I gotta say - I really like Captain America. I wasn't sure I would, but I do. The second installment ("The Winter Soldier) is truly good. If you haven't seen it - or if you're on the fence like I was - chances are if you get this one, you'll go back to get the first one as well.

OK - Let's get the preliminary stuff out of the way. I grew up watching & buying Transformers/Go-Bots. I was a happy camper. Then when the movies started coming out - I really looked forward to them, knowing the technology was here to do them justice. One thing I overlooked was: how much fighting would take up time-wise in each movie? The percentage grew, which meant plot & storytelling would have to take a back seat more & more. This is the 4th Transformers movie. The logo changed since the Shia days to somehow differentiate THOSE movies from this (and maybe more). Plot became simple and to the point, told in mere moments as the movie unfolded. Fight scenes were just endless. Endless... I realized, there is no more story. All plot lines were only excuses to one end: MORE/LONGER FIGHT SCENES. Honestly, am I sorry I bought this? Yes. I watched it in the theaters and - primarily because I owned the other three - I purchased this (visually) beautifully presentation of a REAL bad movie. I like the actors, not some of the characters (Hate the secret boyfriend - Dad should have shot him and put him under some wreckage. Daughter needed a butt-kicking real bad, as well.) Truth: I bought this the day it came out & I have yet to watch it. It's nowhere near the top of my list to do so. Save your money. Watch one of the previous releases (if pretty much you only love the fight scenes) and pretend it's the new one. Chances are, you won't be able to tell the difference.

I first saw/heard this with my kid brother. He answered his email and listened to an mp3 that was sent to him over his car stereo while he was driving. It was amazing. I didn't know how he had done this and he showed me. This device is clean and easy to use. Any musicians out there who want to hear their music in their car can now hear digital quality at their touch. Buy this!
I always wondered when they'd get the relationship with Peter & Gwen right? When would we see Peter's torment believably? Now. That alone is worth this DVD.
Absolutely riveting! The intertwined stories of reincarnated people, each meeting another in different times with different character flaws and strengths. Amazing acting from Tom Hanks and Halle Berry, probably their best work to date. Equally mesmerizing are performances by: Susan Sarandon, Jim Broadbent, Keith David, Ben Whishaw, Bae Doo-na, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess and Hugh Grant. Each actor plays a number of different characters and adapts well to the demands that each separate role demands. Buy this NOW! BTW - I checked rather thoroughly for the best price on this baby and I found it here at Best Buy!

Fun! Terrific character development. John Goodman and Billy Crystal are amazing together! The cool thing about Pixar and Disney is absolutely everything they do is so cool. For Instance, the attention to detail from references from the first release, Monsters Inc. to the "Do-You-Think-Anyone-Will-Notice-? music chosen to play over the scene where we first see the university (was that REALLY taken from Monty Python's 'Meaning of Life'? ..."ev-er-y something-something is sacred, e-ver-y something-something is good"...)!
Truly classic. Truly cool. You need to get this one.

This toy I made sure to get for my 4 year old grand-daughter. It is so very well made - the detail, workmanship and durable nature all contributed to her loving this one immediately.
Terror abounds in the made-for-TV miniseries event Stephen King's It. The film is presented in a newly matted 1.85:1 widescreen edition that is modified from its original form (in other words, black bars have been inserted onto the top and bottom of the original full frame transfer). The image appears to be in better-than-average shape with colors and black levels all solid and well defined. While there appears to be some softness in the picture, overall this transfer should please horror fans everywhere. The soundtrack is presented in an apt Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo mix in English. Since Stephen King's It was originally produced for TV, it's no surprise to find this audio track flat and somewhat boring. However, what this mix lacks in directional effects and fidelity it makes up for with crystal clear dialogue, music and effects. Also included on this disc are English, French and Spanish subtitles. The sole extra feature on this DVD is a commentary track by director Tommy Lee Wallace and actors John Ritter, Richard Thomas, Tim Ried and Dennis Christopher. Filled with some funny asides about the production and witty banter (especially from Ritter), this commentary track is worth the listen for any true Stephen King fans.

I had a privilege once. My friend was a manager at the local Blockbuster and he would give me the key to the back room every week and let me 'borrow' all the movies to be released I thought I could handle. In exchange, I would review them so he knew what to commend and why as if he, himself, had watched them. It was a wonderful arrangement. When reviewing a film, I ask myself whether - in a few years - if this film were to be remade would it beat this one and if not, why not? First, this a TV Mini-Series, not a motion picture. Perhaps, if was envisioned as a motion picture, certain constant inferior elements wouldn't have reminded us it was 'just TV'. The kid actors did a better job than the adults - except for Richard Thomas who seemed to outshine his co-stars on the adult side. Jonathan Brandis was excellent. Absolutely. He brought exactly what was needed for the part of Bill. I actually believed he may have stuttered at one time in his life. I wish he was still around. He would be an actor I would look forward to seeing. Adam Faraizl was also awesome as Eddie. Who knew the weak kid with psychosomatic asthma could stand up to the evil clown Pennywise so convincingly? Pennywise scared the s**t out of me. Tim Curry was so good in his role that the thought of replacing him in a newer version of this story in a film would frighten any actor - and rightfully so. He was SO good, some guys named their band after his character. Biggest failure? The monster at the end. A spider? Really? This is why the book is ALWAYS better. Key performances by Curry, Brandis and others held this one together to make it something to own for me, in spite of "It"s flaws.

What's great about it: On the whole, the kids were better actors than the adults.

You have headphones plugged into a jack meant for something else. Unplug it. Count the black rings on the plug. 2 = stereo headphones...
