The original Battlestar Galactica series in full screen and widescreen format in blu-ray. The Definitive collection also has the movie that started it all, what more could you ask for? It has seasons 1-3 so you will have hours of entertainment with family and friends. Looks better than the DVD version I bought years ago. I would highly recommend this collection to all Sci-fi fans.

For the fans that bought the Definitive and the Re-mastered collection, disc three of the widescreen version of Battlestar Galactica series, there is missing footage during the episode, THE MAGNIFICENT WARRIORS. To get a free replacement disc three, go up to digital bits website to get the information on the replacement program.

All Good Things must come to an end but started The Next Generation movies. The finale was great which re-capped the beginning of the Next Generation series to the present and projected the future. This episode was in the season 7 set but they made a separate blu-ray disc for it, (to make money) and being the sucker that I am, I bought all the two part episodes that they sold separately.

Other two part episodes that they combined as one that I enjoyed the most was “The Best of Both Worlds”, “Unification” along with “All Good Things” which seemed like watching 90 minute movies. So if you are a true Trekkie, complete your collection and have a Star Trek marathon.

The Greatest Sci-fi TV show

Eureka: season 4.5 is a great. It is the new universe for our town of Eureka. I like how the new format is with the new twist and turns, couldn’t wait for the following week to see what happens. But now I have it on disc to watch whenever I want. The best episode I like is “O Little Town” which they should have ever year during the Christmas holiday season along with “Do You See What I See” which is on the season 5 set. I wish that they had a Christmas special disc with both episodes so I wouldn’t have to change the disc to watch both. I highly recommend that you get all the five seasons to get the full enjoyment of this show.

Next one I am waiting for is “Eureka” the complete series, all 5 seasons which was on Sci-fi for seven years to come out on blu-ray. Right now it is in Region “B” format from Germany. I don’t the details on language, subtitles, or if it will play on my player. Hopefully It won’t take long to be converted for U.S. viewing. I hope the format will be for all regions so I can enjoy the extras along with the main episodes. So if you like Eureka and can’t wait for the blu-ray, get the complete season sets on DVD which looks great on my HDTV.

A fitting end to a great series. I was waiting for this miniseries to come out on blu-ray. I checked Amazon and it was in German format, so I was glad they converted it for the U.S. But I found that the bonus extras don’t play on my player because the format is in Region “B”. Be careful when you purchase movies and check the format. The main movie plays great with excellent audio and most of the time I just watch the main feature of films but this was one of the times I wanted to check out the bonuses and it came up blank, no response. There were four other titles I picked up with Region “B” format with the same result especially “Buckaroo Banzai” in blu-ray.

The next one I am waiting for is “Eureka” which is a series that was on Sci-fi for seven years. It is in Region “B” from Germany. I don’t the details on language and subtitles. It shouldn’t take long to be converted for U.S. viewing, when that happens I will pick-up the complete series. I hope they convert it to “all regions” format so I can enjoy the extras. Best Buy see if you can pull some strings and help us to get Eureka on blu-ray.

The Star Trek series is one of my favorite Sci-fi series especially The Next Generation. When it first aired on TV, I watched it over and over. The Syfy channel doesn’t show any of the Star Trek series, but now I get to watch it any time I want since I bought the complete Next Generation series on blu-ray. The blu-ray version is in the original 4:3 full frame format. The sets have been restored with great video and audio with bonus extras. I also have the original Star Trek series and Star Trek Enterprise series on blu-ray. I am waiting for Star Trek Deep Space Nine and Voyager to be restored and come out in blu-ray. The Star Trek Enterprise series is the only one in widescreen format.

So if you haven’t done so already, start your collection and have a Star Trek marathon….Make It So.

Great series

I like the “Primeval: New World” the complete series. I watched it on the Syfy channel and when I got hooked on the series, it got cancelled, that is the Syfy channel for you. There were some missing questions about the series and found there was a Primeval series before “Primeval: New World” that was on BBC. I checked the Best Buy website and found “Primeval” volume 3 was the only one on blu-ray, so I bought it. After watching volume 3, I wanted to get volumes one and two which were only on DVD. That was a rip off that they did not have these two volumes on blu-ray. Hopefully the two volumes will be remastered and put on blu-ray soon, but for now I bought the two volumes on DVD and will start from the beginning to find out how the series began. The three volumes total 36 episodes, fast paced but will keep you coming back for more. So if you like dinosaurs mixed with time travel and great special effects, I recommend “Primeval” volumes 1 thru 3 and “Primeval: New World” to add to your collection.

If you like the hard to find classics titles, go to Best Buy website. The operators are a great help and very friendly. And if you are an Elite Plus member, Free Expedite shipping. Order the first part of the week and you will receive your order by the end of the week to get ready for a marathon weekend .

Another Great Gerry Anderson show

Great movie, wish it was in Blu-ray format. It has time travel with dinosaurs and a bit of Sci-Fi. So if you are into this type of movie, I recommend you buy this movie. Others you that are similar to this movie are "Primeval" and "Primeval New World". these are good series that should not been canceled, but that is the Syfy channel for you.
