This vacuum is unlike anything else.
Opening the box, I was pleasantly surprised on how organized it is, like opening a high end electronics. Inside the carton there is another box with a handle, which opens like a folder and each piece is neatly organized.
Putting it together takes just as minute.
The vacuum itself is very compact. All the components are on the base. The handle is quality plastic and aluminum, making it lightweight. It even has an extra handle to lift it. The handle swivels making maneuvering the vacuum very easy.
The Li-Ion battery pack is removable (similar to power tools) and can be charged on the vacuum or stand-alone. This is great because it could have an additional battery pack, and the vacuum doesn't have to be discarded when the battery dies, like on some stick vacuums. Status LEDs are also part of the battery cartridge. It indicates charging, charge and faults.

An very unique feature is that the roller is surrounded by rubber strips that when on the floor creates a vacuum so the suction is very good, on par or better than on corded vacuums. It picked up amounts of dirt from an area rug that the previous vacuum wouldn't.
The base is fairly low profile and the handle goes flat to the floor so it can easily reach under beds.
The front of the vacuum has LED strips that makes it easy to see where it goes.
The roller has enough power to help push the vacuum forward, and is has a tangle detection feature that will stop the vacuum if it gets tangled. I haven't seen any other vacuum do that.
The battery lasts about 30 minutes on hardwood floors, and feels like it's working harder on rugs. The roller can be removed if used on shaggy rugs. One caveat is that the roller can accumulate hair, although it's very easy to remove: Push a pin on the side and comes off.
The bin and filter are all in one piece, and comes off easily by just lifting it off the vacuum. The bin is light and small. When opening it to empty, there is a handle to help push all the dirt out without having to touch the container. No need to shake it to get dust balls off.
There is a replaceable filter in form of a tube that can be rinsed clean, and that's inside the bin, so all the dirty parts are self-contained.
The handle stays upright on its own. I have to hold the base with one foot so start it, so it won't fall off when not in use. Having a swiveling handle makes it very easy to use. This combines a mopping roller and vacuum in one step. Because it vacuums at the same time it mops and scrubs, hardwood floors end up slightly moist but not wet, so they dry up within minutes.
The machine uses two removable containers: One for clean water + formula and other for dirty water, and a roller.
All of these are very easy to remove and wash.
Most of the pieces that come in contact with the floor and liquids are very simple to wash.
The roller can be removed and washed or can be left on the unit, which comes with a pedestal than can hold some water so the roller can remain moist.

While we vacuum the hardwood floors and small area rags regularly, the first time we used the CrossWave, it picked so much dirt the the water was solid brown, so this works a lot better than vacuuming alone.

I'm thoroughly impressed how the Bissell CrossWave cleans hardwood and area rugs.
Back in the summer we had construction work done in the house. After two months of cleaning and vacuuming, thought that the hardwood floor was fairly clean. The first time that I used the bissell, with enough mix for a 'small area', applied it to two rooms that are mostly hardwood and a small area rug, the dirty water was like mud: Very dirty, with some fibers from the rug and dust it picked from the floor. Never imagined it would pick up so much dirt!
How it works:
Mix warm tap water and cleaning solution into one tank. This tank is lightweight and the cover does not leak. Tank has very clear labels on how to mix. Insert it in the machine. Then pick a roller (Comes with two for mixed surfaces that's slightly more rough and one for hardwood that's a soft cloth). On top of the rollers there's a dirty water tank and a washable filter.
That's it. Turn it on by selecting either hardwood or rug. The difference is that on rug, it dispenses twice the amount of solution.
Because it vacuums the water while it cleans, a hardwood floor dries in minutes and leaves no streaks. An area rug can remain slightly moist for a while though.
When done, remove the dirty water tank, rinse it, and optionally remove and rinse the roller. The cover for the roller comes off easily with little pressure, and there's a small handle to remove the roller. The simplest system I've used.
Most of the parts that come in contact with water can be taken off and rinsed.
It comes with a pedestal that can be left with water to help clean the roller that is installed while stored, although I prefer to rinse the rollers first. There's an attachment to keep two more rollers dying.

Great coffee, No Pods

I've been looking at several single-serve coffee makers, and I'm keeping the Ninja Coffee Bar.
It's very simple to use, and no pods to dispose of. Ground coffee is a lot cheaper than pods.
Cleaning the permanent filter (included) is very easy. The filter receptacle can be removed with the filter and is very simple to clean. It has a spring that stops leaks when removed from the machine. If cleaning a permanent filter is too much effort, it also takes #2 cone filters, which are fairly inexpensive.

It brews espresso in 4 oz and 8 oz, small and large cups, 12 oz and 16 oz traveller mugs. It also has different brew intensities (Normal and strong, plus the espresso buttons).
On the left side there is a frother that slides out of the back of the machine, and the water tank, which holds about 32 oz is on the right.
On top of the machine there is a steam vent that produces a lot of steam when brewing so I need to slide the brewer far from cabinets, so the underside doesn't get hit with hot steam. This seems to be the case with most coffee makers although pod machines don't seem to produce as much steam.
Over the base of the machine there's a pull-down cup holder so it takes either a cup or a mug.

The frother can be used even with the machine off and works very well, it's removable and it's rated as dishwasher safe, although it's simple enough to rinse, I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher. It doesn't warm up the milk, so there is no extra container to clean.
To make a cappuccino, Simply put the cup in the microwave for 30 seconds or so, froth it and then brew either 4 oz or 8 oz.
Other machines that steamed the milk that I used in the past were a pain to clean. Not this.

It comes with a double-sided measuring cup, that's labeled and simple to understand. Very simple to use and other than rinsing the permanent filter, mess free.
So although it takes a bit more effort than pods, coffee tastes very good (depending on the beans used of course), offers better combinations of drinks and it's a lot cheaper to use in the long term. Plus there is no plastic pod to dispose of.
The coffee maker also comes with a coffee 'recipe book' that is nice. I plan on trying some more unusual combinations.

This model was replaced for the V6, so got this on sale, which makes it a much more reasonable buy.
The motor is more than adequate for most tasks. It has two speeds. In normal mode, the battery lasts about 15 minutes and about 6 minutes in 'turbo' (i.e. full speed).
It comes with two attachments: A long wand for reaching into tight spaces and a combo nozzle with an upholstery brush that recesses when not in use. Being a Dyson there are a lot of optional attachments.
The battery is Li-On but not removable. It comes with a wall charger. There is no charging stand.
It's great for little jobs around the kitchen, cleaning the car, vacuuming drawers and sofas, and it's lightweight.
It's very easy to clean: Hold the vacuum over a trash can, and press a release that pushes the bottom of the trash reservoir open, without ever touching the dirt. There is a washable filter that requires occasional cleaning. There are no disposable parts.
It's good to have it around the kitchen. But keep in mind that Dyson has the same vacuums in 'stick' models, that come with more accessories and wall mount charger, but costs at least $ 100 more.

Purchased this monitor after searching for economical 1080p monitors with HDMI inputs, and for under $ 100 at the time of purchase, this proved to be an excellent choice. It has HDMI, DVI and VGA inputs, so it connects to any computer (Computers with DisplayPort need an adapter to HDMI).
The monitor is light. It remains cool because the power supply is external (Has to be hidden under the desk). The side bezels are thin giving it a nice look, with no unnecessary ornamentation to distract from the screen. The base is firm but doesn't provide much adjustment.
Also the monitor doesn't have speakers but it has an audio out on the back. The audio source is the HDMI connector.
The screen is glossy but doesn't reflect as much as others. The screen is IPS, that unlike 'regular' LEDs have a much better view from angle. This makes a big difference compared to other monitors.
It's bright enough to be used comfortably next to a window.
For everyday tasks this is an excellent monitor.
The only caveat that for most people wouldn't be an issue is that it doesn't accept a VESA mount, unless a custom bracket is used attached to the base arm. Other than that, it has an excellent image at 1080p resolution, and is 23" so it's easier on the eyes.

The reason why I needed another charger is because the cable from the computer connector started to give, and while it works I'm not confident it will work for much longer. Not sure why it's so fragile.
Since it's a proprietary connector I wasn't confident in 3rd party power supplies

Used the toaster sparingly for a few weeks. Toasts bread / bagels fairly evenly. Being a toaster, this is obviously key.
Heating elements are covered. The crumb tray is easy to remove.
Controls are fairly intuitive to operate. Took a few minutes the first time to get it right. The display is backlit and turns on only when needed or working.
The knob for selecting temperature doesn't have a great feeling to it, however it's working as it should. So this is a concern, possibly unjustified.
Other than that minor detail, the oven works, and using it is intuitive. Just took me a short while to get used to the controls coming from a very basic older toaster.

The stainless finish is real, uncoated stainless steel, so it's a bit of smudge prone but it's easy to clean. This is expected though, like any stainless appliance.

My Gaming PC has no display port output, just HDMI. Will this work with a converter (HDMI to DVI)? Which one is recommended by Oculus?
It would be odd that a gaming PC doesn't have a DisplayPort. If it has USB-C or Tunderbolt ports, get an adapter from USBC-C to DisplayPort. I'm not sure it will work with HDMI because of the refresh rates

It has a single display, and IPD can be adjusted in software. Not ideal, but can work

Yes , but it depends. I currently have Verizon Fios, so I think it's the same setup.
I initially ordered Fios without a router, with Ethernet directly from the ONT. This definitely works. Connect the ONT's Ethernet cable directly to the internet port. You might have to call the provider to 'release DHCP', for it to work, if replacing another router, or it should work on its own overnight.
If the account is set up so you're required to use their router, then you still can disable WiFi on their router and connect this to one of the ethernet ports on the router. Once you set it up initially via the phone app, change the connection type to 'Bridge Mode' (From the app is simpler, but it can also be done from the desktop).
Note that this is more or less the same with any other WiFi router.
If you then add more mesh nodes, then there isn't anything else special to do here. It will work.

The beam doesn't have an analog input. It can be done, but you'll need a turntable with a line out (Not phono out) and an analog to TOSLINK adapter (TOSLINK is a digital optical cable).

Will this device pair well with the vizio m50-e1? Not sure if my tv has the necessary ports for this device.
You'll need to either use the HDMI port that's labeled 'ARC' on the TV to connect to the soundbar, or use the audio output of the TV with an extra SPDIF to TOSLINK adapter.
