Whitechapel are known for their blistering deathcore attack, but have really stepped up their game to stretch their sound. Use of clean vocals and even a ballad enter the mix on this album. However, the album is strongly consistent.
This album starts off slow with the first song, but kicks into high gear by the second song. Has 2 instrumental tracks to help set the mood. 45 minutes of really good music. I recommend it.
This album crushed when it came out in 1996 and the remaster job really helped bring out the heaviness of the album. Extremely good work by Satyricon on this reissue!
New line-up for the band means new creative juices were flowing. Great production and great songwriting. Extremely heavy effort. Fans of the bands previous works will NOT be disappointed.
