A terrific movie. If you have not seen it in a while, it holds up very well. Great casting, fine directing and a compelling story. One of Sorkin's best scripts.
Visually stunning, this movie has me on the fence. It is way too long and who needs a 20 minute fight scene. We get it, its a battle to the end, but why so long. I liked parts, but after a while I got bored with it.
Although this movie is based on facts, they have been altered. Setting that aside, it is a grueling, captivating and well made movie. The cast is wonderful, directing is great, cinematography is terrific. A little too long, but a good watch.
FRONTIER DOCTOR was a flop as a series and it doesn't fair much better on DVD. Video is barely passable. Not really worth your time. There is much better Saturday afternoon nostalgia to watch.
I own all the episodes that have been released because I'm a die hard TV western fan. This series was a real sleeper and not worth the purchase unless you loved Rex Allen in anything he did. Poor video quality.
Rex Allen comes to the small screen in what was a syndicated, short lived tv series of 39 episodes. It was just an ok show that didn't deserve much more than its 39. The poor video quality doesn't make the viewing any more enjoyable.
This set collects all eight episodes of the western series Young Maverick in which Charles Frank stars as Ben Maverick, cousin of Bret Maverick, the character made famous by James Garner in the original hit series from the 1950s and '60s. Also included in this collection, is the 1978 made-for-TV movie, The New Maverick, which starred both Garner and Frank.
I was never disappointed with any of the MAVERICK series. This dvd includes the complete series and the pilot movie that preceded it. James Garner and Jack Kelly appear in the pilot and bring back all the memories from their original show. Good quality video and sound.
You are sure to enjoy this one. Even though it is 25 years old, it still holds up. Spielberg producing, Zemeckis directing, Bob Hoskins behind the cartoon wheel of this joyful romp, it's fun and quality all the way around.
Shot out in Santa Clarita, California at Melody Ranch, this was one of Gene Autry's productions that had non stop action. 4 Episodes, quality not the best, but decent. Dick Jones, from the RANGE RIDER tv series stars. In real life he was an extraordinary horseman. Did his own stunts. He was the voice of Pinocchio in the Disney movie of the same name.
You can't go too far wrong here. Delightful for kids. Animation is very dated, but that is what they had at that time. Watch the extra material and you will get a better appreciation of what went into making this. Cheerful songs, nice story, Characters are enjoyable. Blu Ray has good quality and sound.
