outlive your Surface Pro.

Freedom from annoying wires, that is. Even if these headphones didn't sound good, it would be a welcomed change from having to hold my phone in hand while working out. But, they do sound good. Really good.
Setup was a breeze--just like any other Bluetooth device you just have to pair them. After getting them paired, I found these headphones are great for blocking out sound. That's not, however, a good formula for using them while running on the road. If I'm going to get run over, I want to hear it coming.
However, for working out, I'm very impressed with the sound quality, as well as the build quality. The wire connecting the two sides is a nylon braided affair--not just a coated wire. This should help these headphones last. The sound is very balanced with just the right amount of bass for my liking--not overpowering, but you still know it's there.
I can fully recommend the Plantronics Backbeat FIT 305s. Great quality, good sound, and at a very competive price.

Installing the Honeywell Wi-Fi Color Thermostat was very easy, made even easier by the fact that I was replacing an existing Honeywell thermostat. The wires on the old thermostat were already labeled in a way that made the transition very easy.
After spending 20 minutes installing the new thermostat (following the instructions in the box) I went through the prompts on the screen allowing me to connect to Wi-Fi and register the unit with the Honeywell’s cloud service. The process took another 10-15 minutes during which I also created an account for the online service.
After that, I installed the app, entered the online account information and was able to connect to my thermostat, modify temperature settings, change the schedule, etc.
The instructions were detailed and precise and the installation took less time than I thought. I highly recommend this product.

Works well, but gets stuck a lot

This robotic vac has some nice features. The mopping feature is nice and the smartphone app is full-featured. However, my experience with the Deebot M81 Pro has not been positive. I put it in my bedroom and it got stuck 3 times and didn't complete the job. Once on the leg of an IKEA birch armchair, once when it wedged itself under the bottom drawer of my dresser, and once when it got wedged under some shelves. And that was on the first usage! I should add that another brand of robot vacuum did not get stuck in any of these places. Maybe my furniture is just not compatible with the Deebot. Maybe it will have more success in different room. If it doesn't get stuck in other rooms, I'll update my review. But for now, I would have a hard time recommending this over other brands.

So, let me say first the MyQ Smart Garage Hub works as advertised. I'm an IT professional and I had a hard time with the directions, which I think could be made a little clearer. Granted, my garage door opener is a vintage 1997 model, so that could have been part of the problem. Once I got it figured out, the device works flawlessly.
It's nice to know if I've left he door open or if someone else is opening it.

For some reason batteries are required even if the doorbell is wired.

Does this camera work with just my wifi or is it on the cloud and does it require a monthly service fee?
The video doorbell will work, but functionality is pretty basic. You get notifications when there's motion, and you can watch live video to see who's at the door. But without a subscription you cannot record motion or live video, and you cannot take photos. From my experience, this is pretty much the norm for video doorbells.

Blink video door bell does it detect you even if you don't press the door bell button? Or how it works to notify you? Would you receive alert notification if some one is at door just standing?
You can choose to receive a notification if the video doorbell detects motion.
