Eh

This movie is okay at best, but definitely isn't really a blockbuster. Instead, it's more like a filler movie in your DVD collection. The usual horror items are there (blood, gore, violence, etc.), but the worst than normal "horror acting" really turns you away from this one. Kinda expected more in the sequel.
What's great about it: Lots of blood, gore, and violence
What's not so great: Acting wasn't that great, even by horror movie standards

This is one of the best water filters for a refrigerator that I've ever purchased. The water stays clean with no deposits, tastes great, and lasts for a while. The replacement process is also incredibly easy. A simply turn and pull process, you can't beat that with a stick.
What's great about it: Lasts long and keeps your water looking and tasting clean.
What's not so great: None.

Great Movie

At first I was a little unsure about buying this one, but was glad I did after watching it. It has some great action and special effects that keep your eyes jumping. Being that it's set in the future allows for the use of incredicle technology that is used throughout this movie. The storyline is solid also with a massive coverup going on that many apparently know about, but are too fearful to do anything with the exception of select crew. Of couse it takes one lone character to finally stand up and isolate herself from all sides in order to unravel the truth. What a ride!

For the longest I wouldn't watch this movie because I felt that the visual style used in this movie was a knock off of the God of War video game visual style (and still do), but was finally talked into watching it and all I could say was, "Wow!" This movie was ripe with action and a lot of heart making for a really nice surprise.

I kept hearing about how good this movie was and read all the reviews and finally I said, "All right all right, I'll check it out!" Let me tell you, the previews didn't do this movie any justice. This movie was so funny that my stomach was in so much pain afterward from all the laughing. This was definitely one of those movies that caught me by surprise at how over the top it was with its humor. Andy has to be the text book example of a true 40 year old virgin and watching him trying to remedy this problem is just way too funny....mainly because of what his co-workers at Smart Tech put him through. If you purchase this movie, you won't be sorry as it's one of those movies you can watch over and over again.

Great Movie

Knowing how talented Bruce Willis and Mos Def are I expected this movie to be good, but was shocked at how much better than expected this movie turned out to be. I have to say that Mos Def stole the show as his level of acting was much higher than other musical artist you see featured in films. This movie provided a touch of comedy, a lot of action, and decent dose of drama making for a great movie.

Curtis Hanson is such a talented filmmaker, it's really too bad that more content isn't added to his movies on DVD. As with L.A. Confidential, this disc doesn't go far enough. An extensive documentary on the making of this film would have been a real plus, but sadly all that is offered is a nine-minute featurette. As much cast and crew interviews and behind the scenes, as shots from the film, it just doesn't go much further than standard studio PR material. More important, and far longer at around 24 minutes, are actual rap battles put together by the filmmakers to keep the mass of extras actors content during filming. Beyond that is a music tie-in for the soundtracks that takes you to the specific place in the movie for each song, an extremely racy music video for "Superman" from Eminem, the theatrical trailer, and the standard slew of production notes and filmographies. As for the film itself, the sound is a real highlight. Present in 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS tracks (as well as a 5.1 track in French) the audio on this disc is very powerful. Since so much of the film is made up of rap music segments, the bass really takes control. The low frequencies are deep and rich, but dialogue is never indistinguishable. The image, framed at 2.35:1 and anamorphic (there is a separate pan-and-scan version, and both also come in censored and uncensored editions) is a faithful representation of the theatrical print. The transfer is nearly perfect, at least as it's intended to be. Grain is evident, and purposeful, while colors stand out against the dreary backgrounds of Detroit. Whether you are fan of Eminem or not, this film is the Rocky of rap films, and while lacking in significant supplements, the DVD is a knock-out punch.

If you're a fan of hip hop, then this is a movie you should consider purchasing. The storyline is strong enough that you don't knod off and it's not filled with with too much drama either. If fact, there's a decent amount of comedy along with some great music and rap battles. The acting is better than I expected although it's still not anything that'll wow you. Still this movie is pretty good and is something that you can watch several times over.

Fans of Arnold Schwarzenegger's delirious science fiction mind-bender Total Recall may find themselves right at home with this action-packed tale of replicants, reanimators, and clones. And like the movie itself, Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment's special edition DVD is packed with enough bells and whistles to wile away plenty of serious couch time. The two-disc set features the film in its original theatrical widescreen presentation (2.35:1 enhanced) and with a very robust and active English language 5.1 Dolby Digital soundtrack (French, Spanish, and Portuguese language options are also available). The picture is superb, as is to be expected, coming off clean, color balanced, and sharp throughout. The 5.1 soundtrack contains some nice active channel separation, while still keeping the dialogue audible. Disc one also contains an audio commentary track with composer Trevor Rabin (guitarist from the band Yes) with an isolated 5.1 music score. The track will surely be of interest to budding film composers, though all others may want to stay away. Disc two contains plenty of other digital goodies, including nine behind-the-scenes featurettes chronicling all facets of the movie's production, especially the wonderful special effects work; the Showtime special "The Future Is Coming" (which doesn't really offer anything of any importance); storyboard comparisons; the amusingly surreal and macabre RePet infomercials and TV spots in their entirety; theatrical trailers; filmographies; and more. For fans of the movie, you can now safely dispose of the previously released no-frills disc.

Got this movie a few years back from Best Buy and it's ok, but nothing that'll really grab you. It's way too long for one and I caught myself dozing off a few times. The storyline is decent and the acting is average, but all in all it's more of a filler movie in your collection more than anything else.

I had to finally do it

I had reservations about writing a review for this game, not because it's weak or anything like that...no no, far from it! It's actually so good that there's WAY too many great things to say about this game in a small review. If you're into RPGs, I'm telling you this is #1! There are just so many side quests, main quests, storylines, weapons, and more that will literally keep you playing for months at a time....I'm dead serious, it's that involved!
The graphics are amazing and the sound is too making for a very well developed game. "How well developed?" you ask, let me put to you like this....on most games you have to be around other characters in order for "life to go on," on this game life goes on whether you're around or not which makes it all the more challenging because if an important person in one of your quests is slain out there somewhere by another character (even by accident), then you can't finish the quest. It also works in the opposite direction where if you need to slay someone in a quest and someone else does it for you, you get the credit for finishing the quest.
I have to end this review right here because I could literally go on and on about this game. If you doubt how truly awesome this game is, go out and rent it and I promise you'll ditch the rent and go out and buy the game yourself....it's that good!

A true hot one

Got this game as part of one of the bundle packages when the PS3 originally came out and I couldn't be happier. There's plenty of action to go 'round in the single player mode and it gets even better once you go online. Since its release they've added a few add-on packs on the Playstation Network and those give it even more spice. The add-ons are mostly additional maps/weapons and what not, but they still add to the pleasure/replay factor. If you're looking for one of a kind weapons, tons of action, and hours of game play, then this is the game for you!

CAN'T GET PS3 TO WORK ON MY HUGHESNET INTERNET FOR GAMING

Unfortunately, the news won't be good for your situation. Hughesnet is a satellite ISP, which means that the signal has to travel all the way from earth to space and then back again. Because of this, there is a VERY noticeable lag time and you can't get "real-time online gaming". Basically, any game you try to play online on PS3, Xbox, or PC won't play correctly due to that lag time. If you're able to swich to a local ISP through DSL or cable high speed Internet, then you'll be good to go. Otherwise, with Hughesnet you're going to ge stuck with playing games offline. Sorry for the bad news.

Will Upconvert dvd player play blueray disk?

I have a visio 32 lcd hd 1080p tv and a upconvert dvd player. Will blue ray disk play on the player?
Unfortunately not. Upconvert DVD players can only upconvert regular DVDs to try and get close to HD quality resolution, but not 100%. For blu-ray discs playback, you'll need to buy a stand alone blu-ray player or Playstation 3. There's many stand alone blu-ray players for under $200 that play great nowa days. I recently purchased the Sony BDP-S360 blu-ray player on a really good sale and it plays both DVDs and blu-ray disc with no problems for well under $200.

should i get gh5 or lego rock band for my first game

I would definitely go with Guitar Hero 5 instead of Lego Rock Band. Even though Lego Rock Band isn't out yet, that whole line of Lego games just gets old fast. GH5 however is already out and has proven itself to be a very good game with high ratings all around. Don't forget that the Guitra Hero series also has a pretty good track record for fun downloadable content, which I can't say the same for those Lego games.
