Yes you can connect your PS3 as a wireless device. But make sure you have a large data plan. Because your PS3 can consume so much data (Depending on your usage).

It does provide you a secure connection. You can even personalize the password by going to your account online. Just like your home wifi is secured with a password.

Can this be used during a flight. Plane we are flying on does not have wifi. Can this be used to hook my tablet to so we can stream netflix.
You cannot use this while you are on a flight. It is similar to a cell phone using cellular data through network provider. Since you cannot turn on your cel phone during a flight (Besides WiFi), you wont be able to use this. There wont be any signal reception at that altitude.
