The Blu-ray transfer of this John Hughes Christmas favorite isn't much of an improvement over the Widescreen DVD. It seems to be produced from the same master so don't expect it to be brighter, more colorful or much sharper, though they did remaster the audio in 5.1 dts-MA. It doesn't offer any extra content. It does, however include DVD and digital copies. So, all in all it's worth paying a couple of bucks more than the standard DVD edition.

Install car stereo components with this Metra Hyundai Kia DIN kit. The unit is compatible with select Kia Optima and Hyundai Elantra, Tiburon and Sonata models, and includes the housing, brackets, pockets and screws required for a professional installation. This Hyundai Kia DIN kit installs with a separate wiring harness (not included), but doesn't require an antenna adapter.

Very simple universal in-dash double DIN kit. Requires screws for your receiver to attach, so try to retain the screws that came with your unit. I had not, but I was able to get more at the big orange hardware depot. (You know the one.) If you're installing in a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe, be careful to not reattach the dash trim too tightly. It will interfere with other vehicle function buttons. Once I figured that out everything was great.

The folks behind the Battlefield franchise have always tried to be different with their First-Person Shooters. From using Frostbite for a more interactive environment to exploring fireteam co-op play and expanded online participation to bringing these sensibilities to urban law enforcement, DICE and EA have pushed the boundaries.
This was my first experience with the very popular Battlefield franchise, so I was excited to experience the first-person gameplay from a historical perspective. So many games in the genre' have explored WWII and modern warfare (wink wink) and SciFi, so it was brilliant that DICE and Electronic Arts looked to The Great War for inspiration. Playing through the aptly titled Battlefield 1 brings to light the gruesome nature of the War to End All Wars by exploring the courageous exploits of actual participants and units, including the Harlem Hellfighters and Lawrence of Arabia with his band of Bedouin Rebels. The beautifully rendered visuals instantly draw the player into the action and explore the war fighting technology of the day. I prefer games to maintain the first-person vantage when operating vehicles, but Battlefield 1 pulls out to RPG-style third person when flying bi-planes or riding horseback. Oddly, operating the tank remains first-person.
I have not played online; only the campaign. Gameplay is consistent with other FPS titles. You're confined by borders on the map with specific tasks to achieve to complete a mission. Within those borders, you can go practically anywhere and everywhere, in and out of doors and windows, off of roofs and towers, not just where the authors want you to. This allows you to strategize and engage enemies as you wish and the game knows the difference in hard and soft cover. Changes in lighting as you enter and exit buildings are realistic as your virtual eyes "adjust" to the change and use of binoculars play an important role in being stealthy. Controller button mapping is almost identical to other games, so the learning curve is practically flat.
I can't say enough about how beautiful Battlefield 1 is for PS4. In-game graphics are just as impressive as cut scenes, though the CG animation of the cut scenes is cinema quality. Actor performances play a big part in the immersive enjoyment of any game and this cast is excellent.
I play on a 55" Sony 4k XBR LED TV, but I don't have a PS4 Pro, so the TV upscales the native HD. The Pro console would only improve on the experience.
I would insist that Battlefield 1 is a MUST for any fan of FPS games. Don't expect much action playing as the handsome man from the cover artwork. He doesn't feature much in the game.

This kit includes every conceivable setup you can imagine for an installation. You will dispose of 2/3 of the included parts, because you won't need them. The installation instructions are open to interpretation since they don't exactly match the product, but it worked and it fits nicely in my 2005 Mustang. Replacing the double DIN factory unit with a new single DIN, I even got a little storage cubby out of it!
The plastic is flimsy and the top of the aforementioned cubby is visibly bowed. When locked in, the receiver is slightly recessed, making it look decidedly aftermarket.
It worked. It fit. I kept it. Try to find a better kit, if you can.

This (finally) replaced the stock AM/FM/CD in my 2005 Mustang. Ironically, I was going to buy a similar unit by JVC, but the Geek Squad associate suggested this Kenwood as a comparable unit with better specs and EQ. Being over 40 years old, it felt weird to buy a unit with no cassette/CD, but the plethora of digital inputs makes up for it! The AUX input and USB on front make for easy plug-n-play, but pairing a wireless Bluetooth device is easy. Installation was simple using the installation kit and wiring harness (each sold separately), but I found I needed the 1' antenna extension to avoid struggling in my '05 Mustang.
User interface is not intuitive and can be confusing. Be patient during initial setup and make sure you're not driving. The color of the LED display can be changed to one of a multitude of hues, but none of them are bright enough to cut through the glare produced by the plastic cover over the face of the receiver during daylight hours. They look great at night, though! The numbered preset AM/FM station buttons are fine, but searching and tuning can be cumbersome using the small oddly placed buttons. Lastly, the single power/source button requires you to press and hold it to turn off the unit. If you need it off quickly, you are better to just turn down the volume. Selecting an input demands that you cycle through each source, pausing briefly between each. Going from Tuner to Bluetooth audio takes a little while. Don't linger too long on Pandora or it just may launch the app on your phone!
When it comes to hands free phone use, I find it's easier to make and answer calls on the phone itself, rather than mess with the Kenwood's buttons and I am not the first person to lament the poor range of the supplied microphone. I have tried placing the microphone in several locations, but the best performance is had when I clip it on myself!
Like any product, you have to learn the precise idiosyncrasies of the Kenwood's operation. However, with all of this unit's capabilities and more power than the competition $99 is a bargain asking price. You'll invest a little more for the required installation parts and/or professional installation, but this compact in-dash receiver is worth every penny.
