SPECTRE was an awesome film that was brilliantly conceived, well written and expertly crafted to conclude the four-film story arc nicely while re-introducing movie-goers to an iconic Bond villain. The monumental single-shot Day of the Dead prologue set the tone for what would become an amazing adventure for our hero James Bond, once again portrayed flawlessly by Daniel Craig who brings the same visceral intensity to the role. The Blu-ray transfer provides a great presentation of the cinematography and audio. The few extras included make for some entertaining peeks behind-the-scenes. (The sheer scale of the Mexico City shoot is breathtaking.) Best Buy's exclusive Steel Book edition offers a cooler case than the standard release, but nothing more.

I bought the original Skylanders: Spyro's Adventures for my two boys when it launched because the concept of importing various collectible character figurines into the game by placing them on a "portal" seemed pretty cool. Well, apparently millions agreed and the experience has only improved since! My kids insist on getting each new version - Giants, Swap Force and now Trap Team. The Starter Pack is just that. It provides the game disc, usb portal, two Skylanders playable characters and two traps. As in previous iterations, the older characters are playable in the new game, except now players use various elemental traps to capture bad guys, allowing them to use those characters in-game. It's a fun addition to the franchise, including localized sound from the base portal, adding to the illusion that the bad guys are actually trapped inside the accessory. However, sold separately at $5.99 ea the investment can quickly add up for we parents. The good news is that different retailers offer discounts when you purchase multiple accessories at once. This makes for great add-ons when it comes to birthdays and/or holidays. It also gives kids something to buy with their gift cash and cards after the celebration!

First and foremost, I'm a fan of Dynex and Insignia products. Compared to "name brand" products, they offer comparable performance at a great price. As for this surge protector, my only lamentation is the level of actual protection. But, to get more from Monster you have to pay more. That said, Dynex still offers good insurance. I would recommend this device simply based on value for the dollar.

Like "G.I.Joe: The Rise of Cobra", "Retaliation" is a fun action romp in the spirit of the classic '80s comic and cartoon series. Having grown up with G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, I appreciate the over-the-top plot and tech of the movies. Newcomers to the series may not understand it, but longtime fans will get it. I only wish Destro were in this one. The story didn't flow easily, but it kept me smiling like a 12 year old, so I didn't much care!

I bought this great little box for streaming Netflix and Pandora on my bedroom TV. Now, I use several of the included apps; Hulu, Vudu, CinemaNow, YouTube. There are many more. The only one not included that I would like is Amazon. It doesn't link to iTunes, but with the keyboard remote it does a lot more than AppleTV or Roku for less money. It's annoying when it freezes, but all you need to do is unplug it for a few seconds. If you're not looking for a BD player with streaming, check out this little winner!
